For Users Experiencing the New Story Bug

UPDATE 3/10: It looks like the people experiencing this issue are exclusively using the old AFF layout. The problem has now been identified and has been resolved thanks to the comments below. Thanks for all the info! -Admin

Anyone who is experiencing the problem where you cannot post a new story, or it acts as if it successfully posted but is nowhere to be seen on your story index page - please provide us with the following:

  • the browser(s) you are using to attempt this
  • which of the text editors you are using
  • how long this issue has been occuring for you
  • a screen capture of what exactly you are posting (as this may be the issue, but we're unsure...and don't be afraid to send us something you might think , we're adults here at Helper ^^)
  • any/all steps you've taken to fix the problem (such as clearing your cache/cookies, switching browsers, logging in and out of AFF, etc)
  • and other information you think may prove useful

Please leave this info in the comments below, as we are trying to figure out what the common denominator is with this bug. Thank you!

I have a problem. I have edited a chapter I already posted (but was put on hide) in AFF. I really want to get my chapter back.
Browser: Google Chrome
Text editors: CKEditor 4.6.2
How long this issue has been occuring for you: Just now. Yesterday it works just fine but just now when I want to update the new chapter, the problem occurs.

Note: The Chapter's name was Done // Blueez **it's a graphic shop**
NOTE: I really hope you could fix this problem since it's a graphic shop and I plan on open the new batch this 20th June which is soon :(

Hi, it's not with a new story but an old one. We updated after over a year and completely changed everything, but it still says it was updated on Jan 18, 2016. What should we do? I tried editing it with both Chrome and Mozilla but it still is there ;;

I got a problem when i use opera mini. Everytime i want to log in it says that my username and my password will show this "The input value must be between 6-20 characters".

I have a problem. I have edited a chapter I already posted (but was put on hide) in AFF and then when I opened my account today, I noticed that the chapter I have written was missing and the spot it was on before had been replaced by a double/copy of a pre-existing chapter which was also put on hide. I really want to get my chapter back.

How long this issue has been occuring for you: I happened to one of my stories before but I luckily had a back up. But not it happened again and I don't have a back up cause I wrote it straight on AF:

NOTE: I put another chapter with the same name today, as an effort to start from the beginning and rewrite the chapter again , but I really rather have the old back

I am using the "blue theme" not sure whether it's old or new. I can subscribe and bookmark stories but I can't save them offline. It has been 3 days, I think. I hope this problem will be fixed soon. Thankyou! :)

I am using the old AFF layout. It sometimes happens and some stories with background pics can cover up the texts and I can't read it. I hope that this will be fixed soon :) FIGHTING! :)

Please help. Whenever I try to access asianfanfics in internet explorer, google chrome and fire fox my computer freezes and I get a message that a long running script from asianfanfics is causing the problem. The strange thing is this only started happening in past couple days. I have also tried clearing the cache/cookies and re-setting internet explorer multiple times, but it doesn't work.

Hi...I'm using chrome, and the thing is, I already uploaded my story called 'sleepless nights' and uploaded the 1st chapter as well. I then wanted to make a small change but the change wasn't saved. So, I copied my work into work, deleted my story, n tried to reupload it again, but it said that I triggered a security thing and gave me a Cloudfare or Cloudflare ID. Pls help me! Do you need the ID? Or any other info? I shall provide anything. Thanks!

oooh... so this has been happening like for the fourth time... but the fourth was actually very disturbing and someone actually logged into my off account and had the audacity to change my username, like who does that, and the sadder part is... I lost my entire story because of this that's happening. And ,y
latest story called #The Contract#.... And I can't find my story anymore.... so in deactivated ,y account with a flippin heavy heart... how the hell do you prevent this.... DID I ,ENTION IT WAS MY FOURTH TIME????!!!

i am using opera mini and opera mini theme is not working properly because unable to comment...if only use old theme then i can comment.
