fashion style —

In the house: comfort first! Asami doesn't like the constricting feeling of jeans or pants so she opts for loose and/or comfortable such as skirts and sweatpants. Growing up with all girls, she sometimes gets a little careless around her husband and often ends up wearing only oversized shirts or something of that sort. -- click!

Out In The World: Cute and comfortable? Yes please! Asami prefers more neutral tones, although she does love to splash in the color every so often.  -- click!

character traits —  Friendly, sweet, open, bouncy, girl of few words, slightly vain, polite, non-judgemental, child-like, selfish

personality

Asami is a person with many acquaintances, few friends. Many would say their first impression of her is a friendly, polite girl whom very few, if any, have found an enemy in. She is a listener and the type of person to let you talk about anything and everything without interruptions or judgement. You can ask her about philosophy, ethics, education, life, her crush, what she thinks of a certain person, what you should have for dinner, she'll tell you her opinion, short and sweet. Even so, she is not one to speak much, and her words often run short even in everyday conversations. She is not a mute, far from it, those who can call themselves her friends will hear talk a mile a minute...occasionally. Asami is not hard to understand however, she is merely one to let her actions speak for themselves. Her facial expressions and body language are very expressive, but few make the effort to read them, settling instead for a platonic acquaintanceship with the girl.

The last paragraph may have made out Asami to be a reserved, serious sounding girl, but I did say she is very expressive and far from reserved. She's a girl who loves to laugh, loves making mischief and witty comments, and loves playing around like the child that she is. She gives off an innocent, child-like aura, but her friends know better than to trust the angel facade. Not shy of skinship, Asami is a hugger and a puncher. She'll squish you in a hug for the smallest act of cuteness or fluff just as easily as she'll give you a whack on the shoulder for teasing her. Many people get their impression of friendliness from her because of her forever smiling face. Mouth always cracked in a grin or open laughter she is one who appreciates humor and the 'little things.'

Being on the receiving end of more than a few confessions, Asami knows she is fairly attractive. While never mean or condescending about it, there are occasions where the girl gets a bit big-headed. One of Asami's biggest flaws is her reactions to said confessions. She is extremely afraid of hurting people and will turn them down kindly, however, those who confess, regardless of whether they were friends or not, she will start to push away. Not blatant avoidance but rather, talk less to them, seat herself farther from them, slowly but surely distancing herself.

family background

Asami was born to a Korean dad and Japanese mom and was the oldest daughter of four girls. The Song sisters were all born and raised in sunny California and grew up speaking their parents' heart language alongside English. Despite an overall sibling of 9 years, they are a very loving family and quite close with each other. When Asami was around 15, her family started hosting exchange students from Japan and Korea, a couple of which became like family to them. Asami was homeschooled through high school, which contributed to her close relationship with her siblings, and she graduated at 17 years old. She then entered the local community college and graduated with a bachelor's degree at 19.

When Asami was 17, fresh out of high school, she was involved in a horrible car accident. While not fatally injured, she was left with temporary leg paralysis and a scar on left shoulder blade. For a while after, Asami would not drive cars and is still reluctant to use them, preferring to use her silver motorcycle or bicycle to get around.

Since she was young, Asami has had two dreams. The first was to become a singer. She and her sisters even formed a band together.as she grew older she understood how it would probably be impossible for her just due to her voice being more suited to harmony than lead. However, she still enjoys singing and her love for music has never died. Her second dream was had to go to her parents' homelands, which was fulfilled soon after college.

life-style

After graduating college, Asami entered a program to teach English for a year at a elementary school in Tokyo. She loved it there and believed that she would be happy with that type of job for the rest of her life. But, she itched to experience the other half of her culture and moved to Korea the month after the program finished. Unfortunately, she did not find an open teaching position that would accept her because of her young age (she is now 20),even despite her teaching experience. She now works in a multi-lingual cafe as both a barista and English-Japanese tutor and loves her job.

