Posting ships on EXOs IG?

I don't really understand why people are getting upset that people are mentioning ships in EXO members instagrams. 

  1. They know that they're shiped. Sehun and Luhan said plenty of times that Hunhan was cute.
  2. Baekhyuns parents know about Baekyeol and Kaisoo and said it was cute. I guarantee that they know pretty dam well too.
  3. Fans hold up ship banners at lots of events, you'll see it in lots of fan photots. 
  4. Fans are usually shouting ship names, or when a member is asked to pick another member, they'll yell it out. 
  5. SM basically ships the popular couples aswell. AKA; The obvious on-stage fanservice.

If they knew about it then I'm pretty sure they don't really care. Sure, Tao deleted an instagram update of him and Lay, but why are people blaming the people in the comments? Like come on, its TAO! He probably didn't like the way he looked or something. Usually the comments are in English, he barely understands anyways. 

I think the comments everyone should be stopping is the constant complaining about Kris' style... or rude comments in general. Some EXO members, especially Kris (obviously) and D.O understand English-- what I would say-- very well, and I'm sure Kris read and felt hurt at some comments. Lets stop those comments and be thankful that EXO are trying to communicate with their fans.

Now back on the ship comments; I wouldn't really affect them because their entertainment pretty much ships them themselves. I think SM knows well about the popular ships and thats why you see lots of fanservice at concerts because they know. Its not as bad as people are exaggerating it to be. Focus on the comments that will hurt EXO, like the actual hate comments. 

Well, this is just how I look at things.

Random stranger here passing by, but yeah I agree that some people are making too much of a big deal on the shipping comment. Shipping is inevitably part of a celebrity life (even fictional characters), kpop or not. It has been there since Shinhwa and g.o.d. As long as the comment is made in good taste -not rude/hateful, not bordering on ual innuendos, not forcing their delusions on the members' throat, etc, I don't see why someone can't write heartTaohun or heartSetao on a comment to a photo of Sehun and Tao. It shows that the passionate fans cherish their 'line'. Yes, it could be potentially embarrassing for some celebrities but they it up because fans enjoy these sort of things. The fans that are probably overtly sensitive to such shipping comments don't probably ship the members...or only ship the member with themselves...

I think people are over-exagerating on this. Yeah their are some artists that hate it when fans ship them together and don't want it to be brought up in front of them, but, the guys in Exo don't seem to have a problem with it. It's like with the DBSK fandom: People said the same, exact thing about Yunjae, Yoosu, Jaemin etc but Yunho and Jaejoong both said they thought Yunjae was cute, I even think at some point they encouraged fans to ship them though correct me if I'm wrong I probably mis-read that ^^;

Anyway the point of this comment?

Many artists are aware of shipping and are okay with it. As long as they're okay with it then why the complaints?
