Her parents met on a stage production of Wicked, about three years before she was born and it was love at first sight. It's cheesy, but it was true. Her father, Hyunsuk admire the way Heyomi sang and he loved directing her on stage.  They dated for about one year after her father confessed and asked her out via bouquet of roses on openig night of Wicked. They got married in New York on January 15th, 1991.  Lee Soomin was born in New York City, New York on September 10th, 1992, to a pair of broadway stars. Her father was a broadway director and her mother was a broadway singer. From an early age, she was encouraged to do music and go into singing.

At the age of five years old, Soomin was put into music classes but she couldn't find the desire to sing, since only a mere month before her enrollment in the music school, her parents began fighting. When she was six years old, the divorce was finalized but at the time, she had no idea what it meant for her. Her father left for South Korea and she stayed with her now-single mother. Life was hard and the girl was pulled out of the school. The money that was saved from her schooling went towards her mother's newly developed alcoholic urges. Four years later, she was pulled out of her mother's care and sent to Seoul to live with her father. 

At ten years old, since she joined her father, she was once again sent to a music school and there, she flourished in music. At the age of fifteen, she auditioned for the first time for an entertainment company and she flourished in progresses as she faced countless rejections. She took more singing lessons and at the age of 17, she made it nto her first company as a trainee. She then moved companies twice, learning all she could from each one. At the age of 21, she made it to J.Tune and she stayed there.

Training period — 5 years:  2 years at Starship Entertainment, 2 years at JYP Entertainment and a year at J.Tune
TRAINee life — After she got into Starship, she was immediately put into vocal training alongside Hyorin and Soyu. She tried to reach the high notes like them, but her vocal wasn't strong enough and multiple times while at Starship, she suffered from laryngitis because in the evenings, she would practice so much that she killed her voice. Soon enough, her voice got stronger and she was able to hold a high note and compete with Soyu and Hyorin. However, she decided that for her sake, she would leave and soon enough, she moved to JYP. At JYP, she learned how to dance and rap and be charismatic which was something she never did at Starship. She also came head to head with Suzy who thought that she was not good enough for JYP. She dealt with her words for two years, before transferring to J.Tune. At J.Tune, she tackled singing and dancing and aimed to improve.

First meeting — 

They met for the first time on the street after a performance on M-Countdown. She was getting coffee, he was trying to get s together so they could go. As he was walking backwards, he ran into her, forcing her to spill her coffee all over her shirt with a scream. Turning around, he apologized profusely and asked if he could get her a coffee in return.

relationship/interactions —

Most often a duo who are complete opposites don't match up well, but Soomin and Jinyoung make their relationship work. They're not ideal but they're okay. Soomin takes her love of fashion and uses it to dress her boyfriend really stylishly and make him look even more like a character out of a manga. Jinyoung, on the other hand, teaches her more about music and teaches her how to play the guitar. Their relationship is serious and playful at the same time.

Not only that they share their life passions with each other, Jinyoung and Sumin also have a blast cooking delicious food together and often, the food doesn't end up looking like the recipe, but the belief that they cooked together is more important than the recipe makes their cooking experiences more fun. Of course, far from the ideal, they fight a lot about big things (like their relationship and their families), to little things like who left the lights on in the house.  It usually ends with Soomin in tears and Jinyoung feeling sorry. The fights never last longer than a day, because Jinyoung comes up with an apology and Soomin finds herself falling in love a little more. They're not typical but they do okay.

Ending — Hopefully going public with their relationship in a fun way. They did get some hate but then BANA  and the Omega fans support them after they see how much the duo love each other.