Dislikes:

-people who don't listen (talk all you want, but make sure you listen to the other person too)

-ungrateful people

Habits:

-'gazing eyes' - Asami's habit of staring intensely/gazing at someone while they are speaking. Has been known to make some people uncomfortable.

- skinship - as aforementioned, she is a hugger and a puncher. Also, an arm-hooking, hand-holding, head-resting-on-shoulderer...er....person...

Fear:

- not being able to cook - Asami can cook American food no problem, but she has this irrational fear of not traditional Korean/Japanese food correctly.

- being misunderstood - a person not afraid of skinship and generous with smiles, Asami's actions have often been misunderstood as flirting.

Trivia: - has never had a boyfriend before. Yes, she had crushes but even if that person confessed she would decline. Saw no need for a boyfriend until she was ready to get married. HE was her first for everything.

family members

» father — Song Myoungjae: 48 : Opthamologist : man of few words, kind, strict, funny : A father who spoils his daughters with love, yet will make sure they are discplined, polite, and kind. Doesn't talk much with Asami, probably unimportant plotwise besides the fact that Asami is aware and grateful for his support.

» mother — Suzuki Mayu : 46 : a housewife : outgoing, energetic, friendly, easy-going : Almost the exact opposite of her husband, but just as loving and supportive. Often checks up on her daughter's health.

» sister — Song Akira : 16 : high school student : sensitive, hilarious, dorky, short-tempered : More than a sister, Akira, is a confidante, the comic relief, the chatterbox, and one of Asami's best friends.

» sister — Song Saori : 13 : jr. high student : soft-spoken, selfless, intelligent, kind : Probably the most awkward pair between the four sisters. Both quiet people. probably unimportant in plotline.

» sister — Song Miku : 10 : elementary school student : funny, cool, adorable, smart : baby of the family only in looks. Sometimes acts more mature than her older sisters, but they never let her forget she's the baby and shower her with snuggles, and squeals of "you're so adorable!" probably unimportant as well.

friends and colleagues

» best friend —  Hyorin : 20 : main singer of Sistar : kind, funny, confident, mischievous : LIke a sister to Asami, Hyorin was one of the exchange students who came to stay with her family. She stayed for two months and built up a strong friendship. Asami's singing buddy and partner-in-crime, and although the idol life is exhausting and time-consuming, Hyorin is always there for her best friend - even if only in spirit and a few kind words.

» close friend — Amber (fx) : 21 : barista and English-Chinese tutor : dorky, friendly, easy-going, tomboy-ish...obviously ;) : Asami's collegaue at work, Amber was one of Asami's first friends that she made in Korea. They met when Asami was checking out the cafe and they just clicked. She helped Asami land her job there.

» friend — Sungyeol (Infinite) : 21 : college student : loud, clumsy, goofy, cheerful : Asami has a way of attracting the loudest and dorkiest people, despite being such a quiet girl. Maybe they enjoy her reactions and easy laughter or the teasing and sarcasm?Whatever it is, it attractedc Sungyeol to her and gave them a hilarious love-hate sibling relationship.

other relationships

» husband's ex— Sohee (Wonder Girls) : 25 : English teacher at one of the schools Asami applied for : arrogant, jealous, petty, narrow-minded, cowardly : Yes, Sohee has good traits but those are saved only for those who are willing to bow down to her will. She and Asami first met at the interview for the teaching position. She became jealous at how everyone fawned over how accomplished Asami was at such a young age. It was Sohee who convinced the staff that ASami was too young and supposedly inexperienced for the job. About a month before, Sohee's boyfriend (xiumin) broke up with her. Sohee's loathing soon grew into hate when she found out that it was Asami whom her boyfriend had broken up with for.

