 CHEN, Jin

Hello, my name is sylvia

❀ Overview

character name: Chen, Jin
nickname(s): Gin. not long after jin moved to the united states and started attending junior high there, she realized native english speakers (who are basically her neighbors, her schoolmates and teachers) always mis-pronounce her name as "gin". Once her best friend jokingly said this name suits jin's personality - gin often looks colorless and gives a false image of bland; only people who tried it know how it falls into the category of hard liquor.
international age: 23

birthday: june, 6, 1990
birthplace: born in Ningbo, zhejiang province, china; moved to detroit, michigan, usa at 12
ethnicity: full chinese, but belongs to the korean minority group (instead of 'han', the most common racial group in china)
languages: chinese (fluent), english (fluent), spanish (very basic level), korean (intermediate level)

❀ Outside

ulzzang: Han hye yeon (kite)
backup ulzzang: park young hee (honestly, young hee is too fasionable for this character, i'd much prefer hyun bi hyul to be the backup ulzzang, except i can barely find any picture of her online...)

appearance: (X)(X)(X)
height: 170.5CM
weight: 56kg

style: JIN'S CHOICE OF CLOTHES IS OFTEN ON THE BOYISH SIDE. SHE HAS A PAIR OF LONG, LEAN LEGS, WHICH SHE TAKES PRIDE IN. THEREFORE, SHE LOVE WEARING SKINNY JEANS/DENIM WHICH CONTOUR THE LENGTHY SHAPE OF HER LEGS WELL. SHE USUALLY TOPS IT OFF WITH ANKLE BOOTS (X). AS FOR THE TOP, JIN PREFERS SIMPLE-DESIGNED LONG SLEEVE/SHORT SLEEVE/SLEEVELESS SHIRTS THAT HANG LOOSELY AROUND HER BODY, SO THAT "HER LACK OF CURVE COULD BE SECRETIVELY COVERED UP". WHEN THE WEATHER PERMITS, SHE'LL ADD ON HER FAVORITE HOODED LEATHER JACKET TO COMPLETE HER OUTFIT (X).

EVEN THOUGH JIN OFTEN WEARS SIMPLE-DESIGNED OUTFIT, SHE KNOWS HOW TO ADD MORE FUN TO HER OUTFIT WITH SIMPLE YET CLASSY ACCESSORIES, SUCH AS EARRINGS, NECKLACE, BRACELETS, RINGS AND HAT/CAP/BEANIE (OH YES, SHE HAS A THING FOR WHAT SHE CAN WEAR ON HER HEAD, EXACTLY THE REASON THAT SHE WANTS HER JACKET WITH A HOODIE). HER ACCESSORIES ARE OFTEN SILVERY OR MADE FROM LEATHER. THEY ARE NICE LOOKING ENOUGH YET NOT TOO EXTRAVAGANT OR EXAGGERATING, JUST ONE OR TWO PIECES THAT MATCH WELL WITH HER OUTFIT (X) (X).

extra: JIN WAS OBSESSED WITH SILVERY EARRINGS IN HIGH SCHOOL. SHE GOT 3 PIERCINGS ON THE LEFT EAR LOBE AND 2 ON THE RIGHT, WITH AN ADDITIONAL PIERCING ON THE UPPER PORTION OF HER RIGHT EAR. HOWEVER, AS HER PASSION FOR EARRINGS WORE OFF NOW, SHE BARELY EARS MORE THAN TWO EARINGS AT THE SAME TIME. IN ADDITION, SHE HAS A VERY SMALL TATOO OF A FEATHER BEHIND HER LEFT EAR (X). BUT SINCE SHE HAIR IS ALWAYS THICK ENOUGH TO COVER THe TATOO UP, FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT.

❀ Inside

character traits: caring, functional, private, persistent, LOYAL

personality: jin's personality is closely associated with her life experience, please cross refer to the background section for a more thorough depiction of her character traits.

