Yoonmi was born into a normal family, consisting of a father, mother, and 2 older brothers. Being the only daughter in the family, she was greatly spoiled, not only by her parents, but her brothers as well. This caused her to be very childish and spoiled, but because of her innocent face, people could not hate her. At the age of 8, her father became a successful bussinessman, and one of the wealthiest bussinessman in Korea. And since then, her parents didn't have the time for her brothers and her. They often never came home, leaving their children alone. And from that day, her father hired a personal tutor. The tutor taught Yoonmi every subject, and of course, some extra subjects like English, and Japanese. One day, when she 12, her mother got into a car accident. She didn't die, but she paid her price. Her eyes. Her mother became blind. Though she was blind, she was glad, because she could spend time with her children. Because of the incident, her father decided to enroll her into a prestigious private school. Her father even told her to take taekwondo and archery class, which she obeyed. Even though she was forced, she quickly enjoyed taekwondo and archery. She got her black belt at the age of 17, and she was a master in archery. Her father and her mother were very proud of her because of that.

After she graduated from highschool, she decided to be a doctor. Her parents agreed, and she found herself in Seoul National University, one of the most prestigious university in Korea. She decided to live in a dorm, because she was used to it. After packing up her luggage, she decided to take a night walk outside, happy to be away from her Chinese roommate. She could understand some things she said, but she was completely clueless. And now, she regretted that she didn't take Chinese as her language class back in high school. She decided that she would learn Mandarin, and she googled some basic mandarin words on her phone. While walking, soft mewls reached her ears and she frowned. Because of her fondness of animals of any kind, she rushed and searched for the source of the sound. Not long after that, she found a little kitten. It was freezing and curled into a fetal position, mewling softly. Yoonmi's eyes widened and took off her jacket, wrapping it carefully around the kitten and rushed home. But she didn't know, that her life was about to change.

Kai didn't even know why the guardians had to search for a mentee. It was tiring, and of course, he was pissed off. After an hour of sipping a coffee in a cafe, he found a solution on how to find his mentee. Being a guardian of animals, of course he could shape shift into any animals he wanted. But either that his calculations were wrong, or if he was just stupid, he found himself in a body of a kitten, freezing and mewling pathetically near the trashcan. 'Oh God, I am so stupid!' That was his thought while he tried to change back into his 'human' form. But he couldn't. Why? Because one, he was cold. Two, he was hungry. Three, he had no energy left. He was sure that his other hyungs had found their mentee, even the maknae. Now, he could only wish for his hyungs to find him, or, for someone to save him from the freezing air. Not long after that, he found himself wrapped in a warm, fluffy jacket, which belonged to a cute, young girl and he grinned to himself. Heh. Not bad.

Have you ever heard of 'Don't judge a book by its cover'? That line describes Yoonmi. Here are some description about her 'interesting' personality.

Mature - From the outside, because of her face, she may looks like a childish, and spoiled brat. But actually, she is not. She is very mature, even for her age. She likes to nag people when she finds they do something wrong. Also when they are lazy to do anything. And yeah, basically people is easy to get annoyed by her nagging, but sometimes, it is just her way of expressing her care and concern for other people.

Independent - Even though she came from a wealthy family, she was very independent. It was because she lived in a dorm before, from the age of 12. She likes to do everything on her own. She will only ask for help when she has some problems. She may sounds selfish at first, but she actually doesn't want to burden other people with her problems. She is also very detailed in everything she does.

Intelligent and witty - She is very intelligent, and is clearly shown through her grade. She was once a student council president too. She hates arguments, and sometimes, when arguing, she would use intelligent or witty remarks, making her opponent speechless. And she is very proud of that.

Careless and Forgetful - Yes. She is very careless. and forgetful. Two in one. Sometimes she would forgot to lock the door or maybe her windows. Maybe she would forgot her important stuffs when she was about to go outside. Or maybe she would cross the street without looking first? Yeah, she is a severe case. She also loves daydreaming, which is dangerous. It's a miracle that she's still alive until today.

Slightly Spoiled - Even though she's mature, sometimes, she can act like a spoiled princess. If she wants something, she has to get it, no matter what. If she doesn't get the thing she wants, she can be very grumpy, or maybe she won't talk to anyone for the entire day. But give her some sweets and you will be fine.

