           Jaehyun has one tattoo on his arm, going arounf his bicep which is a quote from Winnie the Pooh regarding love ("You don't spell love. You feel it."). Currently, his hair is a dark brown and due to his bad eyesight, he wears glasses at the dorm and colored contacts when he's in public. He also has his right ear pierced.

                 Jaehyun's style is very versatile to the point that he can rock skinny jeans and muscle shirts and a classy suit.            He’s elegance and style in one person. Despite his perfection and insanity, he does consider his friends as family and will do anything to protect them.  He is fiercely loyal to those he loves. A flaw of his though is his near obsession with his looks. He carries a mirror on him all the time, just to adjust his hair when it gets slightly messy. 

                He may be a flower boy and have many girls practically bowing at his feet and thinking he is god or something, like any other person he still has his flaws and strengths. Jaehyun is a very laid-back type of person. He will keep his nose out of other people’s business but not because he is being kind but because he just doesn’t care. Nature is stronger than nurture. He is very self-centered and will always be thinking of what is best for himself, unless he decides to think about others which he rarely does. Not because he doesn’t want to, but because most of the time the thought just does not cross his mind. 

                   Being a stubborn boy, he will always try his best to think of his friends first whenever they are around, and even when they aren’t because he truly cares for them. He is very impulsive and will do whatever comes to mind before thinking about it. He is extremely funny and even though at times he is quiet he still knows how to have fun.

                Han Juhyeok and  Ryu Takami met in the year 1975 when Juhyeok was in Japan for business and Takami worked in a restaurant as a waitress.  They met in December of 1975. Juhyeok had brought his coworkers to the Otani Garden where  Takami worked. From the moment he saw the delicate waitress, he wanted to know more about her and spent the evening ordering more and more food that they were never going to eat just to talk to Takami and when she noticed his plan, she had slipped him her phone number and gave him the call me gesture. He did so after he got back his hotel that evening. They started dating in January of 1976, and they steadily dated for ten years before Juhyeok proposed in that same restaurnat where they met in October of 1986. A year later they were married and takami came to live with Juhyeok in Korea.
 
                In May of 1990, they receieved a gift. Jaehyun was born on May 23rd, 1990 as the first child. Almost like a four year anniversary gift for the couple, he came a healthy and happy baby. Always curious and crawling around, Jaehyun was meant for greater. At the age of three, Jaehyun became an older brother and that made him annoyed. He was no longer the star child of the family. He was jealous of  Juyeong and always made a point of torturing her. When he was 10, his parents moved to Tokyo for six years. While living in Japan, he went to music school and studied singing. At the age of 15, he sang at the school talent show with the song Creep and won first place in it.

               Before his parents moved back to Korea, he came back by himself first and he spent a year auditioning for companies finally getting into Cube Entertainment in the year 2010 at the age of 17.

Entertainment Background — 

               Jaehyun had entered the entertainment industry in 2007, when he was just 17. In 2007, he joined Cube Entertainement, training alongside former school friend, Lee Kikwang. They had both been preparing for their respective debuts when in 2009, Kikwang debuted as a solo artist under the name AJ (Ace Junior),  but soon enough, he was taken off the stage. Jaehyun was both sad and happy for his friend but he supported him nonetheless, all the while preparing for his own debut. In October of 2009, Kikwang had debuted as part of Beast and Jaehyun was left alone. Cube Entertainment didn't forget him and in November of 2009, Jaehyun made his own solo debut as J.AE. J.AE's frist song was Love Rain and he wowed audiences with his vocals. His comeback was the following year in October, almost a year after his debut. His comeback would  come at a time when there were girl groups promoting. Close to the end of October he made his comeback with With You.

                In April of 2011, Dispatch leaked pictures of Jaehyun on what supposedly looked like a date with an unknown girl. Cube confirmed that the girl was Kim Yura of Girl's Day, effectively throwing Jaehyun under the netizen wheels. Since Girl's Day was a relatively new group, the dating scandal between J.AE and Yura escalated viewership for Girl's Day since everyone wanted to see the girl that was involved in the scandal. However, in his case, the scandal was never resolved properly. It was as though all the attention had shifted from him to Yura.
 