In general, jin is very mature, thoughtful and independent for a girl of her age. she used to be a bookworm, and is still somewhat nerdy nowadays, but is much better in terms of socialising with others.

jin's mature and independent personality was mostly attributable to her not so pleasant junir high experience. when she first moved to the states and attended a new school, the lack of fluency in english and the cultural difference resulted in jin being labeled as a nerdy weirdo and eventually became a social outcast in school. in an effort to assimilate herself into the new school and new culture, jin tried all she can to "be friendly and understanding" towards her classmates, and was forced to pick up the skill of observing and reading from others' behavior so that she could give favorable responses. it was during this process that jin learnt to keep her opinions and true feelings to herself, especially in cases when she did not necessarily agree to her classmates, just so she can avoid trouble or conflicts with others. she also started keeping the bad news and the emotional trauma she's experiencing away from her parents, as she did not want them to worry too much about her on top of their own struggle to fit into a new life. nowadays, even though jin is a lot more open and learnt to give constructive critisims, she remains as a private person and does not let her true emotions or thoughts, especially the negative ones show easily.

the painful struggle of avoiding being a social outcast in junior high was brought to an end by jin's best friend, jisu, and a group of dance crew friends she met through jisu (see background section below for more detailed information). these friends meant a lot to jin as they were the ones who showed understanding towards jin, caring about her and appreciating her hard work within the dance crew. jin has always be grateful felt lucky that she got those friends who helped her out of her emotional trauma and restored her confidence, and she thinks she should "give back“ by providing the same kind of help and emotional support to others who need it. with this mentality, she showed much care and understanding towards other trainees who are experiencing emotional distress. since she is also one of the older ones among the trainees, she tends to play the role of the big sister and never hesitates to help others out.

jin's experience also taught jin how important her friends are to her and how true friends do not come easily. therefore, jin always treasures her friends. she keeps a good contact with her dance crew friends back in the states, while keeping a good relationship with new friends she made in korea. however, being loyal to friends also means she is more likely to get hurt if any of her trusting friend turned his/her back on jin.

finally, having lived in a boarding school ever since an age of 12, especially with the first two years spent without any friends who could help her forced jin to take on all kinds of "survival skills", ranges from small things such as changing light bulbs, cooking, and fixing toilet to more complex tasks such as fixing minor computer software errors, assembling furnitures, and fixing basic car engine issues. she also learnt the importance of maintaining a calm mindset whenever in trouble, as well as how to be resourceful with vast amount of information online. in one word, she is amazingly functional, especially for a girl of her age.

finally, jin is a persistent and hardworkign person when it comes to work. it doesn't have to be 100% perfect, but it has to show her best effort. as she says, "i'd better be cursing myself for having to work this hard now, than regretting for not giving my best shot in the future".

likes:

sleeping - she claims she finds her inner peace in sleep, while it's actually her way of escaping from all the troubles or even the thought of troubles going through her mind

reading novels, especially detective novels and thrillers; favorite novel: a game of thrones series
watching movies, especially actions and thrillers
listening to kyungsoo singing and watching him smiling (even though she rarely got the chance to nowadays after EXO'S DEBUT)

dislikes:

 not getting enough sleep
sweet food except fruit or ice cream
being talked about behind her back
arrogant people who think the world revolve around them
 peer pressure

 Playing cello
SKETCHING/LIFE DRAWING
can WHISTLE very well, whistles WHENEVER SHE'S IN A GOOD MOOD; favorite whistling song: trouble maker
BITE AND HER LOWER LIP WHEN SHE'S NERVOUS

jin has the habit of sweet talking to her girl friends who she finds cute and adorable, which she picked up from some of her dance crew friends back in the states; she sometimes goes y, but only when she's with very close friends that she's most comfortable with

trivia:

jIN HAS ZERO RESISTANCE TO PEOPLE WITH CHUBBY CHEEKS, REGARDLESS OF GUYS OR GIRLS, BABY/KIDS OR ADULTS.
WITH NO PRIOR LOVE EXPERIENCE, JIN IS PRETTY DENSE WHEN IT COMES TO ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP; SHE'S ALSO EXTRA SHY AROUND GUYS, TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE COOL AND CONFIDENT USUAL SELF

has very low tolerance for alcohol, usually fees light headed after half can of beer; tends to be clingy and throws random kisses when drunk

is very ticklish, especially aounrd waist and behind ears.

