Once she hears music, she would start dancing even if she is shopping on the street. She is very positive and confident with whatever she do. Background: Her family consists of her parents, her brother and herself. Ever since she was young, she has been influenced by the Kpop industry. They moved to Korea when Hyo Lim is 5 years old. She took dancing with her brother and she herself took vocal lessons, rapping lessons and acting lessons. Her parents opened a chinese restaurant in Korea. After school, her brother and her would sing and dance in front of the restaurant to help her parents promote the food in the restaurant. Some people thought they were very good and JYP Ent called them to ask if they were interesed to be a singer. Her parents didn't allowed Hyo Lim as Hyo Lim was still young so only her brother agreed to be trained. She went to a academy where they train you to be a future Kpop idol. When she was 12, she got recruited by JYP Ent. Though there is tough training in the day, her mother wanted to go for English class and more after training.

How did you audition: During her days in the academy, JYP Ent decided to work with the academy to hold a audition in the academy to recruited students in the academy to be trainees under JYP Ent. JYP knew that Hyo Lim is Jang Wooyoung's sister and her brother speaks highly of her to JYP, JYP anticipated hyo Lim's performance. To JYP's prediction, Hyo Lim did do very well and sing and dance flawlessly. She even got first in the audition. She was recruited on the spot and were to sign the contract on the spot too.

Trainee background: She was very happy with the results and thank JYP for recruiting her. She called her parents and her brother the good news. When she reached home, her mother and her packed her bag and bring her to JYP Ent. Her brother and s welcomed her and brought her to her dorm with other trainees. She shared a room with two other trainees and become friends immediately.She went for the training with her new made friends and she went for extra lessons that her mother prepared for her after training. she reached to dorm by 12 midnight and decide to practice her vocal for a while and would usually go to bed by 3am. She had to wake at 6am to go the school that is before training. She had good relationaship with the members in the group and she is their laughter in the group.

Hyo Lim met ChaeJin right when she debuted. She was walking down the corridor of dressing room in KBS when she bumped into a man and she said sorry. Knowing that she is a newcomer, he took care of her and brought her to all dressing room and introduced her to other idols.
