raymond was born at the metropolitan coty of coventry, his father was a composer while his mother was a singer. unlike his sister who showed her interest towards vocal, ray showed his interest towards dancing. although he tought himself rapping and beatboxing because his voice was low and he thought that he'd do better if he can rap too. he took several types of dancing classes, like hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, and even ballet. when his sister got accepted into sm and his family moved to korea, he was a bit jealous of her. after two years, his sister tranfered from sm to j2 and ray also tried to audition in j2.
