Let Me Show You My STYLE.

BACKGROUND ☆

Lee Yookyung was born in Seoul, South Korea, on a cold day in December of 1996 to a Korean businessman and a Japanese chef who had been married for ten years prior to Yookyung's birth. She was the unexpected Christmas child for the couple who had no plans for a second child after Jaehyun's birth in 1990. Jaehyun, her older brother, when Yookyung was born was rather unhappy with her arrival. The six year old boy hated his little sister and often hid the baby girl in various places like the closet, basement, and under the sink so that she would be hidden and he would be the only one for a bit.  However, she would always be found because of her crying and Jaehyun would get in trouble for doing that to his sister.

Yookyung and Jaehyun warmed up to each other, and in 2000, the family moved to Tokyo due to Lee Juhyeok's promotion at work and the decision to take on the management of the B2K branch in Japan. At the time of the move, Yookyung was five years old still and her brother was ten years old. They lived in Japan for about five years and Yookyung picked up Japanese, becoming very good at it. By 2005, and at nine years old, Yookyung could read, write and speak Japanese well because of going to school and learning with several other kids her age.  In October of 2005, Lee Juhyeok and Takami moved the family back to Seoul, South Korea. Altough she was sad to leave her new friends behind, Yookyung was looking forward to starting stuff again in Seoul.

When they came back to Seoul, Yookyung was put into an arts school to nurture her recently discovered vocal talent. While going to the arts school, Yookyung went forth along with her mother to several auditions. She had decided a long time ago that all she wanted to do was to be on stage.  In 2007, at the age of 11, she auditioned for NH Media, deciding to sing Persona by Kangta. When she recieved the notice that she was in, she began full time training in NH Media, alongside UKISS' Soohyun, Xander, Dongho and Eli, as  well as fellow Harmony. Her studies in the art school were placed on hold.

After UKISS successfully debuted and NH media announced the debut of a girl group in 2009, Yookyung was 13 at the time and she was scared and excited at the same time. She wanted to rock this. In 2009, Harmony debuted and Yookyung immediately found herself thrown into a cutthroat world of competition. However, she quickly grabbed netizen attention with her cute looks and vocal skills. While  the group was inactive or simply other members had solo activities, she had taken up her classes in the art school again as well as occasional solo stuff herself.

At school, she still worked hard and in 2015, she graduated from Seoul School of Arts. In 2013, she kept her solo activities to a minimum only appearing in music videos and osts as well as the group promotions. She graduated with good marks, but decided against going to college right away, choosing to take a G.A.P year and rest a bit from all the schooling as well as the schedules. 
 

FAMILY ☆

— Father, Lee Juhyeok ☆ 56 ☆ Businessman ☆ hardworking, polite, prideful ☆ Yookyung and her father, Juheyok aren't very close, because he spends more time with her older brother  grooming him to take over the company. Whenever they do hang out, it's an awkward silence that envelops them. Yookyung finds herself feeling incredibly awkward and constantly at a loss for words. He is silently supportive of her dreams and goals, and that is enough to make Juyeong happy.
— Mother, Lee Takami (nee Ryu)  ☆ 54 ☆ Chef  ☆ caring, fun, honest  ☆ Takami is like Yookyung's best friend. She tells her mother everything that happens to her and makes it an occasion to call her every two weeks, to update her on what's up in her life and  get advice on what to do. She trusts her mother more than her closest friends.  When she comes to visit, Takami takes her out shopping to gossip and do girly things like manis and pedis. Takami has also passed on her skills as a chef to Yookyung.
— Brother, Lee Jaehyun ☆ 25 ☆ Musician at a cafe ☆ bossy, loud, annoying, rambunctious ☆ Jaehyun and Yookyung fight like cats and dogs. They constantly prank each other and she is always on the receiving end of his most brutal pranks. However, Jaehyun loves his sister in his own way. Yookyung constantly teases him about not having a girlfriend and Jaehyun just takes it, because he knows that Yookyung means best. Together, they are the ultimate party team, throwing down awesome parties.