» Dongsaeng — L.Joe (Teen Top) : 16 : high school student : quiet, kind, sweet, short-tempered : noona-dongsaeng relationship. L.Joe was also an exchange student with the Song family. He and Asami don't speak much now, but he trusts her and knows he can go to her if he needs a friend. She has a calming effect on him. Had a crush on her for a little while, but has since found a nice girlfriend and now sees Asami as only an older sister.

husband — Kim Minseok : 23 : Dancer, : manly, affectionate selfless, humble, gentle, stubborn, protective

personality

While Minseok's face may be cute, his mind and body are quite the opposite. He has a very strong personality, he's a leader, and very stubborn; when puts his mind to something, he's determined and he won't stop until it has been achieved. At the same time, he has a very humble spirit. Even though he went just as much, if not more, trouble and hardwork to see things through, he is willing to let the others stand in the spotlight and content as long as HE knows what has been done.

When Minseok loves, it is the purest love there is. It is a selfless, sacrificial, adoring love, a love interested in only the happiness and well-being of the loved ones, no matter how hard or painful it is on him, he does his utmost to ensure the best for them. For his family he works hard, proving to others that he could support them through a career in dance. His family knew he could do it, they believed in him, but others would make fun of him - what hurt the most is when they ridiculed his family for supporting him. To his friends, he is the wise older brother they would come to for advice and encouragement. He would give it freely and generously, believing in their dreams even when they themselves didn't, supporting them even when their families did not. To his wife he is very gentle, and treats her with such admiration, love, and respect it sometimes brings tears to her eyes.

Minseok's biggest flaw is his lack of consideration for himself. He gives and gives and gives, few can see when he starts to strain himself, only after it is too late and he is weak and over exhausted do the rest notice. But when Minseok hurts, everyone hurts. Stubborn, he'll insist he's fine and doesn't need to depend on anyone else.

relationship prior to the marriage

I'm so sorry, it ended up being really long. I just couldn't stop...

Minseok was another one of the exchange students the Song family hosted. Asami would say she made a horrible first impression. It was almost immediately after her accident. She was in the hospital, no make-up, tangled hair, traumatized from the crash, and depressed at the potentially permanent paralysis on her legs. Minseok would beg to differ. Instead of being uncomfortable or disgusted by Asami, he merely saw a girl. A girl who was frightened, confused, and beautiful. A girl whom he swore at that moment on to protect from all the things that would dare to hurt. Asami found comfort in the sweet boy, and though confused by his unconditional kindness she didn't question it and instead reveled in their fast-growing relationship. Minseok was the first to see Asami walk again, and he was the one who went with her to get the tattoo on her back. For the months that he was there, they were inseparable. Feelings more than friendship, more than siblings, may have grown between the two, but it was not questioned. They merely wanted to enjoy the time they had together to the fullest.

They continued to keep in contact with frequent messaging and skype calls for he was not only a huge part of Asami's life, but he became one of the family as they all loved him to pieces. When he got a girlfriend, Asami's mother was the most disappointed. Yes, Asami hurt, but she had learned to love like Minseok. A selfless love interested only in the happiness of the loved one. Skype calls grew scarce, but they never lost contact. Their relationship was far too deep for that.

Minseok realized he was love with Asami when he held her in his arms for the first time after her arrival in Korea. He had recently broken up with his girlfriend because he finally saw past the sickly sweet facade, and when he was once again in Asami's arms he knew he never wanted to let her go again. They dated for 3 months before he proposed. Quick, yes, but they knew they could never love another. A month later they were married and have now been married for a month.

relationship after the marriage

There are no boundaries with each other. Their hearts, minds, and bodies are completely open to each other; their spirits are one. They have the relationship people only dream about and are only falling deeper in love with each other.

When they fight, it is usually because each others' lack of self-awareness. When one sees the other working hard, that one will work harder. This overexertion causes exhaustion not only physically, but mentally; their words become sharp and they are quick to judge or misunderstand. Also, both are fairly popular with the other . Although not easily jealous, even these two have their limits, with Asami being a tad bit more selfish with Minseok than he with her. Fights are usually started with the silent treatment, rarely do they ever yell, but sometimes their temper does get the better of them and scathing comments are cut loose. The couple's fights USUALLY never last long. Mostly due to miscommunication, things are talked out...or....*coughcough* worked out in other ways...

