PERSONALITY ▬ 
She is very artistic. Her passion lies with painting and design. Whenever she is not focusing on artwork or schoolwork, she can be found either sleeping or day-dreaming. She is a dreamer, but acts realistically and accordingly to whatever the situation asks of her. She is quiet, and has a seemingly shy personality (which she is not). She is more of a listener than she is a talker, but can hold a conversation. She seems lazy to others because she likes to sleep on her spare time, but is very hardworking when she needs to. She has the type of personality where anyone can feel comfortable telling their secrets to. She is very flexible with regards to situations, but slips up sometimes. She is very perceptive and open-minded, due to her dabbling in the arts. She likes to read facts on her spare time and prefers to watching documentaries and inde-movies to television shows because she prefers the artistic feel to it. When asked she would state "sleeping" as one of her hobbies because she enjoys it a lot. She has a more mature-type of personality due to the fact that she's the eldest in a family of five so her siblings look to her for advice whenever they need to, and she's had to take on a lot of responsibility with regards to taking care of them. 

One of the main things is that she's a dreamer. She likes to day-dream, thinking of different worlds and such. But the only influence that her day-dreaming plays a big factor in is her artwork and how she helps with raising her siblings. Aside from that, she is more realistic and practical. She is the type of person that people don't necessarily understand, and comes across as mysterious since she is not open about her personal life. But if asked, she would be honest about it. She also has a weird sense of humor, finding humor in things that most people would not laugh at.

Being the eldest in her family, she can tend to be a over protective with her siblings. She can come across as a bit over-bearing at times and smothering, although she tries to not impose on her siblings as much as she can. An example of this is evident when her siblings ask to go out by themselves, meet a friend or even ask to take the subway. Since she does not want anything bad to happen to them, she either demands that she meets the other party first to assess them or ends up traveling with them in order to make them feel safer. This trait also carries on to how she treats her friends as she often tries to take care of them, noticing the littlest details that are off. It is because of this that her friends find it difficult to hide secrets from her because of her observant nature. She tends to act somewhat like a servant to her family and friends, prioritizing her family over other things. She tends to put the needs of her family over the ones of her own, and so misses out on a lot of things as her mother takes advantage of the female's willingness (subconsciously). It does not matter if she has an important date with a friend, or an exam. If her family needs her, then her needs are pushed aside. 

She is not easy to persuade and once she makes her mind up about something, one would need to have a very logical reason as to why she should not follow through with her decsions. 

BACKGROUND ▬ 

Her background story is nothing really extraordinary. Being the oldest of five meant that instead of playing out in the fields after school, she would go straight home to tend to the needs of her little brothers and her little sister. Being the eldest female and having to tend to three younger boys was often trouble, but there was nothing else that she would rather be stuck doing. Having four little siblings to care for played a big part in why she likes to daydream since the four would often ask her to make up stories for them as she puts them to sleep. Her siblings also played a big part in her love for art, since in effort to keep them from running around and wrecking the entire house, she opted for creating crafts for them. She is sort of their "second" mother in a sense, having to mend their clothes and cook food. Her lack of social interaction with other kids her age is one of the reasons why she is quiet over-all, but not a big part of it. She just prefers saying things that are worth saying, and does not bother trying to start a conversation in slight fear that the other party would not be interested.

One of the reasons why she is so mature for her age is because her mother is a directresss of an orphanage and out of the five of them, the eldest male out of her brothers and herself are the only blood-related siblings. The rest of the kids were adopted by her mother. Due to the nature of her mother's job, her mother is often at the orphanage taking care of the other kids for extensive periods of time. This puts Hye-Rin in charge of the others at home. One would wonder where the male figure of her life is, the answer that she would like to give is: heaven. When her real brother and herself were younger, her father had run into an accident while repairing the roof of the orphanage that their mother worked at, dying a rather quick and painless death as he slipped from the roof and to the grounds. At least, that's what her mother had told them whenever they asked. 