— Best Friend, Kevin Woo☆ 23 ☆ UKISS Main Vocalist ☆ Sassy, intelligent, cute, fabulous ☆ Yookyung met Kevin shortly after she made it into NH Media. She had seen the boys of UKISS practicing for their upcoming debut and she watched them fascinated, after her audition. Kevin had noticed her and approached the girl first to befriend her. ☆ Kevin thinks of Yookyung as the little sister that he never had. He brings her gifts from their tours in Japan. The others of UKISS call it clinginess but Kevin calls it looking out for her. This means though no one can date Yookyung without Kevin's permission. Yookyung adores Kevin and constantly compliments
— Friend, Nam Woohyun ☆ 23 ☆ INFINITE Main Vocalist ☆ Greasy, obnoxious, affectionate and caring ☆ Yookuyung and Woohyun met when she came on set of Be Mine Music Video shoot. She was very excited to film her very first music video apperance, and Woohyun had walked up to her and tried to flirt with her by using his greasy hearts. She simply laughed it off and rejected him politely.  ☆ While not as close as she is to Kevin, Yookyung still considers Woohyun as her close oppa, and tells him so when she sees him. They try to hang out at Music shows and occasionally out of shows. She likes him because he buys her food whenever she wants and asks using her aegyo.
— Friend, Lee Joonkyu ☆ 24 ☆ Barista at a cafe  ☆ a party girl, lazy, rambunctious ☆ Joonkyu and Yookyung met through Yookyung's brother, Jaehyun. Joonkyu and Jaehyun actually dated for about four years and she met Joonkyu when her brother was introducing the girl to the rest of the family. ☆ They are relatively close. Yookyung still thinks her brother is not good enough for her and she keeps telling her that while they do hang out.  She calls Joonkyu the unnie of all unnies.

PERSONALITY ☆
      The new maknae  of UKISS is a walking contradiction. Junyoung or Jun as most people call him, is incredibly shy and awkward at first when you first meet him, but he makes up for his awkwardness and shyness through his charming smiles. He is described as a tsundere, since he has a cold persona at first. Tsundere is defined as a person who is initially cold and even hostile towards another person before gradually showing their warm side over time. Junyoung is very shy at first which makes him seem very cold, but as you get to know him, he begins to smile and laugh and crack jokes. He takes a while to get comfortable with people but once he is, it  is like he's been friends with that person for years.  Jun is an innocent young man and as such would prefer to keep that innocence, only willing to give it up to someone he really likes.

RELATIONSHIP ☆ They have a very easygoing relationship. Since they already know each other well, it is easier for Jun to show his gentle and caring side to her. Not overly touchy or ual with each other, their relationship and love is very sweet and innocent. They go out to coffee shops in disguise, since they're both idols, but they do try to make time for each other at some times even if it is just hanging out at the practice rooms in NH or at the dorms. The kisses are innocent and the touches have no other intentions. In public, around UKISS and the other Harmony members, they just hold hands lightly, providing the subtle comforting touch. They aren't incredibly obvious and that's what keeps them happy.

HISTORY ☆
           Jun and Yookyung met in 2010, in school. Since they were almost the exact same age, Jun and Yookyung were in the same class. She was the studious one who alwys pushed to study more and more so that she could graduate as the best and the top of the class. Jun was only good at dancing and singing but had a secret passion for rapping as well. They were never officially got along since they never actually talked in class, but a group project had brought the two of them together and they officially met and became sort of friends, but Yookyung then had Harmony stufff and she stopped going to school for a few years until 2013. In 2013, she went back to school, but Jun was in a different class and they didn't see each other at all.

         They met again in 2014, when Kevin introduced Jun as the new member of UKISS, and Yookyung was very unreceptive towards her old friend, since she still considered Dongho as a UKISS member and felt that Jun wouldn't be able to measure up to the UKISS standard. Jun managed to sway that opinion when they were filming the music video for Quit Playing and she was his dance partner in the chorus dance sequence.

LOVE STORY ☆ On his birthday, Jun decides that he wants the very best gift and so makes a plan to confess to Yookyung. Jun and Yookyung got interrupted several times by UKISS and Harmony before Jun finally fed up with things skips the words and kisses her.
