"How are you so nonchalant about this?" - no matter what situation yiseul is in, she's very composed and nonchalant. you could literally tell her that she won a million dollars and she wouldn't even cheer for herself or even react. she's the type to just grab the money and walk away. for yiseul, she doesn't like to express herself that much. she's one to hold on to her feelings and conceal them from other people. as the founder of apoca x lips, she has to be rational about things and think everything through. knowing yiseul, she has to have control of everything. she absolutely hates it when things go into chaos; not only does it give her a ton more of stress, but it's tiring on her body. when it comes to work and everything in her life, she plans out everything and takes into account what is necessary and what needs to be done. you can always expect yiseul to have a back up plan or something else up her sleeve. whatever kind of situation she's in, she's always calm and relaxed; nothing really fazes her. she doesn't get scared easily and keeps a leveled head most of the time.

"We don't have time for this." - even though yiseul is very composed, she is still a human being and even she gets annoyed, especially when it comes to cho saera. she absolutely hates it when people are not on time or take a while to do something. for yiseul, time is money. it is reasonable to write an article in two hours, but to take six hours tells yiseul that someone was procrastinating and taking their time. yiseul knows how society works, they are everything fast and there for them; they don't like to wait and neither does yiseul. yiseul isn't willing to wait for someone. they either have to be there or not. whenever someone is late, coming into work, you bet your booty that yiseul will give them a scolding. knowing yiseul, she'll literally them the person all the mistakes they did; as you can see, yiseul's not the type to sugarcoat things. she's very honest and doesn't lie to people. if they did a mistake, you bet yiseul will tell them to do it again and fix what they did wrong. she won't pat you on the head and give you a lollipop for your mistake; tough love is what you're going to get from yiseul.

background — born and raised in incheon, south korea, life for young yiseul was quite gloomy. since she came from a more affluent family that specialized in business and law, she and her older brother were always left home by themselves. even though they were from a wealthy family, yiseul's family didn't find any use in hiring maids and servants to help out so yiseul and jiseul were always taking care of themselves; although, it was always yiseul who was taking care of her and jiseul. since yiseul and her older brother were the only ones in the house, they grew very close to each other. in yiseul's eyes, jiseul was her savior; someone who loved her with his whole heart and would always be there to save her from the "evil demons living in her closet".

although, jiseul made her life full of sunshine, the only thing that kept her from being completely happy was school. even though yiseul was gifted with book smarts, she wasn't the greatest person when it came to socializing. apparently, she scared many of the other kids or was teased by some of the older kids for looking like the girl from "The Ring" due to her untamed mane that her brother never bothered to cut. although, the only friend she really made was a tall tomboy named cho saera. after meeting each other on the playground and fighting off her bullies who , yiseul and saera got very close to each other and have been inseparable.

after highschool, yiseul decided to go to a well-known university in incheon, majoring in journalism with a minor in politics. unlike her parents and older brother, yiseul didn't want to go into business; it just wasn't her calling. after four years of hard work and many internships that she signed up for, she was offered being a journalist for Dispatch News. all she really had to do was dig up dirt on celebrities and help edit articles for her boss.

lifestyle — for her current living conditions, she lives in seoul in a two bedroom apartment with her beloved dog named "Gyu". ever since she graduated university in 2013, she's been working as a journalist for Dispatch News. ocassionally, she'll visit incheon to visit her family and saera; although, it seems that saera mostly stays at her house so she just visits the flower shop saera's mom owns.

personality — when you first met minho, you would think that he's this sauve man who charms the ladies with just one glance, but he's a hothead who doesn't know when to quit. when it comes to work, minho is really dedicated to his work. not only is he dedicated, he's very competitive and hates it when people solve a case faster than him. to minho, "with every case he solves, the closer he gets to becoming the world's most genius detective". even though minho seems all smooth and charming with his sly smirk, that is all a facade. he only pretends to be cool in order to look good in front of other people. he can't let other people know that on the inside, jo minho is a childish hothead who hates it when things don't go his way. call him spoiled or whatever, jo minho gets what he wants no matter what, even if he has to use force. minho may seem like a complete fool once you met him, but he means well. to minho, he wants justice and believes that people should know the truth and not lies created by attention-seeking new agencies. even though he may be a little too serious on the job, when he's out of work, he's quite affectionate with people and believes that skinship is the way to go.

how they met — on one of the days minho was investigating the "apoca x lips" case he developed, he decided to visit a new cafe that many of his coworkers recommended. while walking inside the cute little cafe, minho had accidently bumped into yiseul, slipping some of her coffee on her notes and work documents. seeing as some of them fell to the ground, minho started to pick up some of the papers, apologizing to yiseul, telling that he didn't mean to do that. after helping yiseul out, minho asked yiseul if she wanted a new cup of coffee since he spilled all of her coffee on her papers. even though she didn't want to say yes, she couldn't say no to a handsome man like jo minho (someone like him could have some connections). while sitting at one of the tables of her brother's cafe, yiseul chatted with minho. after an hour, they left, but not before giving each others' phone numbers.

interactions — whenever they're together, you can always find them flirting with each other (too bad, you're flirting with your enemy minho!). after meeting each other in her brother's cafe, they've been constantly texting each other, telling each other lame corny puns and weird meme pictures. even though yiseul's pretty nonchalant about everything, she can't help but give a slight smile whenever she sees a text message from minho. even though she thought he was a complete idiot for spilling her coffee on her at first, after talking to him and getting to know him, she discovered that he's actually not that bad. even though they are complete opposites, yiseul and minho became very close with each other. when no one's watching, yiseul and minho like to wink at each other as a inside joke. although minho may be a little overwhelming with his affectionate ways, yiseul can't seem to get annoyed with him. to yiseul, he's this lovable hothead who has stolen her heart.

love story — while investigating his developing "apoca x lips" case, minho finds many similarities between yiseul's articles for dispatch news and the some of the apoca x lips articles. as minho continues to hang out with yiseul, he gets more and more curious about the journal that she carries with her all the day. on one random day when they were hanging out, minho let his curiousity get to him and he looked inside yiseul's journal. while looking side to side for any presence of yiseul, minho started flipping through the journal. as he flipped through the pages, the more he got shocked at what he found out; yiseul was a part of apoca x lips, well at least that's what her journal showed him. after that coffee date, minho started to doubt yiseul's motives and started theorizing about how yiseul was just using him for her own benefit. although, minho couldn't bring himself to that thought. after spending so much time with yiseul, he learned that there was more to yiseul than he first originally thought. after weeks of holding it in, minho finally tells yiseul the truth. at first, yiseul was a little shocked but soon regains her composure. after five minutes of awkward silence, yiseul decided to tell minho the truth since she couldn't deny it with all of the proof he bought up. yiseul had expected minho to cuff her and everything, but after getting to know yiseul, minho couldn't do it. his heart had belonged to yiseul.
