personality — jae yeol is a independent child. he doesnt like to worry his parents and would try to do everything by himself. maybe its because of his disability, he matured faster than other kids his age. he knows what he likes, what he want, what he can do and what he cant. he is also a very generous person. he dont mind spending money on other people, but he doesnt like to spend money on himself. he saves money well for future use ever since he was young. if he dont need it, he dont want it.
jae yeol is a perfectionist. he hates seeing things out of place. his room is always neat and tidy, and he would help to clean up the house whenever he can too. he often nag at people to clean up after themselves as he finds it annoying if the same person always do the same 'imperfect' thing. as he is a perfectionist, he is confident of everything he do, as long as his disability doesnt show. he is quite impatient, he knows that time is precious and what you have now, you might not have tomorrow, which is why he tend to rush things a bit and find it hard to accept people who just waste their time.
another motivation for him to finish his work fast, is the fun that he can have after. he likes to organise get-togethers or parties after big events to encourage and motivate people for the next milestone, also because he is thankful for their hard work and being a good team player.

background — his father's father's and his mother's father was really good friends and buddies, and so when they got married, they decided that their children will get married to each other when they grow up. however, his father's family migrated to new zealand a few years after his father was born because of his father's father's job. when the two kids grew up, his father's father sent his son to new zealand to fulfil their promise. who says arranged marriages are bad? the two young adults managed to get married and gave birth to adorable jae yeol in korea.
the baby was born with a hearing disability that will worsen as he grows. when jae yeol was two, his father finally decided to return to new zealand, bringing along his new family. jae yeol grew up in new zealand, however, due to his mother's and mother's parents lack of knowledge in english, they still communicated in korean at home. years past, and he grew up into a child that love music despite his disability.
he learnt to lip read in both english and korean, and to feel the beats of the music without actually hearing the music (like kim soo hyun's character in dream high). he was called a music prodigy by his friends and neighbours. he was also able to talk like a normal child without hearing himself, he's all-prepared to turn deaf. jae yeol started liking tablo since young ever since he saw a video of him in youtube. he watched all his shows and downloaded all his songs, he's basically a fan. he manged to persuade his parents to send him to korea so that he can fulfil his dream of being a kpop star.
despite their relunctance and worries, they agreed to let him fly to korea at the age of 16.

Entertainment Background — he joined yg entertainment. he trained there for 6 years and was about to debut but the scandal came, which took away his chance from his dream. because he needed money for his own survival (he refused to accept help fom his parents), he worked part time jobs which he was a trainee. one of it was as a bartender at a night club. photos was taken of him coming out of the club with drunk women. he explained himself by saying that it was because they were too drunk to go home themselves, and he have to send them home before the club can close for the night. being the maknae of the tiny club, it was normal for him to do the extra chore of sending them home. however despite his explaination, people still have doubts as to what kind of job did he really take on in the club. the scandal just got worse, therefore he was kicked out of yg.
because of his scandal, some reporters digged deepper into his history and found out that he's actually deaf. after that fact of him was revealed, he was immediately blacklisted in other companies, since no company believed that a deaf person can do well in performing music. he was dispaired when the news got out.
he continued to work part time while trying to look for a company that might actually accept him. he found out about sc entertainment through this drunk guy who happened to visit the club he was working in. the customer was totally drunk and jae yeol, again have to send him back home. after searching his body, he could find no phones, ic or address, the only thing he found was a name card from sc entertainment. he figured that this guy must be a trainee from sc, so he sent him to sc and got his home address from the company. before leaving, he had a little chat with a staff of the company (the same one who gave him the address), and found out that sc entertainment specially help people like him, which is why he is determined to audition for sc. 
he got along well with the other trainees in the company. the younger ones like to hangout with him because he pay for everything.

personality — she is vulnerable, soft-hearted and gets hurt easily. although it is easy to make her cry, she is normally talkative, friendly and open. she dont really care much about her image and is not afraid of other people judging her. she is also an appreciative girl, she appreciate what she have and what other people have done for her. despite the fact that she know how to be satisfied with whatever she have, she still work hard towards what she wants. once she start doing something, she wouldnt give up easily. she likes reading books and watching exciting movies in her free time.
hyeri is confident and intelligent ever since young. she have many experiences in different areas and have always been a top student in school. she is confident of herself and doesnt let other peoples opinion affect her determination to work. other than being mentally strong, she also have extremely good stamina and strength for a female. despite her being stronger than her unnies, she listen well to them, and all the unnies dote on her a lot too. she can also be very playful and adorable at times.
First meeting — after jae yeol was kicked out of yg, he found himself having lots of free time in the mornings since he doesnt have to train, therefore he started working morning shifts in a cafe. in the cafe, there is this bulletin board for their customers to leave little post-it notes. one day, while he was tidying up the table near the bulletin board, he happened to see a post-it note with a sad face (link).
he then turn the post-it note upside down and edit it to make it two smiley faces, adding in a quote at the bottom: " everyday may not be good, but there is something good in everyday. " (link) a few days later, hye ri, the owner of the sad face post-it note, came back for another meal and saw it turned into a happy face. she was touched and left another post-it to express her gratitude for making her feel better. this then turned into a post-it conversation between them two. 
they finally decided to meet up after some time and became real life friends.
(p.s hye ri goes to the cafe after all her schedules and jae yeol works in the morning, so they have never met before)

relationship/interactions — hyeri will be like the hyper cute little sister, and jae yeol will be the caring older brother. after he joined sc, he quit his job at the cafe but they still continued to meet up to have fun. they will visit each other oftenly, when they are free. when jae yeol visits girls day, he will bring along many delicious food. if possible, they will watch hyun bin (hye ri likes hyun bin)/tablo dramas together.
after his debut, they had lesser time to hang out with each other, but they would still make time for each other. for the ending thingy, if you decided to let them be engaged, i was thinking he can propose to her romantically using post-it notes. exmples are like how iu confessed to wooyoung in dream high, or eric nam's heaven's door hehe. 
Ending — engaged will be cool! dating is cool too! just staying as close friends is also cool! as long as it flows well with the story, i don't mind :D
