So basically I dreamt that I was an idol, but since S. Korea is very cisheteronormative, I had to dress like a girl all the time. Because of this, I was always grumpy at styling sessions or in photoshoots. Well, I became friends with Jonghyun, Key, and Amber, and Jonghyun asked why I was always upset during those things, and I explained that I'm non-binary, so I shift between identifying as different genders, and tend to lean toward more masculine ones most of the time.

Well he was fascinated by the idea of there being more than two genders, and listened to stories about how in science class, people would ask me if I was a boy or a girl, and I would just say, "No, no no -- I'm a scientist" (fun fact: I've actually done that).

Well, Jonghyun, being the wonderful activist he is, asked me to send him resources so he could learn more about non-binary identities, and then Amber and Key piped up and asked for them two because they both felt like they might be non-binary or trans after hearing that they don't have to fit into a specific gender mold.

And then all four of us went shopping and got patbingsu and it was cute and fun and I felt very good when I woke up.
