How My Updates Work
So I just thought I better let you all know about how my updating happens because I've been way too slack, once a week is obviously not good enough right?
- My updates depend on my mood, if I don't have a feel for the current chapter, I'll just put it off completely.
- I do get around to writing everything, it just depends on my real life schedule and how determined I am.
- I have two weeks of holidays starting next week, so expect a lot from that.
- I start a whole bunch of stories just so that I can update something because there is a high possibility that I'll be motivated by at least one of them.
- The first 1000 words in each chapter are the hardest for me to write, the middle 1000 are slightly easier, but the last 1000 just flash by without a problem.
- All of my updates are over 3000 words, except for my drabbles.
- I proofread everything after I write it, so if I'm tired I go back in the morning and facepalm a bit before fixing things up.
- I generally start writing chapters and then distract myself after the first paragraph.
- I set myself deadlines to get updates done.
- I will never ever abandon a fic at all.
- Usually I write one whole chapter in a single shot, then post after editing so that you get the update straight away.
- I'm hopefully getting better with my updating speed, but I'll improve a lot when my exams finish for the year in November.
Hope this helps a bit with any curiosity over my lack of updates on certain fics, though I'll try my best to update more while balancing my school work!
