» PERSONALITY

 

Jinnie is extremely bubbly around everyone she meets, instantly being over dramatic about everything she does and trying to gain attention. She gets distracted easily, has a short temper and a 4D personality with a smile that can light up the darkest day. Around her family she is respective and tries to stay calm for her families sake but this usually ends in her bouncing off the walls. Around her group members she is fun and tries to set the mood and be funny. If someone doesn't laugh or scolds her for her crude jokes she becomes easily offended but eventially laughs it off.

Jinnie is horrible at keeping secrets and can't keep shut or stay still for more than 5 minutes and she fidgets 24/7. If she wants something she'll use aegyo to get it and she leaves an amazingly adorable first impression. towards other Trainees she is kind and talks to them, incouraging them to keep working hard like she did to become an idol. She will often eat with them rather than with the rest of Jewelry box. Not because the other members are rude but just because she feels the other Trainees often get put down especially international trainees. To her seniors like 2ne1, Big Bang and Tablo she is respectful and asks for advice often. She is often seen with Lee Hi because the two have quite cheeky personalities. She doesn't get on with Minzy very well because of a strong rivalry through their rapping and dancing. Each always trying to show off in front of the other. 

Jinnie is blunt and honest. If she doesn't get something she wants she will either use aegyo or black mail to get it. She hates to be ignored because that is what happened a lot in her teenage years. So she tends to show off to get attention and is labeled an attention seeker. She is sensitive on the inside and criticism gets to her easily. She tends to spend months holding in all her doughts and tears but eventually breaks and can no longer hold in the tears. Her personality can be very bipolar at times, often her short temper gets the best of her. 

» BACKGROUND

 

Jinnie's family moved to Australia when she was just 6 years old, quickly learning the language, she grew up their knowing little about her heritage back in Korea. She was often bullied by Racist Students and now she stands up against High school bullying in several campaigns to help get teachers/ adults in general to realise the severaty of bullying in schools.  

Before joining YG ENTERTAINMENT Jinnie spent most of her time goofing off in class, getting in trouble and making a fool out of herself. Not like anyone minded a little laugh on a boring day. At the age of 16 Jinnie was scouted by a manager from YG at her school as she was demonstrating her rapping skills. Then asked to demonstate her singing and dancing skills; Jinnie showed that she needed assistance in singing but could deviately dance. The manager then suggested she come to an audition and gave her instructions on a successful audition. After a full month of rehearsing for her audition, she flew back to Korea and the day came when she finally completed a talented series of performances and became a trainee.

All the way from the age of 10 to her debut Jinnie has dyed her hair multiple outrageous colours. She likes to stand out thus using the crazy dyes and hair styles. She had pink hair until the age of 12, purple at 13, half black, half white at 14, green tips at 15 and now she recently for her debut dyed her hair bright red.  She spends the majority of her time with her elder brother Jongwoo despite already having another two elder sisters. Jongwoo and Jinnie have very similar personalities so they get along very well and neither is seen without the other. Jinnie's two older sisters are twins so prefer to spend time together just the two of them this causing Jinnie to feel excluded. Her parents are often away at work so as a child Jongwoo often took care of her. Jinnie was also a little bit of a cat lady over the years she has had a total of 16 cats 5 of them currently living with her at the dorm. A tabby named Chester, a black cat named Slinky, an orange cat named ginger, a scottish fold named Meow Meow and a rag doll named Violet. 

Only recently Jinnie began to descover who she is and reached out only to fall in love with her sunbae IU whom she had been looking up to since the 93 liner's debut back in 2008. Jinnie's life goal has always been to perform on stage with IU. 

Her desire for debuting has only spread and become much larger since she was cut from the original lineup. Causing her to break into a deep and dark depression. But that wasn't going to stop her, now she's not letting anything or anyone stand in her way of achieving her dreams whether that means life...or death.

IU is generally kind, quiet, bubbly and happy. She keeps to herself and has a smile that can brighten up anyone's day. It was recently revealed in an interview that she is Bi-ual. This causing an uproar for netizen's as the innocent country's daughter, was no longer so innocent and religious. It was also revealed that her family had dis-honoured her and she had been living with a close friend for over a year. After this issue she lost her spark and is currently preparing for her comeback after a year's hiatus, to regain her confidence. 

» INTERACTIONS

Jinnie's personality does a complete 360 when she's with IU; she becomes shy, flustered and just generally head over heels for the girl. She quickly developed a crush on the county's daughter falling desperately in love with her. The two get on very well and are sweet, timid, kind and shy towards eachother though it's obvious they are very much in love with one another.
