Personality Traits: Fun loving, peaceful, laidback, forgiving, touchy

Personality: "It's all cool, bro." Is probably the most descriptive quote, ever, from Joey. He's sort of like a hippy. He doesn't want to cause conflicts or get in the middle of them; he prefers to kind of just let the conflicts work themselves out. He likes to tease people a lot, but not to evoke negative reactions. He's the fun guy that you can virtually never piss off, because he's always just cool with everything. He does what he wants, you do what you want, as long as it's not hurting anybody, you're free to live your life! He's almost literally that way. He's kind of just like a mellow, no emotional highs or lows type of guy. It's hard to get him sad, angry, excited...he's just generally content. But he can get nervous...he just doesn't act it.

However, he is a bit...touchy. With others. Skinship is so his thing. He'll stop if you tell him to, but seriously. He really likes touching, hugging, cuddling. He'd be happy with a nice Sunday inside, just peaceful snuggling with whatever, whoever. But, despite his normal calm, happy approach in life, once pissed off, you'd best run. He's not easily pissed off. But things can piss him off. And once he's mad, all remnants of hippy, anything-hugging Joey is gone. Welcome Satan's blood son, who can probably flip three people at once and break some bricks while he's at it. His voice will scare the crap out of you and boom all around the room. Around people he doesn't like (such as his biological mom) he'll just act courteous and bland. His biological mom is a whole different realm: he's a bit of a sadist when it comes to her. He hates her and is always thinking like the demon him when around her, mentions of her, etc.

Background: Joey was born in the city of liberty and overpriced souvenirs to a somewhat dysfunctional family. Surprise, when Joey was six, his dad found out that he was the only biological son he had, while his two other siblings were from another man. Several court battles and a divorce later, Joey was put into his father's custody, seeing as his mother was steadily dating the other man, anyways, and all that other legal junk. At seven, his dad and he moved to Seoul to live with his grandparents. He saw his mother twice a year, but didn't really think much of the visits. He much preferred his appa, halbeoji, and halmeoni. They were a lot nicer and understood everything he said.

His dad remarried when Joey was eleven to someone Joey would consider to be the most beautiful, most kind, and most fantastic woman in the world. She was pretty and stylish, but didn't mind playing tag with him or getting messy when they did crafts. When his grandparents passed away (he was thirteen), she was the mother figure he needed. Even with his grades not being the best, she helped him. She, of course, yelled at him for being messy, staying up too late, etc, but she was probably one of the best things ever to happen to Joey. When he discovered that he loved performing for others - singing, dancing, rapping - she helped him and drove him to almost every audition he went to. When he got into Cube when he was 18, he told her first. She was his umma, not the other woman - who he only saw once a year by then - who was only his biological mother.

Style: Super casual: hoodies, shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops. If he's cold, he'll wear simple jeans, a long sleeved shirt, and some hoodies. No big deal. He doesn't layer much unless it's necessary. For everyday life, why would you need to look super snazzy?

Personality: Someone who is maybe a bit tsundere? Coldish? Or maybe awkward and doesn't show emotions well. I dunno, I really like tsundere and laid back guys together. The person can also be a hater of skinship...or secretly a lover of skinship. SOMEONE TSUNDERE. Awkward, not able to show emotions well, the quiet type guy...he might like exercising, he might not. Though I think he should be a moderately athletic guy... Well, anyone that will go well with Joey without being exactly the same as him should be fine~

How you met: met during trainee years. Joey would try to say hi and whatnot, but the guy would kind of just stare blankly at him, like, "what." Joey brushed it off, thinking that he was just socially awkward. Then, when stuck in the same group, Joey tries to befriend him more.

Interactions: Joey is constantly trying to get this guy to be friendly, and gets kind of annoyed. "It's all cool, bro" isn't exactly said much amongst them, because why the hell is this guy ignoring Joey? He's just trying to be friendly because they live together. Okay, fine, Joey'll leave him alone and just relax, chill, hang out with other people. But then...Mr. Awkward Tsundere will just stare at him. So Joey will think it's an invite to try and befriend him. So, basically, Mr. Awkwrd tsundere is awkward and starey and Joey is slightly unnerved.

Trainee Years: 2 years in Cube, 4 years in SM

Trainee Life: Joey was originally in Cube, and was set to be B2ST's leader. They were all set to debut as a seven member group, but late 2008, they dropped him from the group and Doojoon became the leader. He felt sad, but figured that they had bigger plans for him. Halfway through 2009, he was transferred over to SMEntertainment. He watched B2ST debut and called the members to congratulate them. He didn't feel too jealous; after all, he had just been transferred into one of the Big Three. He spent most of his time at SM working on his dancing, rapping, singing, and looks. He didn't get plastic surgery, but was forced to diet in addition to his workouts.

After spending three years at SM, he started to feel a little bit forlorn. He was supposed to be the leader of his own group, yet here he was, in another company and groupless. He felt a bit depressed for a while, but when he heard that he'd be part of a group - SM and Woollim's first collab - he worked harder than ever. He also fanboyed over Woollim - Nell, oh my gosh, and Hoya!!! His singing needed work, as his deep voice could get a little bit monotonous at times, and he didn't have good breath control. His dancing was worked on, too, as that was the place he wanted to work on most.
