if she's asked whether she's disappointed with her life or not, she would say yes. unlike most kids out there, she might forgot how her father's face if she didn't look at the photo album of her old family. actually, her father had passed away when she turned three years old ( or four in korean age ) due to his acute diabetes. according to her mother's story, her father was a ceo of a popular brand of gadget in south korea. at the time when her father passed his life away, the company was shocked, of course, because her father had never mentioned anything about his illness besides his wife. and right on that day, all of the staffs there were contemplating who should be the replacement.

 

her mother told the company that she got an idea of using her brother to take over the company. but her husband's bestfriend told her that her husband ever told him that if ever he passed away, he could fill-in the ceo position. since it was her husband's bestfriend, she just agreed to what he said. he also promised to take care of the company and the family well. oh right, her father also told his bestfriend that he should also take care his family. but guess what? business is just that unpredictable, vicious, ruthless and too much bulls happen.

 

when jaewook, her father's bestfriend did promise about taking care of the family by giving them loads of money twice a month, pay for their apartment and so on, those are just empty words. now her mother regretted to make her husband's bestfriend as the ceo and didn't even hesitate buying his bulls. jaewook didn't even care a single bit about his bestfriend's family and he lived happily since then. and what happened to ahyoung's family? they turned to be destitute to the point that her mother had to sell the apartment and lived in a cheap place far from the city. alright, maybe they still got a tiny bit of pity from jaewook. he sent them rice and money once a year. but still, that wasn't enough to make a living.

 

until one day her mother met with a widower music producer who was in his vacation in the city her family lived. they grew interest and eventually they married and her family moved with woohyuk, her step-father, to seoul. after living as a poor for three years, ahyoung finally knew how it feels like to be in a middle-class family. you can say that she had experienced those three classes of societal hierarchy. then, her mother gave birth to a boy and ahyoung really loved her new family. ahyoung had always been wanting to be an actress ever since she watched the character cries in a drama. but having a demanding step-father who works in a music industry, he enrolled her in an art school and put her in the music department. ahyoung had to learn at least four musical instruments. well now, she had mastered piano, guitar, violin and drums. same goes with her brother.

 

one day, when she turned fifteen, her step-father told her to audition in one of the big three and he would try his best to help her to be accepted there. but ahyoung didn't want to audition in the popular ones because she's hipster like that. but because of her mother's scolding to obey her father, she eventually went to sm. instead of singing, dancing, or rapping, she auditioned to be an actress instead by showing off her acting skill. since she only learned acting by herself, she was rejected immediately. and when her father knew about the deviated-audition she did, he was mad of course. and finally she told her that she didn't want to audition in the big three. then her father let her choose the company as long as she would be a singer or something related. she went to borium, the soon-to-be popular company. well yeah, they're trying to join the list of big three somehow.

 

however, she was accepted by singing a ballad song while shedding tears due to the sadness of the song ( thanks to her acting skill ). she was actually feeling reluctant at first but when she discovered her skill of rapping, wow, that was no joke. rap could make her feel alive. since then, she promised to her dad that she would be a popular female rapper in south korea. that's her goal, by the way.

trainee life:

ahyoung has trained in borium for four years. yes, she has a good voice to sing and even great voice to rap. for the first year, being a trainee was real hard because she didn't have any intention to be a singer or dancer. hey, she wanted to be an actress! but in the next year she discovered her rap skill and she started to rap more than often. because of that, she talks like she's being chased by a shinkansen as well. in other words, she talks fast. whenever she talks, people always tell her to say her words slowly — pronounce it even. as for her dance, you can't expect anything from her. she even took weeks until she's able to split her legs. she has no interest at all in dancing. but because of the kind and patient dance instructor, she's finally get to the basic level of dancing. and if she wants to be in a girl group, basic dance skill is required. as for vocal, she enjoyed it better than dancing. actually, she feels that she's perfect for a low note instead of high. yeah but other than those three she still loves acting, okay. and she can't forget that day where she was invited to act in a drama.

their first encounter was of course, in "The Moon That Embraces The Sun" drama set, approximately two years ago. since jingoo has a big role unlike ahyoung ( she got the role of being a shaman, anyway ), she saw him like every time she's on the set. and since ahyoung only got a small role, they didn't talk each other but at least they knew each other's faces. at the first time they met, ahyoung always thought to herself that she wouldn't like that kind of guy. you know, jingoo is  dark guy whereas ahyoung is a milky white kinda girl. and judging from the first glance, jingoo wasn't that type of "look and talk to me then boom! you get pregnant" guy. but from day to day, he looked more attractive than before. well, she couldn't do anything but stalking him quietly ever since.

 

he hadn't acknowledged her until came that scene where jingoo had to talk with ahyoung in the drama. he always liked a girl with attractive face and fortunately ahyoung has that thing. he wanted to talk with her but he was rather shy to talk with strangers. but luckily, ahyoung knew that he wanted to have a conversation with her by reading his demeanor. and there she was, saying hello to him and properly introduced each other. since then, they exchanged kakaotalk id and even though they didn't chat that much due to their busy life, jingoo with his films and dramas whereas ahyoung with his trainee life, they only chatted approximately thrice a week and meet up once or twice a month.

not only having to meet in a cafe, after those two years of friendship they also meet in their own house. as usual, he likes to jokes so whenever ahyoung goes to his house, she has to answer one of his riddles before she can go inside. like "what happens when you throw a blue rock into the yellow sea?" and when ahyoung can't answer it, she'll act annoyed until jingoo let her go inside. even though they rarely meet, they still encourage each other through chat app. but! there was a scandal about that they're secretly dating but both of them denied it. ahyoung always thought to herself that she doesn't like him somehow. yet jingoo isn't in the same boat as her. he admits that he likes her but is still afraid to tell her.

 

ahyoung discovers that she has crush towards jingoo when jingoo told her that he's currently in a drama where he has to kiss a girl that is older than him by seven years. she knows she's jealous when he told her that. until right now, both of them are in still denial. as for jingoo, he's still contemplating and waiting for that perfect time when he'll confess to her.

 

oh, and whenever they go shopping or just hang out, believe it or not, most of the time he spends his money for ahyoung. and because of his habit of spending too much money on her, she often scolds him. she has ever hid his wallet even. if you see him thoroughly, he's actually a boyfriend material. but he won't be that boyfriend who likes to take selca with his girlfriend because he's been thinking himself how do people take selca greatly? he can't even touch the camera button because his thumbs are too big. usually, ahyoung takes candid pictures of him or they take selca but ahyoung's the one who holds the phone, somehow.
