Personality: "People have a tendancy to misunderstand me. They always think I'm angry but in reality, this is just how I am. I usually have a pretty blank face but that doesn't mean I'm hard to get along with." These are always the words heard coming out of Fairytale's leader's motuh and its true. Jiyeon can be expressionless most of the times but that's actually just a facade. Honestly, Jiyeon is the easiest member to laugh and finds every joke funny, no matter how lame it is. She's a very positive person, always looking at the bright side of ife. Towards her group members, she's motherly and caring, although a bit naggy and strict. She's very bubbly and chic and She's well known for her sassy attitude and undeniable demure. Fans wouldn't expect this out of her since she's the leader of the group but she's actually a nerd at heart, always cracking sarcastic remarks and always being the last one to come out whenever they are coming from the dorm. She could be very charming at times, and maybe this is the reason why she's got this line of fanboys trailing after her. She's wise, always quick to retort a comeback, and shows maturity at a very young age.

One of her key traits is her humor and her ability to lead at all times. She's very easy to get along with, due to her leader-like nature and there's rarely a time when she has conflict with people around her. She'll bear weights on her shoulder, things she shouldn't have to worry about but worry about anyways. Always on the rational side, she wont decide without thinking much of it. She was always taught to think of a consequence before making any rash decision thus always being indecisive. she'll usually need a couple of days before finally making a choice, since she wants to have the best of everything. Jiyeon can be very persistent if she wanted to. On screen, she isn't afraid to make a fool out of herself and she doesn't hide her real personality from the fans and viewers. In her group, she's known as the ahjumma who always nags and gets ready the longest. She's protective of her members and tells them that appearances isn't the only thing that matters in the world. She strongly believes that weight isn't something to worry about and she's shared her concern about teenagers dieting unhealtily. She is an opinionated person, strongly advocating her views at all times and it isn't so surprising that she's been invited to many 'cause for a good' event. She actively participates in events along with other members and they donate monthly to victims of malnutrition and natural disasters. When it comes to her music career, although the leader has a charismatic and sometimes y image, she isn't everything she portrays on screen. in fact, she's rather clumsy and talkative, filled with charm and stories.

Background: Jiyeon was born on Vancouver, Canada to both Korean parents, her dad a doctor and her mom a musician. She grew up abroad but was well accustomed to Korean tradition. It was on her 14th birthday when she was scouted by a Premium Ent. and was asked to do an impromptu audition for them which included both singing and dancing. Having taken singing lessons, she sang the way she would have done, not so good but not so terrible either. After her audition was done, she went home right after and told her mom about it. At that time, her mom didn't make a big deal out of it because she was not scouted right away and that she doubted the company will really contact her 2-3 weeks later. However, when they all forgot about the street audition she did, her mom suddenly got a phone call, stating the interest in having Jiyeon train in Korea to become a singer. After a thorough talk, her parents let her go to Korea and she began training right before she turned 15. There she lived in a dorm with other trainees and studied at the same time, due to her parents' request of finishing high school.

Trainee background: During her trainee years, she lived in the dorm with other trainees away from home and both parents. Since she came during her junior year, she was transferred to an arts school under her parents' wishes. During training time though, even though she was always the last one to get ready,s he was always prompt and punctual with the call time and did what she was told to do. At first it was really hard for her. She lived in an unfamiliar place and juggled her studying time with trainee life. However, after meeting friends who were going through the same things as she was and meeting the members assigned to the planned group, she began to feel more at ease. Slowly, she began to accustom her life and soon, she started feeling as if she belonged.

Personality: Kris is humble despite the fact that he's very proud of himself. Hardworking and caring towards s, he has all the qualities of a good leader although not everyone can see it at first. When you first meet him, you'll be intimidated by the scowl thats plastered on his face and the eyebrows that just seems to raise up each time someone asks a question. His equally stiff demeanor doesn't help either; however, he's actually a warm person once you get to know him, someone who is always looking after those who he is close with. y, charming, and charismatic on stage, he isn't very much different when he's off stage despite the fact that he can be very dorky, out of character, and hilarious.

How you met: 2 years before debuting and 1 year prior to EXO's debut, the two were introduced to one another. However, she was not expecting the person to be a guy. She soon learned that Kris was from Canada just like her and that the members thought it'd be good if they met one another since they had similar backgrounds. Upon meeting, Jiyeon was easily intimidated. They were both expressionless and Kris didn't really do a good job in introducing himself. Truthfully, it was a first meeting she did not get alot of impression of him on. She found his other trainee friends Jongin and Chanyeol to be much more friendlier than he was and she didn't expect any special friendship to form. When it was time to go home, she was surprised when Kris handed her his jacket and said, "It's chilly outside so go home with this". Just like that, he left. It wasn't until two days later when Kris texted her, first asking permission if its alright that he got her number from the other Fairytale members (then trainees). Like that, the two got closer.
 
How you interact:
↷ ON STAGE: Just like regular idol friends, they would greet each other with high fives and joke around whenever the two groups meet each other. It wouldn't really get too far since the two are aware of each of their fans, especially EXO's large fanbase. Since Kris doesn't want Jiyeon getting hurt by obsessive fans and neither does he want to be a target for Fairytale's possessive male fans, they usually stray off a couple of feet from one another and doesn't get too close for comfort.

↷ OFF CAMERA: They usually get on the same page since both are the leaders of their own respective groups. To say that their humor is dry is an understatement and usually, these two laughs at jokes only the two of them get. They are naturally close when the groups get together and will usually stray away from the crowd to have some alone time. Kris is very caring towards her and shows it through various ways. He likes letting her borrow jackets and clothes and often times buys her things whenever they are coming home from a different country. When they are apart, they contact one another via kakaotalk and sns, and if they both have enough free time, they call each other and talk. Whenever they meet one another, it's always privately and they don't like going to crowded places. Since they are both very private with their lives, they would rather not be spotted and avoids any scandals that might arise. Although not officially dating, the other members know that they are both very much interested in one another.