Sarcastic and Pranking People - She can be sarcastic, and trust me, she is not the person to mess with. Her sarcastic jokes are very blunt, and she can hurt people with only her words, without her knowing. She also likes to prank people, which often gets too far. People often gets hurt from her pranks. And did I mention that she liked jokes? No? Well, she will really get along with people who likes jokes. And maybe a person who likes horror.

Sometimes Arrogant and Selfish - She has always lived in a glamorous lifestyle. Her father is a wealthy bussinessman, her oldest brother is a famous composer and her second older brother is a famous choreographer, it is understandable that she is a little arrogant. Sometimes she will use her status to get what she wants. Which isn't that hard, to be honest. She also can be a little ignorant, and selfish. She doesn't like people using her stuffs. And she doesn't like lending her things to other people.

PERSONALITY. Maybe the saying 'Don't judge a book by its cover' also describes Kai well. From the outside, he appears to be a cold and dark person, who emits a cold aura. With his killer glare and annoying smirk, he can scare anyone, even those who doesn't believe in ghost. People often feels intimidated when standing near him, and they don't even dare to meet his gaze. It's as if he's a shinigami, or The God of Death.

But actually, he is a shy and caring person. He has the difficulties in expressing himself with words, so he prefers to stay quiet. He often stays in the dark with his shadows, analyzing every situation and make mental notes on the do and don't. He also is the best strategist among the guardians, even though he is the second youngest. He is also very protective toward people he cares about. Some people may says that he is overprotective sometimes, but that is just his way of expressing his love and concern toward other people. Maybe a certain person could help him to open up?

MEETING. After reaching her home, Yoonmi ran to her room and the heater. Kai wondered why she, a young girl, would care about him, a pathetic kitten which she found near a trashcan. And that made him interested in her. Maybe she could be her mentee? Nah, she's too innocent looking and she was not suited to be his mentee. But he decided to stay longer, to see the girl's personality matched with his. Maybe he could not find a hot mentee, but if he found an intelligent mentee, that would be okay.

For the next 3 days, Kai continued to live in Yoonmi's house. He discovered some interesting things about her, and he was deciding to make her his mentee or not. But his thoughts were cut short when Yoonmi came in with 2 other girls and a boy around her age. Kai jumped from the bed and walked lazily to Yoonmi, and Yoonmi picked him up with ease. For the next two hours, Kai was getting impressed by the girl's intelligent and witty remarks, which got her friend speechless. It was quite a feat, because the three of them were members of the debate club. And Kai was smirking happily when the girl made a good strategy while playing an online game with her friends. It was one of the best strategy he had ever heard. So he decided that she would be his mentee.

The next day, Yoonmi found herself in the bed, and unusually heavy. She opened one eyes and was surprised when warm, brown eyes stared back into hers. She screamed and fell off the bed. She stood up shakily and pointed to the unknown boy.

"Who are you?"
"I'm Kim Jongin. But call me Kai."
"How did you get in here?"
"You took me 5 days ago, remember?"

It didn't take long for Yoonmi to figure out. She took a deep breath, and told Kai to explain everything. He told her everything, and he was surprised to see that she was taking all of it calmly. He expected her to freak out or something like that. After a good, an hour of explaining, and 5 hours of waiting, Yoonmi finally decided to go with Kai. The reason? She wanted to go on an adventure.

INTERACTIONS/STORY. They were very cold at the beginning. They would often exhange a few words here and there, but otherwise than that, the didn't. Kai would only give her instructions to practice, while she would only ask him some important questions. And sometimes, they would be very bipolar. They would tease each other, and then all of sudden, they would be laughing together. And then, they would be arguing, and, Yoonmi always won, which made the other guardians speechless. But, sometimes, Kai would be caring and protective of her, which made Yoonmi confused. One thing she didn't know, that Kai had slowly fallen in love with her. The way she talks, she eats, she walks, everything were perfect to him. But Yoonmi, who was very oblivious to the fact that Kai loves her, misunderstood his actions for something else. Sibling relationships, perhaps? But thing changed when Yoonmi started to realize that she was falling in love with Kai. But her fear of rejection and Kai's difficulties in expressing his love for Yoonmi made things difficult. They would be awkward around each other, and Kai resorted to his last choice. He acted cold around her. Yoonmi was hurt, of course, and she always frowned when she was around Kai. The other guardians and the girls, who knew all along about their love for each other, planned a matchmaking for them. In the end, they succeeded. Yoonmi and Kai became a couple, all thanks for the other guardians and the girls.