always wishes she could be more humorous, yet 99 out of 100 jokes she tells are goofy

JIN KNOWS ABOUT asianfanfics.com from her best friend in high school when she was introduced to kpop by her. jin has been a loyal reader of the website since then

jin is secretively a kaisoo shipper; not in a crazy fangirl way, just thought the interaction between her two favorite dongsaengs is very adorable. plus, let's admit that they do look fantastic standing next to each other.

❀ Biography

background: JIN NEVER THOUGHT OF BEING AN IDOL WHEN SHE WAS A KID. WITH HER FATHER BEING A COLLEGE linguistic PROFESSOR AND HER MOTHER BEING A HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER, JIN LEANT THAT BOOKS ARE HER BEST FRIENDS EVER SINCE SHE CAN REMEMBER. in school, jin ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE A MODEL STUDENTS and was pround of herself being a STRAIGHT a student. SHE HAS ALSO INHERITED HER PARENTS' TALENT IN LANGUAGES. HER FAVORITE AND BEST SUBJECTS IN SCHOOL ARE MATH AND ENGLISH, AND WANTED TO BE A MATHEMATICIAN SOME DAY. jin was all nerdy and hardworking then.

IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. JIN ONCE HEARD A CELLO CONCERTO OVER THE RADIO, AND WAS OBSESSED WITH THE DEEP YET MELODIOUS SOUND OF CELLO. SHE SOON GOT A QUARTER CELLO AS HER BIRTHDAY GIFT AND STARTED CELLO LESSIONS AFTER BUGGING HER PARENTS FOR WEEKS. IN ADDITION, HER PARENTS GOT HER TO LEARN KARATE, AS THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL FOR HER OWN SAFETY.

AT AN AGE OF 12, JIN'S FATHER WAS OFFERED A FELLOWSHIP TO TEACH AND CONDUCT RESEARCH IN ASIAN LANGUAGES BY A COLLEGE IN THE DETROIT METROPOLITAN AREA. THE WHOLE FAMILY MOVED TO DETROIT THEN. WITH THE BENIGN INTENTION OF PROVIDING JIN A BEST LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, HER PARENTS SENT HER TO A PRIVATE SCHOOL THAT'S 3 HOURS DRIVE FROM HOME (SO JIN HAD TO LIVE IN BOARDING SCHOOL). HER SCHOOLS CONSISTS OF MOSTLY WHITE KIDS AND AMERICAN AFRICAN KIDS, WITH A SMALL GROUP OF KIDS WITH HISPANIC HERITAGE AND VERY FEW ASIANS. SOON JIN'S EXCITEMENT of joining a new school WAS GONE, AS SHE NOTICED HOW "SPECIAL" SHE WAS, IN A NOT SO PLEASANT WAY.

EVEN THOUGH HER CLASSMATES WERE NICE ENOUGH TO BE POLITE TO HER, JIN COULD SENSE THEIR CURIOUS LOOKS ON HER. THEY OFTEN THREW SECRETIVE GLANCES AT HER, WISPERING AMONG ONE ANOTHER WITH GIGGLES WHICH WERE OBVIOUSLY DIRECTED AT HER, OR STARING AT HER AS IF SHE'S AN ANIMAL CAGED IN ZOO. THE FACT JIN'S FROM CHINA WITH SLIGHTLY ACCENTED ENGLISH DID NOT HELP AT ALL. SHE HAD HEARD OF PEOPLE MAKING FUN OF HER ACCENT A FEW TIMES. EVEN THOUGH JIN'S ENGLISH WAS CONSIDERED VERY ADVANCEd AMONG HER PEERS BACK IN CHINA, HER FLUENCY LEVEL WAS NOWHERE TO BE COMPARED TO HER CLASSMATES WHO ARE NATIVE SPEAKERS. THE CULTURAL DIFFERENCE MADE THINGS WORSE. JIN BECAME INCREASINGLY INTROVERTED DURING HER TWO YEARS OF JUNIOR HIGH, WAS AFRAID TO TALK TO PEOPLE IN THE FEAR OF BEING MADE FUN OF WITH HER ACCENT, AND PUT ALL HER FOCUS ON SCHOOL WORK IN THE HOPE TO REGAIN HER STATUS OF THE TOP STUDENT IN THE SCHOOL. HOWEVER, THE HARDER SHE STUDIED, THE MORE OTHER STUDENTS SAW HER AS THE NERDY TYPE AND UNPOPULAR TYPE. SHE WAS ALIENATED IN SCHOOL, EVEN THOUGH THE OTHER STUDENTS DID NOT DO IT INTENTIONALLY. JIN FELT INCREASINGLY LONELY.

