If she's just sitting around at home or in work you can't expect her to dress up, but with being a trainee she's trying to be better about what she wears. She really wants to look her best and loves to dress up, but sometimes the laziness and comfort takes over and there is nothing she can do about it. No matter what she might be wearing you will always see her with a bow in her hair and rings on her fingers.

personality: Optimistic/Creative/Modest/Childish       She is a completely friendly person- like saying hi to random strangers on the street friendly, but at the same time she is nothing less than modest. Even if she knows her talents and her strengths, she would rather build others up than glorify herself. She's even a little embarassed by her abilities, and doesn't show them off. She is also very childish, her heads always stuck in the clouds, dreaming of the future. She is a child at heart and loves being around children, but sometimes this could be a bad thing due to her sense of innocence. She's a very creative, imaginative person as well, often making up different character and personalities. This is probably why she's so good with kids. Infact, her time back in the states included her being a summer camp counselor where she took care of young girls as well as teaching chorus, drama (theatre), and drawing. Since she's American, and of heavy American influence, she forgets formalities most of the time, but she loves calling people with terms of endearment such as "darling, sweetheart, doll, dearest, sweetie" 

interaction: Sophia is an extremely friendly person so she will generally be very kind to her fellow trainees. She loves making friends so she'd most likely start up random conversations with people. Although if someone is rude to her she could either go one of two ways: a) avoid said rude person or b) try to be overly nice to them. I'm sure she would make a couple really good friends and gravitate towards them, but at the same time, she's not going to only be with them exclusively. I see her most likely making friends with the younger trainees and wanting to be in an older-sibiling like position to them, and watch over them.

She tends to keep any emotion other than happy bundled up inside her, so she can easily become an emotional wreck once provoked.

background: Sophia is a total American, born and raised. Her mother is Caucasian and her father is Korean. Born in San Fransisco, California, but moved to Dallas for her father's work. She grew up volunteering and helping out at the school with her mother, playing with the kids and stuff. Her sister and her used to be close when she was little, but grew appart when they moved to grow up and pursue her love of writing. She didn't want the sort of stunted relationship that grew as her sister did and she became rather attatched to her brother, wanting to be the best big sister she could be. Growing up her brother was her best friend, and she wanted the best for him more than anything. She was sort of the average kid in school; good grades, normal extra curriculars, just normal. Nothing super big or special about her. That's why everyone was so shocked hearing the average girl going to audition for a big fancy entertainment company in Korea. They all thought it was a joke. She took it head on- almost as a challenge- to show them who she really was and that she could make it into a big fancy entertainment company.

Plus she's so chill and laid back that she's easy to get along with, but with the perfect ammount of dorkiness to keep things interesting | Since Sophia's Korean isn't the best, she often struggles speaking it on an everyday basis. Since Amber was the same way when she came to SM, she was able to be a relatable source and helped her communicate and get comfortable with the company. She also takes her to the English speaking k-idol hangouts that we all know happens.

Cho Kyuhyun | 26 | Member of SJ | teasing/pestering/clever/unconditionally talented | 4 | He treats her as she treats her brother so it's kinda a familiarity reason that she sticks with him. | He came by one day to tease and pester Henry when he found her as his next prey. What started out as a normal tease turned out to be kinda a relationship in which he likes to stay by her and while also protecting her. It's kind of a weird combination, but maybe he sees a little bit of himself in her.

Lee Donghae Age 28 

personality: Childish/flirt/charismatic/dorky  This dorkfest is the whole package, a great singer, an amazing dancer, super attractive, and a total lame-o. He knows he's hot and likes to show it off, the fan-service a little out of control with this guy- but at the same time, he's such a childish dork that it makes up for it. In addition to his out of this world dance skills, he's super sweet and down to earth, always caring about his other members and wanting the best for them. Plus his love and devotion to his father- he can get serious and it's absolutely touching.

how you met: One day she was wandering around SM looking for the restroom after practice and she bumped into Donghae. Due to her size and his... personality, he thought she was a little girl who got lost in the building. He then proceeded to wander around the building holding her hand trying to help her find her parents. When she told him that he was not lost and was actually a trainee, he was a bit embarassed.

interaction: Donghae loves to watch over her shoulder and play an older brother role in her life. But silly Donghae doesn't even notice how head over heels she is for him. And he also doesn't notice that he doesn't care for her the way an older brother does. While Donghae is a playful dork with her, she get's nervous when he smiles warmly towards her in the hallway or tackles her from behind. He basically unintenionally flirts with her constantly, but he's completely unaware that he is. (or is he??) TL;DR Basically they started out friends and she fell hard while dumby Hae remains completely oblivious.

provenance:  She auditioned out of a "why the heck not" outlook on it. She knew she had an extreme talent in singing, although she had never shown it to the public before. (She is a closet talent- belts out songs when home alone, belts in the shower, belts in the car, etc.)  When the word got out that she was going to fly back to California for the auditions, everone mocked her. Nobody knew she had any singing ability and thought she was a lost cause and a waste of SM's cause. Not only about her "lack of talent", but how her height didn't match the Korean Idol standard of beauty. She overlooked them and continued to follow her dream, even though she knew there was a sly chance that she would get in. Her brother, the only person who knew of this hidden talent, supported her through the whole journey. He flew to LA with her, reassuring her that she would blow the judges away. And she did. They, as well as the other contestants in the room, were speechless that such a powerhouse of a voice come out of a petite girl. They asked her to sing again. And then she left the studio, thinking she wasn't what they wanted. That she didn't meet any of the standards that an idol should have-- and then she got a call back.

how long has she been a trainee: 3 years

regime: Sophia is always enthusiastic during training and friendly towards everyone. Although some trainees and SM employees believe that she's a nothing and are confused how she's even there,  they have never seen her perform nor know how powerfully she can sing. They think she's just nice and naiive. But she is genuinely excited to be where she is and do what she is doing and loves every second of it. Her modesty does not limit her ability, but she doesn't shy away from boasting her happiness.  When training, she gets serious without loosing her spark, but she still doesn't try to show off when neccessary. This makes her look like she isn't trying as much, but since she's not used to performing in front of crouds and people in general she's still trying to get used to the idea. She really wants to get better in that aspect, and wants to improve vocally so she can make even more of an impression when she debuts since everyone seems to doubt her. 

why did you want to get into the project group?: The project group is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Sophia. She's always wanted to work doing something she loves and there's no better fit for her. Becoming a member of this group would change her life forever in the best way possible. It would also help build her confidence and increase her performance. She also wants to become a big fancy hot-shot for the sake of her brother, who also aspires to be in the music industry one day. She wants to inspire him as well as any other younger generations to follow their dreams like she is and to not let anyone tell you otherwise.

So I took the plot of "The Lucky One" and twisted it to be a little different than I thought was probably expected, but it fits!

since she technically sang two songs at her audition- the first one was the official audition clip and this is the second one just because it's so freaking cute and I love Disney so :P Gotta get that High School Musical and Beauty and the Beast in there.
