- Cantonese and // native : Born in a Cantonese province, Naiyu was born speaking in a Cantonese dialect. Her Mandarin dialect came later on in her life and although she speaks more Mandarin than Cantonese, she still has her mother language in her.
- Mandarin // native : Once she moved to Taiwan, she became accustom to the dialect and adopted it as her everyday language. Since she mainly promoted in Taiwan, she spoke much more Mandarin. Her dialect would change depending where she's at.
- Korean // semi-fluent : Training in Korea for 3 year really teaches one to learn the language. She's not incredible fluent yet but she's gettin' there. However since she hasn't perfected the language yet, sometimes she will become a stuttering mess and just give up and speak gibberish while flailing her hands in the air and walk away. Training helped but she still has her asdfghjkl moments.
PERSONALITY:
Naiyu is outgoing, straight shooting type. Enthusiastic and excitable, she's a "doer" who lives in the world of action. Blunt and a straight-forward risk taker, she is willing to plunge right into things and get her hands dirty. Naiyu lives in the here-and-now, places little importance on interjection. She looks at the facts of a situation, quickly decides what should be done, execute the action, and move on to the next thing. She has an uncanny ability to perceive people's attitudes and motivations. She picks up on little cues which go completely unnoticed by most people such as facial expressions and stance. She's typically a couple steps ahead of a person she's interacting with. Naiyu uses this ability to get what she wants out of any situation. If she had decided that something needs to be done, then her "do it and get on with it" attitude takes over the rules. She has a strong flair for style and quality. She's fast-moving, fast-talking and has an appreciation for the finer things in life. Naiyu is excellent at telling stories and improvising, typically making things up as she goes. She loves to have fun and is a fun person to be around.
She is definitely guilty of looking at her reflection when passing a window. Always reapplying her lipstick, Naiyu is always enhancing her face. If you were to ask her who the prettiest member in the group was, she would say her name in less than a heartbeat. She wouldn't go up to her members and be like "Goodness don't I just look smokin' hot today?" No. Maybe in her head she's shooting hardcore compliments at herself but she would never publicly announce how y she finds herself. She can sometimes be hurtful to others without being aware of it, as she generally do not know and may not care about the effect of her words on others. It's not that she doesn't care about people, it's that her decision-making process does not involve taking people's feeling into account. At times she will not consider of others' emotion. stress is something she has difficulty dealing with. She's always clear-minded and frivolous so anxiety and stress doesn't hit her, but when it does it hits her hard. When she is under immense stress she has zero-tolerance for bull and crybabies. "You either it up or leave." If you are crying or undergoing some emotional distress, Liang Naiyu is the last person you should turn to. Ever. BACKGROUND:
Like many people, Naiyu wanted to become something big. She wanted people to look at her and say "I would love to be her, even if it's just a day." Ever since she was a child, she always wanted to become famous. Whether it was performing or acting, Naiyu was very well-rounded. She began participating in school performances like plays and talent shows. She had a natural talent of dancing. Even at a young age, her style of dancing was more hip-hop; which was strange especially for a young Chinese girl. When she was 8, her family moved to Taiwan where her some of her distant relatives lived. There she began to do some street performances with her street performing cousins. With them she was able to gain more confidence in herself thus her charismatic stage presence was created. When she was 9, she joined a broadcasted talent competition in Taiwan. Because she was so young and had such a remarkable talent in pop and crump dancing, she passed many rounds but didn't win the competition. However she snagged a place in HIM Ent where she filmed her first ever soymilk commercial, gaining her the Soymilk nickname she has now. Training under the company, she frequently starred in the music videos of her label mates, mainly Fahrenheit, and did more advertisement but nothing that really appealed to her dancing passion. The company gave her acting opportunities as a way to advertise her name more to prepare her for her official debut. When she hit her pre-teens, she began acting in dramas under the name "Lanie" instead of Liang Naiyu however she still maintained her Soymilk/Doujiang title. Since he was the youngest of the group, Aaron and Naiyu often worked together. Because of this they grew very close. They were like the Britney and Justin of the time. Often playing his love interest in the music videos, they were the most shipped pairing during the time but they were just very close friends. In 2009, she filmed her fir drama alongside Aaron called Love Buffet. After the drama ended, she did her contract with HIM Ent. 8 years in the company and she hasn't even debuted in a girl group of even get the chance of perform. It was a peaceful settlement. As Aaron continued his acting career, Naiyu went to go pursuit her dream in Korea under SM Ent. in 2010. Once fans heard that their Doujiang left to pursuit her career in Korea, they sent love and support hoping that SM would achieve her potentials that HIM didn't fulfill.