luckily, when jin was half way through the freshman year in senior high, she met a lively and bubbly korean girl who became her best friend later on. the girl caught jin sketching some life figure once (the string orchestra is not well organized in her school as students are much more interested in sports, aka football instead of music, and there's no karate club either, leaving jin no choice but to get rid of boredom by drawing random things came into sight). the girl, jisu also likes sketching, but can't draw life figure that well. they noon made friends as jin found jisu's chubby baby face and warm personality very adorable. after knowing each other better, jisu begged jin into drawing some of jisu's favorite kpop idols for her as birthday present. from that onwards, jin was bombarded with all sorts of kpop news and gossip, and songs by various idol groups as well as korean variety programs. jin soon fell in love with the fast beat melodies and whole vigorous-dance-while-singing concept. with that, she started learning some dance movements with jisu. her super flexibility and excellent body coordination as a result of years of karate training all became evident advantages.

jisu was very surprised about how fast jin progresses and refused to believe she's a beginner in dance. with excitement, she introduced jin to her dance crew who happened to be recruiting new members so the small team could have enough head count to participate in a coming competition. jin was fast approved by jin's dance crew members, as the team was not famous at all and couldn't really find anyone else. the preparation was challenging and exausting, yet it make jin's life much more enjoyable as she now had something to work for besides studying, and she actually like all the other members on the team and became good friends with them. even though the team stopped at the second round selection in that competition, jin stayed with the team, practiced dances, improved her skills, participated in more competitions, and most importantly, hangout with her new friends who she could share her thoughts with and do all sorts of crazy things with.

the rest of the time till her graduation from high school was the best time jin's had in the states. it was as if jin suddenly found a new meaning to her life. jin treasured this new hobby, and put in all her passion and effort into dancing. she was like a sponge absorbing water nonstop. despite her height, she can do flips, upside down turns and blocking pretty well. as the entire dance crew worked hard and gained experience through competitions, they gradually became better known in the regions. definitely not the top team out there, but they've earned themselves quite some followers and fans. the acknowledgement the crew received from the audience/fans restored jin's confidence in herself (which was almost crushed during her junior high). she was also taught how to dress up to best present herself ("the legs" as stated by jisu), and picked up some fine or not so fine fasion sense from other crew members. with all these changes brought to her life, she appreciated her friends' accompany very much, and thus were very loyal to her friends.

besides the dance skills and fasion sense, jin also picked up the love for kpop under the influence of her friends, jisu in particular. it was also her who ENCOURAGED JIN TO BECOME A TRAINEE WHEN JIN WAS APPROACHED BY AN S.M. SCOUT.

