+ she's totally the a type; have you watched the last episode of sbs mtv diary: nuest? aaron said that he's the only a in the group and in korea, blood type a is timid and midly mannered. that's just so jieun. the girl is shy and easily embarrassed. you would see her alone in the training room with her ears plugged by the earbuds and her body moved with the flow of the rhythm while the other trainees were having chit-chat with each other. but when it comes to dancing, she's the total opposite from her off-stage self. why? because not only her body follows the beats but she also let her emotions out. she express her emotions through dancing.

+ jieun born in a close and sweet family. her father is a choreographer and her mother is a music teacher, guess where her talents came from. her parents got married in a young age, her father was only 19 while her mother was only 18. they got married because apparently her mother was pregnant, and being the responsible guy her father is, he married her right away. not caring what the people said. it was hard of course, being a parent in such a young age. a few months later, her brother born and her parents were happy to have a baby boy in their live, even though her father had another mouth to be fed but he didn't mind.
two years later, jieun was born into the family. her presence made the family cound't be anymore happy. her parents basically said that it's just the happiest time of their life to have such cute angels running around the house. with both of her parents are musicians (you could say that), her brother was the first to show his interest towards music. he would follow his father to his dance studio and whatch his dance or teaching. and being a curious little girl she was, she followed what her brother did. she asked her father to teach her how to dance at the age of eight.
she was only twelve years old when her brother got accepted into pledis and became a trainee. at first she didn't mind it. she really didn't think that her brother would debut. until one day at late november, her brother came home and gave them a surprising good news. he told them that he's going to be debut soon and that he would be in a livestream. she felt jealous of her brother, but she didn't show it.
she watched all of the livestreams, practically didn't miss one episode. she saw that her brother improved a lot. she just wished that she could be as good as him, choreographing for her own group. though her mother is a music teacher and a good singer also, she didn't get the gen from her, she thought that her mother's gen of beautiful voice is taken by her brother. she can't sing as good as her brother, let alone her mother. but she still can play some music instruments like guitar and piano, but still she's jealous of her brother's voice.
her brother once offered her to join him as a trainee in pledis, but she refused. she said that she doesn't want to get into the entertainment because of him, she wanted to be known for her own self. until one day she heard that a new entertainment held an audition and she went for a try.

+ after jihoon got accepted in pledis, the whole family moved to seoul. jieun found that a new entertaiment held an open audition so she went and try. she danced to 'chris brown - i should have kissed you' (x) and sang 'song jieun - it's cold' (x).
because of her shy personality, she rarely talked to the other trainees. she would rather practicing her dance or singing. she may not have the best voice but she try to always practice. she would get scolded by her vocal trainer, not being able to reach the notes, out of rhymes, etc. but being the hard-worker girl she is, she never give up. even though sometimes she thought how her brother handle the trainee life and she once thought of quiting, but then she thinks again if she quits now, there wouldn't be a second chance. practicing until 3 in the morning, lacks of sleep, got scolding from teachers because she slept in class, all those but she didn't want to quit, not now, never.

+ 4d; the term fits wonwoo very well. despite on his cold look, he's actually a weird boy inside. he would turn from a cool guy to a dork in 0.7 second. he could be clingy sometimes. he's loud, confident, and simple. the total opposite from jieun. he's funny, he likes to tease everyone, whether he knows them well or not. cheesy, jieun doesn't like cheesy guys so that he would using cheesy lines, earning a smacks on his forehead (strange because mostly jihoon smacks wonwoo). but he's a really good friend. a good listener, a shoulder to lean on, another caring brother.

+ "this is my sister"; jihoon brought her to the practice room a couple of days before 17tv season 1 started. he introduce her to the members of seventeen. being the quiet girl she is, she only said her name and the rest she just nodded her head. when jihoon was in the other room, jieun was just standing there awkwardly, didn't know what to do. wonwoo approached her and poked her cheek, "you're really quiet just like your brother." she chuckled because it was true. wonwoo grinned because he thought that he just made her chuckle.