FAMILY ▬
Kwak Mi-Kyung | 51 | Directress of 꿈 (Dream) Orphanage | Caring; Understanding; Loving; Patient | Mother
-  Her mother is not in the picture a lot due to the nature of her job. She trusts Hye-Rin the most when it comes to her siblings and always goes to her whenever she feels inadequate and does not know how to handle her siblings. She feels a little inept as a mother and is thankful that Hye-Rin is there to take care of the kids whenever requested. It is because of that, that Hye-rin's mother tends to abuse Hye-Rin's kindness (as much as she dislikes to) by requesting that she miss out on experiences with her friends to take care of her siblings. The two share a close relationship, despite her lack of presence in the house and although she cannot physically be there at times, the two often talk on the phone whenever Hye-Rin needs advice and would not desitate to drop her work in order to run home if Hye-Rin needs urgent help. The latter, of course, does not happen often as Hye-Rin usually has things under control at the house. 

Kwak Sihyun | 14 | student | Quiet; Helpful; Ambitious; Co-operative  | brother
- Since he is the oldest male, she is more lenient towards him and when she cannot be around, she appoints him to be in charge of the others. Since he is quiet, she is more sensitive to his needs and tries to see eye to eye with him if ever he gets involved in a bad situation. She is extremely proud of her brother and tries her hardest to reach out to him and pull him out of his shell because she fears that she will never know if anything bad happens to him because of his silent nature. 

Kwak Bae | 10 | student | Energetic; Funny; Rowdy (in comparison to the others) | adopted-brother
- She enjoys his company for the fact that she always tends to learn something new whenever she is around him. He is funny and clever, although a bit too Hyper-active for her to keep up with. Since he likes to play engaging contact sports, she often tries to bond with him through exactly that. Although she is not that athletic, she attempts to play soccer, baseball and basketball with him as a form of bonding whenever they have time to spare for each other. 

Kwak Kevin | 8 | student | Quick-witted; Smart; Observant; Courageous | adopted-brother
- Unlike her other brothers, Kevin likes to play computer games, puzzles or explore outside. He is often seen playing Star Craft or DOTA whenever he is in the house. Because of his love for mystery games and puzzles, he is often first to try to solve any mysteries in the house, much to Hye-rin's dismay. Although he contains a lot of sense, he tends to approach sketchy areas and ends up in dangerous situations, much to her disproval. An example of this would be when he tried to save the neighbour's cat from a nearby ditch and almost ended up falling inside and landing on the trash that was discarded there by drunks and passers by. Luckily he was spotted by Hye-rin before he could attempt his rescue. This usually ends up with the two arguing as Hye-rin scolds him the most in the family. He is the first to notice whenever things are wrong and is really mature for his age. Among the others, Hye-rin is most concerned about Kevin and most protective of him not only because of his tendancy to find trouble, but also because the other kids bully him due to his half-African American descent. With Kevin, Hye-Rin typically talks walks in order to bond with him or lend an ear whenever he seems troubled. She also likes to read mystery novels to him.

Kwak Kyung-Ri | 6 | student | a little Princess; cheerful; happy; Fussy | adopted-sister 
- She is Hye-rin's only sister and because of that, she tends to treat the younger like a Princess because she is worried that she will not be able to relate with her (having been exposed to the males for a longer period of time). Although she seems to be most gentle with her, Hye-rin does not fail to be stern whenever the younger does something wrong. Kyung-Ri is the type to want things her way, but Hye-Rin often reminds her that she needs to be sensitive to the needs of others and tries her best to discipline her without scarring her. Whenever Hye-Rin can, she bonds with her through tea parties and plays the part of a model whenever Hye-Rin wants to play dress up. 

OTHER CHARACTER ▬
Kim Myungsoo | 17 | student | Quiet; Mischeivious; Charasmatic; Protective  | close friend/childhood friend
- She met Myungsoo before she did the others and was his seatmate for the longest time during their elementary school years. He is the first person that she goes to whenever she has problems and he is very protective over her because of her nature to serve others before her own needs. Myungsoo likes to joke around with her and is the only girl he would allow the usage of skinship as he does not mind her hugs or rare kisses on the cheek. She was the reason why he discovered that he was biual as she was the one who introduced him to Sungyeol when they had first year homeroom together. She was his first crush and he confessed to her while they were still in middle school. Despite her rejection, they still managed to maintain their close friendship through highschool. It was their first year when he was introduced to Sunyeol, and although he was hesitant to date him at first (Sungyeol approached him), he still agreed because he did not want to hurt the other the way Hye-Rin had unintentionally hurt him. Although he still has some lingering feelings for Hye-Rin that he is working on, Myungsoo is quite content with his relationship with Sungyeol at the moment. He is a bit more sincere, relaxed and jokes more around Hye-Rin than he does to the others in their group.