❀ Idol

stage name: gin
stage persona: gin the intoxicate
soundalike: yubin (wonder girls)

singing: 2 - IN SPITE OF HER YEARS OF PLAYING CELLO AND WELL TRAINED EARS, SHE IS SIMPLY TERRIBLE IN SINGING. SHE COULD ALWAYS TELL HOW MUCH SHE IS OFF BY, BUT HER VOICE JUST CAN'T HIT THE RIGHT PITCH. IN ADDITION, HER VOICE RANGE IS A LIMITED LOW TO LOW-MEDIUM, MAKING IT EVEN MORE DIFFICULT FOR HER TO SING A GIRL'S SONG.
rapping: 7.5 - PARTICULARLY GOOD AT FAST RAPPING LONG SENTENCES WITH UPS AND DOWN IN TONES; HAS A GOOD MASTERY OF BREATHING TECHNIqueS; STRONG IN BOTH CHINESE AND ENGLISH (SHE WORKED HARD BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL AND SUCCESSFULLY GOT RID OF HER ACCENT) RAPPING, WEAKER IN KOREAN RAPPING WITH SLIGHT ACCENT

dancing: 9 - SPECIALIZE IN BREAK DANCE, GOOD AT UPSIDE DOWN TURNS AND FLIPS (FORWARD, BACKWARD, SIDE TO SIDE), has A STRONG FLAVOR OF HIPPY STREET DANCE IN HER STYLE; GOOD AT FREESTYLE/IMPROMPTU; HAS A WEAKNESS IN Y DANCE AS JIN FINDS IT AWKWARD TO DO Y WAVES OR ING WITH HER MERE B-CUPS.

stage personality: well known among those who are into astrology and zodiac, geminis often manifest themselves with dual-personalities, especially those with a blood type of ab, just like jin. OPPOSED to her calm and soothing self off stage, JIN has a strong presence during performances. her powerful yet smooth dance movements are always eye-catching. same goes to her fast rapping with that deep voice which sometimes gets even huskier on stage.

with much experience in on-stage performance from numerous dance competitions and performances, jin also knows how to engage the audience fairly well. SHE LOVES ADDING A BIT E AND THERE, SUCH AS FLYING KISSES AND PLAYFUL SMIRKS, AND OFTEN GETS COMFORTABLE ENOUGH TO REACH OUT TO THOSE SITTING IN THE FRONT ROWS TO EXTEND HER INVITATION FOR THEM TO ENJOY THE FUN TOGETHER WITH HER, intoxicating everyone with her unique charms.

on a side note, jin is also a good team player, knowing exactly when to pop out and take the stage, and when to stay a low profile for the other members to shine, thus enhancing the overall stage for the group. even during talk shows, from time to time, she shows some quick wits for difficult questions by giving humorous answers that successfully dodge the trick hidden in the questions.   both abilities were developed through her painful experience back in junior high, when she tried everything to assimilate into the school.

trainee history: JIN WAS APPROACHED BY AN S.M. SCOUT, who BY INCIDENT watched JIN'S impromptu performance IN AN OPEN-GROUND CLUB EVENT IN LOS ANGELS. AT THAT TIME, THE crew is ENJOYING a CLUB TRIP IN L.A. FOR celebrating jin and jisu's graduation from high school. JIN TOOK A DARE THAT REQUIRED HER TO PRETEND TO BE A GUY AND PERFORM A BOY-STYLE BREAK DANCE ON STAGE IN FRONT OF HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE, FOLLOWED BY A Y POLE DANCE (WHICH WAS MEANT TO BE EMBARRASSING TO JIN, SINCE SHE HARDLY DO Y GIRL DANCE WITH THE CREW). THE PURPOSE OF THE DARE WAS TO CONTRAST THE TWO VERY DIFFERENT styles SHOWCASED IN TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT DANCES.

WITH THE HELP OF A TINY BIT OF ALCOHOL, JIN BECAME LIGHT-HEADED AND TOOK THE DARE WITH BOLD MOVEMENTS. THE DANCE TURNED OUT REALLY WELL. HER ABILITY TO SHOWCASE BOTH HER MASCULINE AND FEMININE SIDES WITH MESMORISING CONTRAST IN STYLES IMPRESSED THE S.M. SCOUT, WHO HAPPENED TO BE ENJOYING THE CLUB EVEN with his friends. jin initially hesitated ABOUT THE OFFER, but was later persuaded AND ENCOURAGED by jisu TO AT LEAST GIVE it A TRY, "then you can REGRET OR APPRECIATE IT LATER". JIN gave it a serious thought. she ADMITED that she does LOVE KPOP, AND ALSO REALIZED THAT dancing HAS BECAME an inevitable part of her life. THEREFORE, SHE TOOK THE SCOUT'S OFFER AND went through the audition with the mentality that she had nothing to lose anyway. it turned out the judges seemed to like her break dancing, and were particularly interested in her black belt in karate and her being multi-lingual. in the end, jin was offered an opportunity to become a trainee.

