Personality:

Jaeshin is highly...insecure. It hadn't started like that. He used to be confident when he was a child. However, due to childhood bullying, he became quiet and introverted. He's shy and quiet around new people and only gives a small smile. With friends, he's more relaxed and funny, but he's still a bit awkward. He always agrees with others, afraid of conflict. He bites his tongue, too scared to speak up, and sits quietly. He doesn't have a bad temper and tries to think logicly when he gets annoyed. He likes to keep peace.

Of course, Jaeshin isn't an angel. Although he's peaceful and calm, he has a....bad side. He likes to party. It's something he does late at night after a stressful day. He goes to gay clubs and lets go as he dances in the crowd. He likes the loud noise and the bodies pressed against him. It's the only time where he forgets about what people think of him. He goes to the clubs so much, that he's made friends that are closer to him than his other ones. He keeps this side of him hidden from others and is careful not to reveal it.
Background:

He was born on October 12 1993. His father and mother were in the middle class and they had no money problems. He had an older brother, Jung Minhyuk and 3 years later gifted with two younger, twin sisters, Bomi & Ami. He was closer to his brother as he grew up and he learned a lot of things from his brother. Since they only had a 2-year , he stuck to his brother in school. Although his brother was tough and athletic, he was chubbier and was bullied endlessly for that. Middle school was the toughest time in his life. His brother tried to protect him, but he couldn't be there all the time. It wasn't until high school where he started looking better.
On-stage persona: 

• Shy Puppy
• Onstage -- He puts a lot of emotion into his performance. If it's a ballad he gets so into the sad song that he sometimes starts tearing up. If it's a happier song, he shows a brighter smile. He is less awkward onstage.
• On-Screen -- In variety shows and interviews, he usually only says a few lines. He tries to force himself to talk, but he comes out sounding awkward. He usually just gives a small, sheepish smile.

Lee Taemin / 20 / SHINee member / Very bubbly and cute, but can also be serious and mature in important times. He's helpful and kind. / They met during Jae's trainee years. He found him in the dance room, practicing hard and gave him tips to dance better. / Taemin is a really helpful friend. They meet up and talk a few times and Taemin helps him a lot with his dancing.

Jung Daehyun / 20 / BAP / Hungry guy. He's mischievious and witty, always has two put his 2 cents in. Very playful. / They met in a cafe. Jae gathered up all of courage to go up to him as a fan. Daehyun was nice to him and they started talking. / Daehyun is really playful. Jaeshin is always laughing when he's around him.
Best friend:

Lee Seungyeol / 22 / Infinite / He's childish and always trying to have fun. He's blunt and says whatever comes to his mind. Sometimes he's a bit harsh, but at least he tells the truth. / They met backstage once, but Jaeshin was too afraid to talk to him. However, a few days later they met at a club and Jaeshin was busy grinding up on some cute random guy. Since then, they've been club buddies. / Jaeshin is relaxed with him and all of his walls go down, automatically. They are really dorky together. Even outside the club, they stay close and talk to each other.
Love interest:

Bang Minsoo (CAP) / 21 / Teen Top / He's a natural born leader. He's mature and protective while also having fun. He's also really sweet and romantic with the one he loves and a bit jealous sometimes. / There were a bunch of bands at a charity event. They performed and then volunteered at booths. Most of the bands bonded together with one another, but CAP took a particular interest in the shy boy. / Before they get together, CAP is always following around Jae, much to the latter's annoyance. When they do get together, CAP is always smothering the boy with hugs and kisses. He pushes the other out of his shell. They're a relaxed couple that would rather stay on the couch and watch movies, then go out to a fancy dinner.
Back-up love interest:

Bang Yongguk / 23 / BAP / He looks serious and manly onscreen, but backstage he's really cute and dorky. He loves to play around he's really sweet and cute. He's also really smart and open-minded. / Daehyun introduced Jaeshin to him. Jae started to fanboy uncontrollably. / Not only do they share kisses and hugs, they also have very intellectual conversations.

How they decided to become an idol: He's always loved music. From when his mom put him in Violin classes, he was always fascinated by the music. He loved the melody and he started singing his own made-up lyrics. It was his brother who pushed him to audition. His sisters also auditioned with him and became back-up dancer.
Training experience: They had a few trainee friends, but he stayed away from most of them, because of their competitive attitudes. He was always getting scolded by his instructors because of his lack of talent. He wasn't exactly the best dancer but he wasn't the only one. It was in singing class that he got yelled at the most. The instructor saw his talent, but said he'd never make it as an idol if he didn't put emotion in his voice.
