APPEARANCE ) Kisumi has long, straight hair (the split/part is like the ulzzang's) dyed like this that reaches her lower back. Everyone she has met has told her she has the darkest eyes (iris) they have ever seen, and that she has a charming eye-smile. She has three piercings on her right ear and one on her left earlobe. At 18 years old, she stands at 177 cm (and she's praying she won't grow any taller) and is starting to look just a little lanky. She's glad most of the height comes from her legs and not her neck or something.
STYLE ) The four things Kisumi loves are jackets, big sweaters/hoodies, black skirts and combat boots. Most of the time she has a pretty casual style, but she does likes cute things and a dress here and there. Her type of formal dress would be the type that flares out a lot or has lots of folds/layers on the skirt part.
PERSONALITY )
When you first meet Kisumi, the first thing you would think about her is that she's free. She's easy-going and chill. She doesn't seem like she cares about the future or the past and only focuses on what is happening right now. She's the type of girl that knows how to have fun and enjoy her life. However, that isn't always a good thing because she tends to be impulsive and doesn't think about the consequences. She never realizes what she needs (later on in life) and just wants to get what she wants (now) so she tends to act on emotions. [example: "I'm thirsty now and there's only a little bit of water left. It's okay, I'll just drink it now since I'm thirsty. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get more water later." -- and she'll drink the whole thing without even thinking about how she'll get more later.]
And she does seem a little power-hungry at times because she's always looking and aiming for a higher place (it's not really thinking about the future, but what she wants to experience now). But that makes her very hardworking and she always pushes herself to her limits. It can make her very stubborn, but it also makes her very creative. She'll think of the most bizarre things and is convinced that it will work/happen. (Okay she might be a little crazy at times but hey they say good artists are crazy right?) She's childish in that way. But it can also come in handy when people want to think outside the box. Some good things about Kisumi would be that she's very understanding and open-minded. She's able to accept any kind of situation and is able to look at things from another person's point of view. She never judges until she gets to know everything. In a way, she can be a peacemaker. People are comfortable talking to her because they know she's open-minded and understanding so they're not afraid that she will give them dirty looks. It's also a plus that she's a good secret keeper. She doesn't like gossip, but she's a good listener if you just need somebody to talk to. She's pretty nice and considerate most of the time. In a way, she has good intuition because she is able to catch onto situations quickly and she always know exactly what to say to other. Ever since she was a kid, she loved screaming and yelling. Singing probably started for her when her parentsforced convinced her to use that "beautiful" voice of hers for singing instead. So instead of shouting out every sentence she said, she started belting out lyrics instead. Everybody in her neighborhood knew her voice. At first they were all annoyed because she was like an alarm clock; wake up at 6:30am, start singing at 7:00am sharp. Everyday. Not to mention that she liked rock music. Her neighbours were constantly complaining. But as she got better, some actually looked forward to her voice. She got some invitations to join bands, and she did. She joined an all-girl band (Scandal) and a while later, they went to perform at a festival in Tokyo. That's when she realized it was the life for her. She loved the sea of people, the spotlight and the cheers.
That day, she got cards from a few companies. Since she wasn't the type to think about the past or future, she went by impulse (and also partly because Irene is there) and ended up flying over to Korea to train under SM entertainment. Kisumi doesn't have much money, so she would just eat cheap stuff like instant noodles every day... or leech off of her members or Irene (she pays them back by being extra nice to them and giving them food when she actually gets something good). But she takes her training very seriously. She tries to train for around 12 hours a day, but time often lies by quickly and she often ends up staying for around 20 hours instead. THEIR (HI)STORY )
The two have been together since they were babies. Even back then, they got along very well. Irene had always been the reasonable, quiet one while Kisumi was the opposite impulsive and loud one. While Irene would be too shy to speak, Kisumi would easily voice out her thoughts for her, and when Kisumi looked like she was going to step over the line, Irene would gently pull her back. Some people thought they could communicate without even speaking. Even now, they're still the same. Kisumi is the one that's helping Irene voice out her thoughts while Irene smiles gently and observes quietly. Everyone thought they were the perfect pair. They did everything from pulling out weeds to feeding stray dogs to washing each other's hair to traveling across the world with each other.
Kisumi would make sure to visit Irene every single chance she gets and the two kept in close contact until Irene became a trainee. She became very busy after that and trained constantly even during summer and winter vacation. Kisumi was really disappointed when that happened, but continued to desperately keep in contact. Irene tried to reply as much as she could. This was about 80% why Kisumi decided to suddenly fly over to Korea from Japan to train under SM Entertainment. She knew she'd be able to get close to Irene there. She was afraid that Irene would forget her. But when she found out that Irene was the same as ever and was still extremely close with her, she realized she didn't know why she was still under SM and decided to leave. They still keep in close contact and now that Kisumi was in Korea, they often meet up. They can meet up freely since people don't expect them to be a couple.
Both were pretty confused about their relatioship. Did they like each other? Were they just friends? Sisters? Neither had ever taken interest in a girl before (except those girl crushes) so they were very confused. They didn't dare speak to each other about their feelings in case they scared the other one off. When Kisumi ended up dating Daehyun and realized that as much as she liked him, it just wasn't the same feeling as with Irene. Kisumi had known her for her whole life after all. And as Kisumi watched Red Velvet gain popularity, Kisumi realized how easily Irene could be taken. She decided to take a risk and confess to Irene. Irene had actually been really sad when Kisumi told her that she was dating Daehyun. She thought that Kisumi probably wasn't interested in girls after all (and she really isn't, but Irene is an exception) but was happy for her childhood friend nonetheless. When Kisumi confessed, she was really caught off-guard. (Maybe she'll start crying? And Kisumi is probably horrified lol) Irene asked her what she meant and Kisumi explained to her. They eventually got everything cleared up.
CONCLUSION ) They have a private relationship (since neither has been the type to like that sort of unwanted attention). They have a more innocent type of relationship, so nothing past holding hands, cuddling and kisses. Maybe they can do a duet together? >u<
