So TTS has finally made a comeback and they surprised me pleasantly with this amazing album, Holler. I don’t know about you but I love this album more than twinkle. I love twinkle but I was more impressed with this album.

1.) Holler

Holler sounds great but typical. It seems like a typical sm song but what had me smiling was the chorus. The chorus is catchy and fun and I liked the fact that the beat was heavy. If you’re looking for a catchy, head-bopping song, this is it.

2.) Adrenaline

Now Adrenaline is a different story altogether. When I first listened to it, I thought it wasn’t my style. (I like R and B.) I felt like this was one of those I Got A Boy songs that were messy and takes a couple of listens to get used to it. But when the chorus came on, I was surprised. This is similar to Holler in a way that it’s fun and catchy, but Adrenaline takes it a step further with its funky beats. Adrenaline gives you… well, adrenaline.

3.) Whisper

One of my favourite songs in the album simply because it’s so soulful. Taeyeon’s first two lines got me. I don’t know but I found her voice really y here. (Anyone with me?) I like that there’s a very firm beat, like in R and B songs. This song was responsible for two of my flashfics. It’s great writing material. And the lyrics is meaningful. Whisper is a complete package. If you like ballads, you’ll love Whisper.

4.) Stay

My favourite song in the album because it’s very upbeat and it lifts your spirits greatly. I love the chorus of the song. It’s catchy and it remains in your head for a long time. What I absolutely love about the song is 1.) Tiffany’s rap (don’t judge me) She has a very cute rap here that makes me smile. 2.) The bridge. The song doesn’t get boring because the song transits into a bridge that has a bit of dubstep and then it goes back to the chorus. It’s an absolutely fun song. I absolutely love the lyrics as well. It’s also responsible for one of my oneshots.

5.) Only U

The highlight of this song would probably be the lyrics because Seohyun wrote it haha This is a ballad and it’s similar to Whisper. Their combined voices in the chorus gets me every time. Tiffany’s Only for U~ line is absolutely heart-wrenching. The piano accompaniment in the verses is very fitting. The song’s lyrics are very fitting to the genre of the song. The bridge, starting from the ‘tell me now’ line is my favourite. Then you have their power vocals and ad libs near the end. I love that all three of them are able to shine equally in this song.

6.) EYES

EYES takes a little getting used to. I love the verses. Taeyeon’s ‘oh come on baby’ is pure addictive. The verses are perfect but the song later transits to the chorus where there is a heavy use of sounds that sounds similar to vuvuzelas. (This element is similar to f(x)’s Step in Pink Tape.) It may sound noisy at first but you’ll get used to it soon. I liked that this song still sounded neat despite all the layers of sounds.

Overall, I would say Holler gives off a more mature vibe compared to Twinkle. I would rate it an 8 out of 10. This album has been on repeat for days! In other words, I love this album.
