So, I knew that SHINee wouldn't be nominated for a MAMA this year, considering that all of their promotions this year were in Japan.

Except Taemin's.

How is it that people who came out with songs after Taemin are being nominated and he isn't? He should definitely be in the nominations for best solo performance, even if he doesn't win it! It would still be nice that he is at least there! I think he deserves at least that much recongition considering everything that he's done. It would be nice if he won, but as much as his solo debut was a success, I know that there were a lot of people who were against it, and weren't supportive enough of it. Even so, I would've hoped that he would have at least been nominated, and the fact that he wasn't was simply outrageous to me.

On a side note, I'm hoping that EXO wins nothing. And I'm not just saying that because of my current dislike for them (I don't hate the members of the group. I just don't like all of the problems that they've had. And before you go off on me about how it's SM's fault and not their's. No. I think both SM and the EXO members are equally at fault for the problems that they've had.). I'm saying that because in all of the categories that EXO was nominated in, I genuinely preferred performances by other groups. One of my biggest problems right now is choosing between VIXX and Block B. (my heart hurts but a decision must be made)

The thing that bothers me the most about EXO, is that most of the time, they aren't nominated because the song is good or anything like that. It's usually because of their popularity. It's sad to say that there are many people out there (and don't even deny this) that really don't listen to EXO because they actually only care about the music. To many people, all they see is a handsome face. Their voices are a bonus to them. Some of my friends only started listening to EXO because she thought they were attractive. I, on the otherhand, had no idea what they looked like until a few days after I heard their song Machine and liked it. I didn't even find SHINee attractive when I first started to listen to them!!!!!!! (I'm still ashamed of myself for that. Then again, I started listening to kpop in 2010. The first song I heard was Luficer. First I heard the song and I thought it was cool. Then my friend showed me the video and the only one I found moderately attractive was Taemin (I didn't know his name was Taemin at the time, and back then, I had a thing for guys with long hair. Now, I've realized that few men could pull off the long hair look). I didn't find them very attractive until I looked up older pictures of them (aka Ring Ding Dong and Juliette). 

I'm not saying that Taemin deserves to be on their more than EXO. That's not what I'm trying to say at all. I'm just saying that Taemin has as much right to be on their as EXO, or any other group/solo artist does.
