Full HTML Mode Textareas for HTML Code

Update: There are a large number of pleas for returning to the old toolbar. The toolbar upgrade is due to a security advisory to upgrade to the newest version since the site had been using the old one for the last two years. We would have preferred not to switch otherwise. Because of the security risk, there is no going back to the old toolbar.

Use the layout marketplace for layouts and activate from there. That at least ensures that you'll always have the code you wanted and if anything ever needs changed, it will change everywhere it is installed.

The editor toolbar is one of the few pieces of software that Asianfanfics didn't build itself. Every now and then it needs to be upgraded to keep up with security fixes and browser incompatibilities (the old one didn't work with IE 11 and some versions of Safari and Opera very well). It was also never meant to be used for complex HTML layouts and designs (which is why they're being used in the first place).

Unfortunately, we're also stuck with the other changes and decisions that the editor toolbar developers make which may or may not break how our users have coded things here (ie. they make the decisions on how divs or p's are placed and are also responsible for breaking certain things).

We've made a way for HTML developers and designers to bypass the toolbar completely and just use a plain HTML textarea. This way, the toolbar will never interfere with the code you write.

If you're just a regular writer, continue using the toolbar since only heavy HTML designers are affected by the toolbar upgrades.

You'll notice the new HTML mode links below the toolbar editors. Simply click on those links to toggle the textareas. We'll continue developing the plain text area to make it easier for designers in the future and give you a better visual view of how your code is working. Eventually, we hope to make it easier and better than using the toolbar itself.

If your design is affected in the toolbar, please switch to HTML mode when saving those designs.

hi, what difference is there between ckeditor the site is using and tinymce?
i've heard that tinymce are more reliable but i wouldn't know, of course.
i've seen many sites used the latter so i thought i'd ask.

Hi, I hope you are still working on it too, because we can't use the site properly when using our phones. What's the point of having a button "mobile" if it doesn't change anything and it stays on the "computer users" version?
Thanks a lot for your help and keep going 'cause it looks like you have a lot of work to do when reading all the comments!