jin's parents approved of jin's decision with one condition: jin has to stay with her aunt (her mother's cousin who lives in korea), and must continue with college education till she graduate with a bachelor's degree. jin's parents reached an agreement with s.m., and jin went to korea a few weeks after the contract signing. during the first year in korea, jin cramed korean as she was literally at kindergarden level before then. she also took the time to apply for colleges in korea and started training classes, with a focus in dance and rap.

jin really tried to push her limit as a trainee. first of all, her training time is very limited considering how she still had to attend university during the day and deal with school work whenever she's not practicing rapping or dancing. even though she was studying the subject she's best at (aka, math) and she was very efficient and effective when it comes to study, she found it challenging to balance her school work and trainee life. she was always exhausted by the end of the day. there were also times when she thought of giving up, but jisu and her dance crew friends' encouragement, the support she got from her parents, and her passion towards dancing kept her strong.

jin also went through a hard time of getting rid of bad dancing habits or wrong dancing method she picked up ever since she started dancing. a lot of the issues she had were due to the fact that she has never had a proper dance lesson before, but just has been learning the dance movements from her friends and videos, and relying on her agility and flexibility which she excelled through practice of karate. these bad habits and improper dancing techniques will hinder her dance skills from further development if she did not correct them. besides that, there were also a lot of new techniques jin needed to master.

jin has trained a total of over 5 years (at the same time she finished her 4-year course work in Seoul National university and graduated with a bachelor's degree in math), and is now ready for debut. throughout the 5 years, jin became even more independent and self-desciplined. she also made a number of good friends. life has been good even though she's been super busy every day.

idol friends:

zhang, yixing | exo | hardworking, persistent, funny, easy-going | 5 | in dance class. the two quickly became good friends as they both are from china and share the same interests as well as cultural background. unlike jin's acquaintance with wu yifan, which is more out of mutual respect, jin's relationship with yixing is analogous to that between two lab partners who also hang out outside classroom. they talk about a lot of things, and even gossip together sometimes. however, nothing beyond pure friendship.
kim, jongin | exo | passionate, talented, child-like, innocent | 4
 | in dance class. jongin joined s.m. a year later than jin, plus he is 4 years younger than her, so jin always treats him as a little brother. it took them a while to get comfortable around each other, as both are the type thats get shy in front of the opposite gender. however, after they are familiar with each other, jongin showed his child-like side to jin a lot, and would use aegyo as a secret weapon to get jin to cook for him
meng, jia | miss a | straight-forward, generous, energetic, outgoing | 4 | through a friend of jin's dance crew friend. the two became good friends also because they are both chinese and share the same passion in dance. would hangout for food from time to time till miss a's debut.

❀ Love

love interest: do kyungsoo
backup: kim jongin

personality: Kyungsoo is a quiet and down to earth guy with good manners. He has a warm heart, and is always very sincere and loyal towards his friends. kyungsoo is also pretty mature among the peers of his age. despite his adorably innocent looks and relatively petite build, he never does aegyo (which suits his physical appearance a lot) and prefers showing his manly side instead. jin finds this very attractive.