Throughout her road of stardom, her family have been extremely supportive of her. She didn't suffer any traumatic of dramatic sob story. Yes she went through some ups and downs but they never stopped her from becoming an idol. Since she doesn't have any siblings, she is especially close to her cousins. Her parents invested much of their time and money just to make her dreams possible and because of that Naiyu is especially grateful of them. Her cousins have motivated her and literally were the ones that made her fame possible. If they hadn't invited her to join their street performances, she would have never been discovered. They're not bitter of Naiyu because she got lucky, instead they are proud.

PERSONALITY: Yixing, at first glance, can be mistaken by shy. He does tend to be a bit quiet during the first meeting, but as soon as he gets to know someone he never shuts up. He really is pretty playful, always bright smiles and laughter. He has a pretty big heart and though he can be a bit of a sassbot at times, he does his best to look out for everyone's happiness. Once he's comfortable with someone, he still tends to keep most of his thoughts to himself. Yixing tends to be a very reserved person, though he may say a lot not all of it may be really meaningful. He's a big teddy bear on the inside and takes everything to heart.
HOW YOU MET: It's not everyday a Chinese trainee gets put in the system. Always eager to meet new Chinese trainees, Yixing met Lanie when he saw a new face in his dance class. Call it Chinese Intuition but on the spot he knew she was Chinese because:
1.) She didn't look Chinese
2.) SM is strictly Chinese or Korean
After class ended, he walked up to her and she tied her shoe and said "Chinese?" in Mandarin. She stood up and looked at him with a straight face and said "Pardon?" in perfect English. That smile on his face became a dumb, shameful look. He awkwardly chuckled and said "sori mai mesteak" then walked away. She laughed then followed him, "Wow, your English is horrible." in Mandarin. Yixing looked at her, relieved. "Hi, my name is Liang Naiyu but call me Lanie." and that's how it began. After training for several hours, Lay would take her to his favorite spot in Seoul. They'd go to this playground up on a hill that stands just above the Seoul city light. Because Seoul looks much more prettier at night, they would go at 9 PM or later. At the small part would be an old but sturdy table with a journal on it for couples to write down their experiences. Since not many people knew of the park, only a small handful since it was a very isolated area, the notebook is quite empty. Every tie they came, they would date and write in it. What began as an innocent friendship between the two turns into a sweet romance that either of them want to end.
Since he debuted in EXO, it was very difficult to try to meet up since they are a huge deal. Yixing was always so busy but he make sure to send her bouquets or sweet yet subtle things to let her know that he still thinks about her. Whether it's a sweet but funny text or a derpy selca, Yixing still keeps in touch with her.
INTERACTIONS: When Lay and Lanie are together, they naturally act like a bunch of immature school kids. Always laughing and picking fun at each other BUT you don't know what they're saying because they're speaking Mandarin. Yixing usually keeps to himself, if not being a sassbot, but when he's with Lanie they're unpredictable. Constantly on a competition of embarrassing each other, they always do things to embarrass the other. Whether it is loudly cheering the other on or exposing an embarrassing event, Lanie and Lay are consistently playing games with each other.They have this thing where Lay is Lanie's mistress (yes mistress) and Lanie is his sugamama since she used to be an actress. Always bickering and laughing at each other with threats like "I'll rub mint leafs all over your face." "And I'll cut you." these two will never stop. However their main threat is "DON'T MAKE ME PLAY YOUR OLD VIDEOS" since both were child actor/actress.
It's been 4 years since they've known each other. He's well aware of her close friendship with Aaron and although he knows it's completely platonic, he can't help but feel envious towards what they have. Yixing really tries to push away his jealousy and need to be the better best friend, but he can't help but feel like he's being beaten, even if Aaron is 2459409542985 miles away. Since she can easily read people, she knows of Yixing feelings. Afraid of rejection, he waits patiently for the time that Yixing casually proposes the idea of dating.