Culture shock! Even if Asami grew up learning about Korean and Japanese culture and forms of respect, it is a whole new experience having to live it all the time. She is a tad more direct in her speaking, more independent, and a bit sarcastic, more so than the average Korean girl. Not to mention cultural traditions and mannerisms that are quite different than what she is used to. Although for the most part, Minseok finds it quite adorable, he is still human and even he grows frustrated with her sometimes - usually when they are fighting.

child — n/a

trivias —

-this couple loves hugging. Asami's favorites are the warm and protective backhugs, spooning, and when he lies on top of her. Minseok doesn't do that last one much because he feels like he's crushing her.

-thrill rides all the way! Amusement park dates aren't a usual thing, but when they go, they enjoy it to the fullest as both love roller coasters and other thrill rides.

-Minseok's most firghtening moment was when he and Asami were crossing the street and a careless driver nearly hit her. She had collapsed on the ground, her legs feeling as if they could no longer hold her up and memories of her paralysis coming back. Thinking she was hurt, Minseok's heart nearly stopoped and he couldn't breathe properly, not hesitating to drop down to her. Once he confirmed she was alright and merely a little shaken, he carried her up and off the road and didn't let her down till they were home.

-complete idiots for each other

-he proposed to her in his dance studio. He was teaching her a dance they could do together and after they (she) could dance no more he asked her to become his dance partner...for life.

-Asami loves his parents but she freaks out whenever they come over for dinner and she has to cook for them.

-they both love children and want at least 3

ending — I figure I've written more than I should have in all the other sections so I'll keep this one short and sweet; happy ending please!

scene requests

» Can I have a making babies scene? Please?? *puppy eyes* *bricked* Haha, or at least a talk about children after seeing the adorable children playing in the park.

» Ah! Sohee! Perhaps a confrontation? Or a talk-behind-your-back-yeah-I-can-hear-everything thing? "She's too young, not good enough, doesn't deserve him." She's not so horrible (and brave) tha she'd physically hurt Asami, but lots of condescension and insults are no problem for her.

» I don't know? orz I'm only good with people, not with scenes. That's why I can never finish writing a story. creys.

» Oh! Fluffy! He steals her glasses. "I can't see you!" "Then I'll just have to come closer." "...I still can't see you" *moves even closer* aahh! Fluffy! *flails*

» A time came when Minseok was overworking and trying to do too much on his own and not caring about his own health. Asami told him numerous times to take care of himself and tried to get him to rest, but he didn't listen. She grew angry at Minseok for not listening, but mostly for not relying on her more. Minseok didn't understand Asami's anger and came to the conclusion that she also must think he's useless or that she doesn't need him anymore. He works even harder, going above and beyond, being extra caring and considerate, but she treats him coldly, hoping that it will make him stop worrying about her and more for himself. A week goes by like this. Only after Asami woke up one night to his desperate voice pouring out his fears and worries about their relationship to one of his best friends through the phone did she realize how she had only been hurting him more.

» When Minseok is being so...Minseok...Asami can't stand it and just...hugs. And doesn't let go, like, you are so precious and adorable and you are mine forever. it could be the other way around as well.

comments/questions

» I'm so so so sorry my application ended up being so long!! I didn't mean for it to be, honest.

» I put a lot of myself into this so...that may be why it's so lengthy?

» so if you don't like it, I'm sorry...please don't be too hard on eher!

» I feel like I wrote a lot of unnecessary things? But I just can't cut anything else out? She's like...a person, and people are hard to explain...hehe...*shuttingupnow*

why should i choose Song Asami » Because she loves Minseok! (^^) And she's Minseok's favorite! haha!

Hi hi! One more thing to add because yours truly is a dumb one. Can you please add at least two back-up husband(s)? Just in case. Oh, replying here is fine. Thank you!

(I swear I thought I put this in the app already. OTL)