IN ADDITION, KYUNGSOO IS VERY CARING AND SELF-DISCIPLINED. HE ALWAYS TRIES HIS BEST TO KEEP HIS ROOM CLEAN AND TIDY. HE'LL HELP HIS TEAMMATES DO LAUNDRY AND CLEAN COMMON AREAS. SOMETIMES HE WILL NAG NON-STOP IF THE OTHERS FAIL TO KEEP THE ROOM TIDY. EVEN THOUGH KYUNGSOO MAY NOT BE THE MOST TALKATIVE OR SOCAIL PERSON IN HIS GROUP, HE IS VERY SENSITIVE AND OBSERVANT, ALWAYS ABLE TO FIND OUT WHETHER HIS FRIEND IS GOING THROUGH ANY EMOTIONAL DOWNTURN NO MATTER HOW HARD ONE TRIES TO HIDE. AND HE IS ALWAYS WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO CHEER HIS FRIEND UP.

and oh yes, kyungsoo is a good cook. (in jin's dictionary, good cook + kind heart + manly yet soft tempered = total husband material)

backstory: KYUNGSOO BECAME JONGIN'S GOOD FRIEND NOT LONG AFTER HE JOINED S.M.. SINCE THEN, JONGIN COULDN'T HELP HIMSELF TALKING ABOUT KYUNGSOO DURING BREAKS OF DANCE LESSONS/PRACTICES. JIN HAS HEARD A LOT OF STORIES OF WHAT A GOOD SINGER AND AN AMAZING COOK KYUNGSOO IS. SAME GOES TO KYUNGSOO. JONGIN KEPT TELLING KYUNGSOO HOW JIN OFTEN CAME OUT WITH NEW DISHES FULL OF FLAVORS, AND HOW AMAZING SHE DANCES. THE TWO HAVE GOOD IMPRESSIONS OF EACH OTHER, YET THEY HARDLY EVER MET IN THE COMPANY DUE TO DIFFERENT TRAINING FOCUS AND SCHEDULES.

THE TWO FINALLY MET IN PERSON WHEN JONGIN DECIDED TO THROW A RANDOM PARTY AT HIS HOUSE AND INVITED QUITE A NUMBER OF HIS TRAINEE FRIENDS. BEING THE GOOD COOOK IN THE GROUP, JIN AND KYUNGSOO HELPED JONGIN PREPARE FOOD AND SNACKS FOR THE PARTY. NEITHER OF THE TWO ARE VERY TALKATIVE. THEY REMAINED SILENT MOST OF THE TIME WITH OCCASIONAL CHIT CHAT, YET THEY WERE ABLE TO TEAM UP REALLY WELL AND PREPARED A YUMMY FEAST FOR JONGIN AND OTHERS. THEY ENJOYED THE TEAM WORK AND EACH OTHER'S COMPANY. AFTER PARTY, THEY GOT TO HANG OUT SOMETIMES IN OTHER GROUP EVENTS WITH THE PRESENCE OF MUTUAL FRIENDS. THEY'VE WATCHED EACH OTHER'S PERFORMANCE AND WERE BOTH IMPRESSED BY THE OTHER PERSON. HOWEVER, THE TIME THEY'VE INTERACTED WITH EACH OTHER WAS VERY LIMITED, AND THEY DO NOT KNOW EACH OTHER THAT WELL YET.

relationship status: KYUNGSOO AND JIN ARE ACQUAINTANCES. THEY WOULD GREET EACH OTHER AND HAVE SIMPLE CONVERSATIONS SUCH AS "HOW'S YOUR DAY" AND "CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING ANOTHER #1 AT mUSIC BANK".

❀ Finale

scene suggestions: JIN ALMOST BEING CAUGHT READING A FLUFFY KAISOO FIC BY JONGIN ONCE. LUCKILY JONGIN'S NOT THAT GOOD IN ENGLISH SO HE DIDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT JIN'S READING ABOUT. BUT THINGS MIGHT TURN OUT DIFFERENT IF IT WAS KYUNGSOO WHO CAUGHT HER.

JIN CHEERING KYUNGSOO UP WHEN KYUNGSOO'S EXPERIENCING A BOTTLENECK IN SINGING, AND KYUNGSOO CONSOLING JIN WHEN HE SENSED HER UPSETNESS

the two exploring new restaurant and trying to "decipher" the dish they've tried together