                  He was okay with her getting the attention but the Girl's Day fan backlash and netizen backlash took a toll on his popularity and he was kicked out of Cube Entertainment in October of 2011, with his seven year contract terminated, a name drenched in hatred for dating the precious Miss Yura and a carreer that was over before it even began. For two years (2011 - 2013), he searched for a new company that will sign him with no luck. He met Kwon Haemi in a coffeeshop, where he was working between jobs. He told her about his situation and she decided to take him into SC Entertainment. Jaehyun dropped the J.AE stage name.  

                 In 2013, he joined SC Enterttainment and took on an entirely different concept. Haemi had told him when they met that he would have a chance at debuting with a boy band and he listened to her. He learned how to dance and improved on his singing.

           Kim Yura, or Ahyoung as those closest to her know her as, is the absolute embodiement of sunshine. Always happy, smiling or laughing, Yura  is the possibly the happiest person that you could ever meet. She's fun, lively and optimistic. The very first thing that one would notice about Yura is her smile. Her smile brightens the room and then her body. She's a y style with probably one the best bodies in kpop due to her skills with diets and making sure that she stays her y curvy self while eating all she wants. Yura is innocently perfect and that's one of her many charms.

{ "Ah! What?"- } However like every angelic being, Yura does have her negatives. She's very blunt with her words and doesn't think about what she says most of the time.  She loves her food and will get really mad if people will forcefully take that away from her. Her bluntness has broken many a heart and she knows it. She uses the iness that she exudes to get close and break hearts. Yura is a sweetheart with a wild side that, when unleashed, brings hell to everyone.

First meeting —

           Jaehyun met Yura backstage at Music Core, after his performance of With You, his comeback single. She had been watching his performance while Girl's Day was waiting backstage, seemingly very nervous. He gave her a word of advice. "Don't be nervous. You look amazing." She had gone on stage shortly after that with a blush on her cheeks. Jaehyun didn't even know her name and at the time, he thought that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen.

       Jaehyun saw  Yura again on Weekly Idol with him and Girl's Day. She had introduced herself as Yura, and Jaehyun was in love. As Hyungdon and Defconn asked Jaehyun who was his ideal type in Girl's Day, the girls were very attentive. Jaehyun blushed and laughed a bit before ducking his head and saying Yura. "Ah...my ideal type? Hmm...Yura. I like the y style~"

              Jaehyun asked Yura to date him in December of 2010. They were good friends at that point often going otu to get food with other people. It was a very natural move from friends to lovers, and Yura accepted his feelings, giving him that wide smile that he loved so much. They came out to their respective companies in January of 2011 but due to Girl's Day rising popularity, they could only date late in the evening or at their dorms. Minah, Sojin and Hyeri got really used to seeing Jaehyun around and they liked him as well, since whenever he came over to the Girl's Day dorm, he would bring a bouquet of roses for Yura and a box of chocolates for the other girls.

                The April scandal was the downfall to their relationship. As soon the pictures were leaked, Yura called him to the dorm and Jaehyun came over as usual, with flowers and a box of chocolates, however, as soon as he had walked in, she smacked the flowers away and told him to leave her alone. She didn't want her singing career to fail because of him. He wanted to comfort but his heart broke in pieces when she whipped off the couple ring he gave her for their 100 day anniversary in March. He had picked it up and simply put it in his pocket. "Are you sure you want me to go?"

            "..Yes." With that one yes, he walked out of her life, hoping to mend his broken heart. He watched Girl's Day shine from afar, loving her smile and everything about her. Even after he was dropped from Cube, his happiness in life came from seeing Yura shine like she was supposed to.

                Now, in 2014, with the upcoming debut of X.Press, Jaehyun is excited to make his comeback yet  again. He's been following Girl's Day since their break up and it makes him feel jealous seeing Yura and Hong Jong Hyun on We Got Married. She is supposed to be his. He hopes to win her back again, by showing off his new looks and how much he's changed since J.AE days. As soon as he will win her back, he will promise to be there for her. They would go out to cafes and simply date happily, with a second chance.
