style ;; Sanghyun goes with simple outfits such as matching up a plain white shirt with jackets and stuffs. Though those outfits are simple ones, his style always shows up his charm in a casual way. Sanghyun loves putting on his favourite headphones and therefore you can see him with his headphones almost all the time.

traits ;; quite easy-going in their first meetings, rarely shows his real emotions and tend to be mature in everything, always smile in front of others in order to be the positive one in hard times (though at times he has to fake them for others' sake), secretly having a slightly low self esteem inside, seems to be the most calm and sometimes looks like the 'eomma' of the team as he takes care of the other members.

During the first meeting of the members, Sanghyun appear to be quite easy-going and he seems to be in a relaxed manner among the six members of Team B. Since he had already been a trainee in Pledis Ent. for 5 years already, he knew well of how to deal with new members of the group and so that could be the reason why he may appear as the most mature among the six.

However, this boy actually has a slightly low self esteem deep inside (that may be figured out by the other members later in the story). This might be because while the two years he tried to build up his confidence, he was not being able to really accept the fact that he could not sing as how he used before. What even since Sanghyun saw the the other members auditioned for the team before and he saw their amazing talents before his eyes, he felt worst.

Sanghyun rarely shows his real emotion because he does not like people judging how he feels. Most of the time he would just be the positive, calm Sanghyun he can be for the group. Sanghyun had a high patience, but the members better not make him angry. If one day Sanghyun would burst in anger, no one better be near him as the boy might explode.

While being the most mature among the members, Sanghyun is always being said as the mother or 'eomma' of the group. He is the one that listens to others very well and he gets to adapt to the new environment rather quickly; thus helping the rest of the group to feel better. He takes care of the others most of the time and prefer to put others before himself.

past ;; Sanghyun is the only son in the family of the Kims with an elder sister and a younger sister living with his parents. Being the only son, his mother is the closest to him and supports him in everything he wanted to do since he was young. Sanghyun's mother was the one who encouraged Sanghyun to audition for NU'EST before and even while the two years Sanghyun had his hard time, his mother was the one that kept his only son from giving his dream up. 

However, in contrary to the support he got from his mother, Sanghyun's father opposed his wish to be a singer. Since his father is a lecturer in the field on Biological Sciences, he really take matters of his children's education. To his father, being a singer was not a good idea at all and so he never allowed his son to pursue for his dream. It was only because of his mother's attempt to persuade his father that Sanghyun got the chance to participate in the audition for NU'EST, but it was with one condition; which was that if the group fails, or maybe if Sanghyun fails, the latter would never to join any singing competitions or anything related to it ever again.

During his childhood years, Sanghyun was a boy that became everyone's favourite boy. He was the sweet, adorable and talkative little boy that managed to capture everyone's heart. Being a hyper person he was, he managed to bring smile and laughter to everyone that came around him. He always thought everything in a positive way and that eventually helped him through all the problems that came in his way.

However, this boy was not a good student as how his other siblings were. When he first realised his interest in music, he had his father opposing him from the start. He brainstormed for every other way to convince his father that he could do better in music rather than in his studies but that turned out to had worsen the situation. While he talked to his father about it, Sanghyun's father became angrier and starting from that moment, his father strongly opposed his intention in pursuing in the field of music. Only his mother supported him all the way through and because of that, he kept attending music classes behind his father's back.

It was then when Sanghyun got into a car accident with one of his highschool friend, Sanghyun lost everything. He went into a coma for a month but then he managed to survive after that. However it was just the beginning as the situation got worse that how it was, right after Sanghyun gain his consciousness. The doctors told him that he got an injury at his vocal chord and he might not being able sing ever again. It was as if the world had fallen apart for Sanghyun and for a few months, Sanghyun could do nothing but locking himself up in his room. From being a hyper and talkative boy to being a completely opposite one, Sanghyun became a quiet and depressed person for quite a long period of time. Eventually his debuting days were over and Sanghyun could only watch his fellow ex members from NU'EST debuting from afar.

Seeing his only son being torn apart like that, Sanghyun's mother talked to him about giving himself another chance and tried again. Sanghyun refused at first but not long after, he realised that nothing could be better if he stayed being negative like that. The boy took almost a year to finally got himself out of the depression and became a better person. Therefore, without his father knowing it, Sanghyun signed himself up in a vocal class in his area and forced himself to start singing again. Though he could not sing as how he used to be, Sanghyun managed to sing again and he remained being a trainee in Pledis Ent. After seeing Sanghyun's progress, the CEO decided to give him another chance by offering him to join Pandemonium: The Battle! as one of the contestants of the competition.

Without even thinking about it, Sanghyun accepted the offer and eventually became the lead vocalist of Team B. However his injury sometimes made it hard for him to endure the training years he had with the fellow members of Team B and what was even worse was that Sanghyun's father knew about the audition and made a fuss about it in the company (you may include more of this scene maybe later in the story ^^). Sanghyun faced several problems regarding his singing ability that could cause some problems to the group later on (in which you might have to develop later on in the plot hehe). Sanghyun tried to remain calm despite of all the problems he faced while he was with the team and he tried his best to win the battle with his team.
