Writers and Readers (stolen from Korekrypta)

State your fanfiction pen name - LuAnn98

Are you more of a reader or a writer? - A reader. Definitely a reader. I have bookshelves filled with novels in my own room, and also an account with reading lists on Fanfiction.net, Wattpad, and on Asianfanfics. I read a lot whenever I find time. Writing comes second, but I love doing it, too.

When did you first start reading or writing fanfiction? I've been reading fanfiction on and off for a while (since I'm not just centered around kpop), but I started writing them this summer. My first fic actually.

What's the first fanfiction you ever read or wrote? What is it about? First fanfiction I read was on fanfiction.net right after I finished Mockingjay. I was unhappy with the ending so I wanted to find some closure for myself, and ending up getting in. As for AFF specifically, my first read on here was Wanderlust. First fic I started writing was Mistaken for a Boy.

What ratings do you read/write? I've read all ratings. Honestly, if the is too detailed or something, I just skip it. I don't think rating determines whether or not a story is good anyways. As for writing, I stick to rated T (PG-13), but I'm the kind of person who likes to throw some in once in a while. And swear words here and there.

What was your first fandom? Hands down, The Hunger Games fandom (is there a name for this?). I was hooked for a loooong time. Then I got into One Direction and well...yeah. But nowadays, it's mostly Exo for me.

List all the fandoms you have read or written in. - Writing wise- Exo. I don't really write fanfics much to begin with lol. And reading wise- THG, One Direction, Percy Jackson, Exo.

What is your favorite fandom to write or read about? Exo

Any fandom you would like to write in? Uh, currently happy with Exo. Although if SM Rookie Taeyong makes it big, you can bet I'll write about him. Total babe.

What was your first ship? I'm not really a shipper? Or at least I wasn't, until sweet_Bun_ decided to give me a bunch of recommendations and then BOOM! you have a Hunhan shipper.

List all the pairings you have read or written in. Haven't written any. But as for reading...Hunhan, Kaisoo, and Baekyeol. Haven't gotten to Taoris.

What is your favorite pairing to read or write about? Hunhan. Especially top!Sehun.

Is there any pairing you refuse to read or write about? I don't think I'll ever write a pairing. And for some reason, I cannot stand Taoris. It's weird.

What is your favorite genre? Romance, comedy, fluff, action, fantasy, dystopia, and drama. I'm not a big fan of angst (and even if my stories have angst, I'm a er for happy endings).

What is your least favorite genre? Tragedy, angst. Pwp (why did I even mention this).

Any genre you would like to read/write for? I want to write an OT12 fantasy fic so badly, omg.

List all your favorite authors. Book-wise, I have many, many favorite authors. Rick Riordan's works never fail to make me happy. But if we're talking about AFF, I don't have any specific authors that I favoritize. If I like one of their stories, I'll check out their other fics. It's that simple.

Which writers inspires your own work? Myself? Lol, I'm all over the place, so there's not really a specific source of inspiration. I plan to write in as many genres as I can and as randomly as possible before I stop writing here altogether.

What story has the most impact to you, so much that you remember it all the time? From Wattpad, Late Summer Rain (the first and the last story that ever made me cry like a baby. I have no words to describe it), All I've Never Wanted, and In 27 Days. From AFF, probably Wanderlust (it was the first story I read here, so it holds a special place in my heart) and Stranger (a Hunhan fic that I simply can't get over). But to be honest, a lot of stories have made an impact on me, and I can't list them all.

What is the website you use most to read or write fanfiction? AFF, as for right now.

Any certain things you avoid reading or writing about? Character death, tragedy, heavy angst (if you catch my drift, I lean more on the happy spectrum of fics), pointless , and horrible grammar. Mary-Sue characters bug me so if your OC is so perfect she poops rainbows, I have no words.

What do you enjoy best about fanfiction in general? The obvious one is just to simply see my bias' name as a character. Other than that, I really appreciate the fact that people are willing to spend their precious time writing for their readers even while they have lives outside of AFF. Authors don't get paid, but they write because they want to and because they love their characters, which is something I truly respect. Fanfiction is almost like a community of people with common interests.

Does the number of reviews tell how good a story is? Oh no, of course not. I once read a fic here because my friend kept telling me how amazing and beautiful it was, and when I read it, I hated it. Like, absolutely hated it. So, case in point, everybody has different tastes and reviews don't determine anything.

How long should a chapter be? Depends. I aim for 3000-4000 whenever I can, although brain dead moments happen and I end up writing closer to 2000. Then once in a while I'll write 5000.

Have you ever flamed someone? Once, but I had a valid reason.

Have you ever been flamed? No

Do you do roleplay online? No

WRITERS ONLY:

How many published fanfictions have you written? Three, with one complete.

Which one of your fanfictions has the most words, upvotes, subscribers, comments, etc.? Mistaken for a Boy. I haven't even started on my other projects lol.

At the moment, which one of your fanfictions is your favorite or your most proud of (you can include unpublished fanfictions)? I'm not really proud of my writing lol, but if we're talking unpublished fics, then the ideas I have for Mistaken for a Girl (once I actually write it) will probably make it my favorite.

Out of all the characters you have written, which one do you feel you identify the most with? Sungmi, I'd have to say. Like her, I'm pretty insecure, I like to eat, I sit at home all day watching dramas, and I'm hopelessly in love with Kai (and everybody else in Exo).

Do you use a beta-reader? No

What warnings have you used on your stories? "Beware of awkwardness and fluffiness" haha.

What makes you happy the most as a writer? Putting a scene in my head into words. Writing a kiss scene. Writing fluff. Making my characters my own. Reading readers' feedback. Etc.

Have you ever stolen something from another person's work? Inspiration? Yes. Other than that, plagiarizing is stupid.

What do you feel is your biggeset challenge when writing? Making sure that there are no plotholes, and that the story will not get boring.

Do you have a certain ritual to do before or after you write? I write in complete silence. No music, nothing. I feel like the tapping noise of my keyboard keys is comforting. After writing, I go to sleep.

Do you actively advertise your story or request for reviews or upvotes? I ask for reviews, but that's about it.

Would you ever want a trailer for a fanfiction you've written to be made? No, I don't think so. It's cool but...I'm easily disappointed in things like that.
