We all experenced Taemin's solo first hand. I couldn't imagine it any other way. He was basically a Korean Michael Jackson. Loved it SO Much!!

I'm sure if more SHINee members go solo it will be either Jonghyun or Onew. They have the talent, popularity, and stage presence to succeed. If one day I do get to see them promote alone whether it be a single or an album this is how I would imagine it.

Jonghyun

He has the voice of course but what sets him apart is his ability to compose and write songs. I know it's likely for him to have an "Ace" , "One Minute Back", or "Symptoms" track. The smooth R&B sound. But for the MV or Concept I'm imagining something like this:

He has K.Will written all over him. With his vocal range and tone he can totally pull it off. And his voice sounds better in more organic music. Whatever genre K.Will sings that's what he needs to debut with. If not K. Will then a duet like this:
