Of Japanese food and Korean food *At home*

Hey dearies,

I am updating my blog again this time about my food adventure, AT HOME *LOL*

Today, two of my besties came over and we had a sushi feast for lunch. We ordered takeaway sushi from JP Mart *a Japanese Cuisine stall in my town. It has a few outlets*. I think the sushis were really worth! First thing of course they were super scrumptious. The sushi rice was cooked to the right taste------slightly sweet and sour and the stickiness was just, awesome! Secondly, it was affordable * I consider it cheap!* It was like, 51 pieces of assorted sushis for only RM 39.90. The adverisement said 46 pieces for that price but oh well we got extra 5 pieces. *maybe the person in-charge was in a good mood?^^* The three of us love eating salmon sashimi very much but the price for the salmon set was extravagant for us. No worries, we came out with a plan. We actually bought fresh salmon from the supermarket and made our own sashimi. Such a brilliant idea, isn't it? :P However I guess we were too hungry that we hastily consumed the food. I only remember the feeling when my nose flamed up and tears stinging my eyes when I had salmon with wasabi :'D There went the part about Japanese food.

After a whole of afternoon of catching us and doing weird stuffs that only besties did, we went on to make korean fried chicken, (Dakgangjeong: 닭강정)! The three of us have been longing to eat fried chicken with beer (replaced with Shandy cause we don't and can't drink beer) after watching and went crazy about the korean drama on demand, 'You who came from the stars'. We watched a video on youtube about preparing and cooking this dish. I can say that it is really useful! At first, my friends were afraid of the oil and I was pushed as the one to fry the chicken *I was afraid to be burnt by the oil too, lol* but eventually one of them helped me in frying too. We used the double frying method. It turned out really nice and 'crunchy crunchy' as the ahjumma said on her food channel :D The sweet and spicy(mild because we don't like it too hot) sauce added perfection to the fried chicken! The combination of these two with a can of ice cold Shandy was heavenly. The only flaw about the fried chicken was that it was not that juicy. Perhaps we had fried it for too long but nevertheless it was a good start! You guys can visit this webpage for the recipe and tutorial about this mouth-watering dish--->
