Seohyun turned to look at the woman and then turned her gaze to the man before quickly turning her eyes back to the hands that were folded gently on her lap. She was nervous; probably the most nervous she’s been in her whole life. This was the King and Queen of the country after all –it was more than expected that she’d be nervous; she just never thought she would be this nervous. She could feel her legs and arms trembling and a shiver run down her spine as the powerful voice of the King boomed within the large room. There were only the four of them in the room (Excluding the servants and the butler) –Siwon, his parents and herself. “Do you really think it’s reasonable to marry someone of this status?” The King asked, his voice filled with a tint of anger at the end. Siwon didn’t reply, and simply nodded his head forward a bit before returning it to its original position. The Queen shook her head in disbelief before she ordered the maid to bring her a cup of tea to calm her nerves. The servant did what she was told, and within seconds, she was back with a hot cup of tea. Seohyun didn’t understand why he won’t just give her back her brother out of the goodness of his heart, and marry a girl that would be suitable for him –one that would make the Royal Family look better in terms of marrying a girl of a family with a good background. There were a few moments of silence before a woman rushed in through the doors. She politely nodded to the three royal members before taking a seat next to Siwon on the couch we were seated on.
“What is it that you’re here for, Chung Ae?” The Queen asked, her eyes now fixed on the woman who had entered a few seconds earlier.  The woman nodded her head before reaching in her bag and pulling out a few pictures. She placed the pieces of paper on the elegant coffee table, and nodded her head to the Queen once more as a token of respect.
“As you have asked, I have investigated more information on her.” She turned to look at Seohyun, and Seohyun’s head unnoticeably drooped a little knowing that they were talking about her. The Queen also turned her gaze to Seohyun before turning back to Chung Ae.
“And what is it that you’ve found out other than this information?” The Queen gestured to the proposal that lay on the table, her eyes still on Chung Ae. Chung Ae spread out the pictures she had placed on the table earlier, and handed on particular picture to the Queen. Seohyun took a look, and saw that the pictures were all of her and her best friend, Donghae. What were they doing there? Why would they take pictures of her and Donghae? “Who is this?” The Queen asked, a tinge of anger in her voice as she threw the picture back on the table. Before Seohyun could even open to answer, Chung Ae was already trailing away with her thoughts and ideas of what relationship she might’ve had with this man.
“His name is Lee Donghae,” She informed. “Third year of University –like Prince Siwon and Miss Seohyun—and that was basically all I could find about him. He’s an orphan, and has been working the past three years to pay for his school tuition as the government has stopped paying his tuition for him as he had reached legal age. Seems like the relationship between Miss Seohyun and this Donghae is not just as simple as friends.” Both of Siwon’s parents turned to look at Seohyun.
“He’s—“Before Seohyun could even start the second word of her sentence, Siwon interrupted.
“He’s her best friend; nothing more. They’ve been friends for over fifteen years, it’s only reasonable that they’re more than normal best friends.” The Queen shook her head in discontent and put her palm against her forehead.
“You have a headache again?” The king asked, concerned, as he put an arm around the Queen. The woman turned her eyes to Seohyun in almost a glare, and slowly shook her head once.
“If only Siwon could see the good things in other girls, and the bad things in this one.” The Queen mumbled as she got up to her feet. “Do what you want Siwon, but I’m telling you right now; this isn’t going to be easy. The media and the country might not like her, and in the end, it won’t only hurt the Royal Family, but her as well. Think it through well, and tell me if you still want to go through this marriage.” With that, the Queen stepped out of the room with the King assisting her right hand gently as they walked out the room. Once the door was shut, Siwon ordered the servants to leave. They did so, and Seohyun could feel her stomach churn a little at the thought of staying in the same room with Siwon with no one else around.
