appearance » Cha Daewon has a youthful and handsome face. A face that any father would be glad to give to their daughter. Since he smiles often, he has parentheses around his mouth area and crinkles on his eyes. Standing at 180 cm, he has a strong built paired with a perfect set of collar bones (a feature of him that he personally adores). He likes his hair in a messy side swept but also admires it slicked up to the side to give him a profession look yet a 'yes I am your dream guy; fall for me' look.

style » Chawon isn't particularly fussy with outfit choices, especially since a trendy fashion taste comes naturally to him. He owns dull and neutral colors–blue, grey, white, black–but he likes color in his wardrobe as well. Pastel or striking colors like yellow or turquoise are some of his favorite to wear. Graphic tees, muscle tees, and basically anything that flatters his physique will be bought and worn. In the dorms, he wears cargo shorts with a tank top or a graphic tee. During practice, you would probably see him in a wifebeater and sweats hanging dangerously low on his hips.

personality » He can be so cheesy it makes you cringe and shudder, along with the need to punch him in the arm. But hey, you can't help but agree that you thought it was funny right? That's just what Chawon is, funny with a pinch–okay maybe a handful, of narcissistic. He's the guy everyone knows. Whether you know him for a good or bad thing, you can't deny that you love him. Cha Daewon is everyone's buddy, rival, or crush. He has a mouth and oh boy does he know who to use it–no ual puns intended. With Cha Daewon around, it feels like you're in a constant variety show full of laughs and an earful of The Last's Chawon. You won't find yourself awkwardly sitting in silence with someone, hoping time will fly by. He's a people person, a chatter box, Mr. Variety, King of all talks! Heck, if wasn't a singer, he'd have his own show. He knows people: what they want, what they like what they expect from people and he has the skill, face, potential, and utmost power to execute it beyond expectations.
His biggest strength is also his weakest. He may come across as being conceited, or a show-off. With his magnificent people skills, some may see him as a sarcastic know-it-all with a big head labeled "Megaphone". Many find him annoying for talking too much, others see it as a significant life skills of his. Regardless, managers tells him it's a good thing–variety comes easily to him–but for Chawon. he wishes to tone it down. He doesn't want to be known as the guy that everyone wants to have a beet and discussion with. He wants to be known as the strong singer and amazing dancer with a deep soul. Idolizing Kim Tae Woo, he wants to achieve an honorable name.
He's not much of a drinker since he becomes a hot mess; fighting, arguing, problematic. When things don't go as planned, he can become quite an –pressuring until things go a certain way. He doesn't like to become Cha Daewon the douche bag, but even apples know when picking season is. When he is under a lot of stress and may things are thrown at him all at once PLUS people are constantly talking to him, he will no doubt become a sarcastic bastard and hit you with fluent sarcasm; to the point it becomes unbearable!

Trainee's Experience » Chawon auditioned for A-Clever in 2011 with the song "To My Mother" by G.O.D. Since he chose such a classic and legendary song, they quickly grew interested in him. Also he held very handsome physique and a bright smile that any girl would swoon over. He received a call back. This time he was told to sing AND dance. After singing Kim Tae Woo's song Echo, he moved onto his dancing skills. Although at the time he wasn't a strong dancer, he still acquired satisfactory skills. After his audition, he was officially a trainee for A-Clever. During training, he was quite popular amongst his fellow trainees (as we know) for both good and bad reasons. Whenever there were bullying happening in front of him, he would talk them out of bullying. When push comes to shove, he wouldn't hesitate to stand his ground and fight. For this reason he had gained respect and reputation. Already he was a huge candidate to be a part of The Last, but his fighting brought him to the brink of having to leave. Therefore he stopped all violent incidents and focus on training instead.

background » Son of a family of Seoulite, it's no wonder Cha Daewon is such a people person. His mother is a local beauty consultant stylist, among a close group of women, while is father is a well-respected attorney. Born into a wealthy family, Chawon held high expectations ever since he popped out of the womb. While his father wanted him to be a lawyer, his mother wanted his godly looks to be admired as a model. Following his own path, Chawon followed his dream of wanted to be a singer. His mother was proud while his father was quite upset about his son's decision but supported nonetheless. His family is very close with each other. Regardless of his absence, he still calls them and gets nagged by his older twin sister; nothing changes really.

Thinks before she speaks and does what she says. | Aside from his father, Daewon looks up to his sister the most. They hold a close relationship and although she doesn't say much, she says enough to make him feel assured.
 

friends/rivals » Cha Daewon is friends with many people but they are merely acquaintances. However he is close friends with Nam Woohyun of Infinite. Both share a similar ego, lame pick up lines, excessive fan service, and love for music. 
His rival would most likely be GOT7's JB since they are both rookies and are main vocalist/dancers of their group. It's not a strong rivalry but it's a healthy one that two have to improve.

love story » Chawon is a pessimist when it comes to love. It's annoying and it only makes things more difficult. Love is a joke that he takes lightly. When he sings all these love songs, he couldn't cringe any harder. He laughs at s that are in love. And when they are heart broken, he insensitively says "I told you so."

Before he debuts or when his teaser is released, an ex-trainee (the one who Daewon fought) addressed that "Cha Daewon is very violent and would often start up fights." Later on he took back his words and apologized for releasing false rumor. A-Clever handles it well, didn't they (:
