{Preview} Chapter 02

“Stop here please.” Seohyun said as she stuffed the phone back into her pocket. The limousine came to a halt, and she bowed slightly before opening the door and stepping outside. She nodded slightly before closing the door, and stood for a moment as she watched the vehicle leave. Seohyun sighed; she really didn’t understand why Siwon had to choose her, and had to kidnap Mason away from her. It just didn’t make sense. Nothing seemed to make sense these days. In fact, it seemed as if her life had turned almost upside down ever since Mason was kidnapped. She went from being almost unnoticeable in school to the very person everyone was talking about these few days –the Prince’s fiancée, the prince’s girlfriend, the lucky commoner—all seemed to be nicknames that people called her these days. She had told the driver to stop at the subway station. Though she knew she had every right now to get the driver to drive her back home, but she found that it was much  more comfortable sitting in the subway with all the rest of the people –the normal people—than all by herself in a long car. She found it a horrible way to make pollution, and it simply just didn’t make sense to ride a limousine back to a small rundown apartment on the other side of the city. Seohyun ran her pass through the machine and just as she walked towards the place where she would usually wait for the train, it had come just as she had arrived and she stepped inside to find none other than Krystal herself –standing by herself near the corner at the end of the subway. “Krystal!” She yelled before heading towards where her friend was standing. Krystal’s hand was holding a pole for support as she texted away on her cell phone. Upon hearing her name, she looked up to find none other than her best friend.

“Hey!” She exclaimed happily as she finished off her text and threw her arms around Seohyun for a hug. “I thought you said you were going to be at the palace today?” She asked, her eyes anticipating Seohyun’s answer.

“I was.” Seohyun answered. She had told Krystal the previous night that she’d be at the palace –She figured it really wouldn’t matter considering Krystal wasn’t the person to spread any news. “He told me to go home.” At the sound of these words coming out of , she felt slightly ashamed (Or embarrassed) that she was ‘kicked out’ by the Prince of Korea. Krystal’s eyebrows furrowed, and she tilted her head slightly to the left when she heard Seohyun say this. Kicked out? Her friend, Seohyun, got kicked out? As far as she was concerned, she was probably the nicest person she’s met. How was such a thing possible? She opened to ask her why she was kicked out, but no words had come out once she opened it. She could see how ashamed Seohyun had looked from her eyes, and she realized there was no need to make her embarrassed any further. Closing , she put her phone away and offered to walk Seohyun home. Knowing it was probably an extra two blocks for Krystal to walk, she insisted that she walk home herself after she’s taken Krystal home.