Lee Sungyeol | 17 | student | Childish; Playful; Silly; Stubborn  | friend (Myungsoo's boyfriend--- yes? ;D)
- She met Sungyeol during her first year at the highschool. The three had class together and it is because of that, that Hye-rin and Sungyeol became friends. Sungyeol was the first to approach Hye-Rin because he was curious about her mysterious aura and because Myungsoo had attracted his attention from the start. Although he knows of Myungsoo's past crush on Hye-Rin, he does not care and as much as he can, he is trying to form new memories with Myungsoo in order to help him forget Hye-Rin in a romantic way. Sungyeol and Hye-rin hold a relationship as friends, not advancing further because Sungyeol is somewhat jealous of her and has that barrier to cross over before he can open to her in that way. With that said, Sungyeol will not hesitate to defend Hye-Rin and is starting to open up to her more these days as he tries to understand where she is coming from (and because he is starting to feel more secure about Myungsoo's feelings for him). He is really childish and likes to play a lot of practical jokes, and sometimes gets into arguments with Hye-Rin's siblings (that like to on purpose).

Cho Mi-Hee | 16 | student | Energetic; Optimistic; Loud; Affectionate  | best friend/childhood friend
- She met Mi-Hee in the orphanage, around the fourth grade (long after Myungsoo and Hye-rin had become friends). Mi-Hee is her the only female that Hye-rin considers herself close with. Being around males a lot, Hye-Rin finds it a little more difficult to relate with girls her age as her interests are more than trivial things. Mi-Hee is more like Hye-rin's guide on how to relate with other girls more and tries to incorporate her into various groups and pull her out of her shell. Mi-Hee and Hye-rin both share similar style, due to the fact that Mi-Hee was the one who influenced Hye-Rin's choice of style. Mi-Hee is the one who drags Hye-rin to malls. The two share similar dreams as Mi-Hee aspires to work in fashion, and Mi-Hee also indulges in Hye-Rin's habit of day-dreaming, often discussing them with her.

Siblings:
Kevin is half-African American and Half- Korean, the reason why he was placed in the orphanage (sadly enough) and because her mother had given him an english name, she had given her siblings an english name as well so that Kevin won't feel so awkward as he grows older. 
In order to take better care of her siblings, she likes to take on any interests that they have so that she can relate to them and bond with them more; she tries to not cast such a big shadow over her siblings and be an over-bearing sister.

As a Friend:
- She is someone that people can rely on to help and be there
- If life were a constant drinking party, she would be the designated driver and the nurse to the ones that are really drunk
- She keeps her phone on vibrate all the time in case her friends need her immediately or her family members urgently need her

ACADEMICS ▬ 
She is the typical mid-70s to low 80's student, trying her best whenever she can
Behaviour: She is really respectful of opinions and others since she does not want to offend anyone like how kids bully her siblings; she likes to sleep whenever she has the chance, sometimes dozing off in class (the teacher's don't really mind much because they know that she's a good student); always eager for weekends so that she can spend time with her siblings and catch up on what she missed while at school
School Clubs:

- Dance Club (recently joined since the oldest of her younger brothers suddenly started getting interested in becoming an idol so she wants to be able to help him)
Reputation: She does not really have many enemies, although sometimes people get annoyed by her passive nature. She is known to be an elder sister type/mother type since she treats everyone well and helps whenever they ask. This often leads to people taking advantage of her helpful nature.

PERSONALITY ▬
He is a dreamer, much like herself. She enjoys hearing about his little fantasies since she likes to visual it, it makes her understand how she sounds from her sibling's point of view whenever she tells them stories. He is really sweet and gentle, his love of dance known to the whole student body. He likes to portray himself as oblivious for the fact that he prefers to surprise people by silently observing them. He is a listener, and a good shoulder to cry on since he isn't the type to impart his views on people unless they request to know what they did wrong. At the same time, he is not the type to instantly dislike a person unless a person gives them a reason to dislike them. He is patient and great at instructing, although he is not the best academically due to his nature of zoning out whenever he class gets too boring. He is the type of person who wants to enjoy life as much as he can, and even if he has a bad day it is not as apparent because he prefers to not take out his anger and frustrations on another person. He likes to solve problems at the root, instead of running away, he faces them. Although he is a fun guy, he is capable of being serious and providing great advice.

RELATIONSHIP ▬ 
They have creative writing club together and sit beside each other. He always noticed the way that she tended to fall asleep whenever they were not required to do any tasks, though he never really questioned it. She was the first one to speak to him, surprisingly, although it was just to wake him up when the club leader arrived so that he would not get in trouble. They did not start off as friends immediately, but soon enough, she became the person who would edit his writing assignments and he would listen to her own ideas (giving his own input whenever she asked), but he mostly listened to what she had to say since she always had wonderful ideas. She was one of the first people to not judge him when he opened up to her about his fantasies about being a unicorn that heals people. In fact, she was delighted to hear about it and always asks him to tell her a story whenever they have free time. His reasoning for wanting to join Creative Writing club as an outlet in order create stories about his alternate universe/alter ego.
Outside of the creative writing club, they never really spoke much. Mostly because of their different crowds of friends. She spent most of her time with her quiet, reserved friends, save for her best friend and that Sungyeol kid. While he spent most of his time with his crowd and the two never really crossed paths. They started to talk more and spend more time together when she joined the Dance Club. He spends most of his time tutoring her whenever the club decides to learn new choreographies and corrects her whenever she needs it. He knows her reason for wanting to join and finds it admirable that she wants to learn, so he tries his best to help her, even offering to train her brother if he ever needed help. In return, she offered to tutor him with whatever classes that he needed help with, and because of this, they find themselves around each other more these days, meeting up in the school library when clubs are over in order to work on their school work.

What do you think of the whole second button thing ?
▬ Between school and home, I haven't really had much time to think about it. To me, it's just another tradition or urban legend at the school. Now that you've asked me the question, I think that it's a rather cute tradition. It seems almost like a promise ring, but with much more sentimental value to it since the guy would have worn it for a great deal of his school life. For him to want to give it to a girl, seems like he'd want to share his memories with her and make her a part of them.
Do you believe the rumor about love spirit in the Abandoned gym ?
▬ I mean, people haven't really /disproven/ or /proven/ the reality of spirits. If there's something working to help love bloom, then that's great. I guess I'm just a little agnostic about the rumor, but one can only dream of such selfless spirits.
Do you prefer to ask for the second button or receive it without asking ? Why ?
▬ It'd be nice to recieve it, but if I ever needed to ask for it then that's cool with me too. There are so many men out there with different kinds of personalities, if the situation called for me to take that first step, then I would not think twice about it. 
If you plan on asking a second button, who would it be ?
▬ This..Well.. Every girl has that one man in mind that they dream would notice them, don't they? Mine happens to be Zhang Yixing. 
Is there someone from class 3-a caught your attention ? Why ?
▬ Zhang Yixing definetly has my eye. I don't know what it is about him that I just can't tear myself from, to be honest. It might be the way that I always manage to see him asleep whenever I see him. I guess it makes me curious to know what he could be dreaming of while he sleeps with that small smile on his lips.

Well, I was thinking when she asks for his button (if she does) that she would do it in a not so subtle, artistic kind of way. She would use a picture with them together (since they would at least be friends) and paint it on a canvas board, leaving the area where Yixing's second button is bare and she'd ask for it along these lines:
Hye-rin: I made a painting, but I think that it's missing something.
Yizing: What do you think it's missing?
Hye-rin: Your second button (She would say before turning to him, holding the painting close and look at him with curious eyes to see how he would react)
