Yumi was born and raised in Tokyo until first grade due to her father's job. She moved back to Korea because her father quite his job and wanted to start a company. Yumi's mom died from cancer when she was only seven years old so she doesn't have much memory of her. She lived in a rich neighborhood and lived comfortably. Her father were usually never home anyways, so she had to always be taken care by from her nanny. This made her very talkative. She felt as if she always needed to say something interesting or else her father wouldn't pay attention - who was always busy with his work.
She met the girls in elementary school. Despite her outward personality now, when she was younger - she was the brave one. If one of the girls lost their pet dog, she would start a search party by gathering the neighborhood kids to the playground. She would get down in the bushes and alley ways. If the cootie-boys bothered them she would fight them. If her classmates got jealous of her friends (or her) she would confront them after school or recess and tell them up. Her innocent child heart of wanting to be the hero gradually diminished on the outside, but on the inside - she still wishes to be the superhero that saves the day.
The first time she fell in love was in her second year of middle school. He was the class heart throb and her neighbor. She followed him around and even confessed to him on valentines day. They were a couple for rest of middle school. She had her first kiss and was on cloud nine. His dream was to become a fashion designer. ____ would always dress up in his designs when they were together. However, one day when she came home from school she saw her father's car in the driveway. Yumi was surprised and happy her father came home early. She burst in the the house and ran to her parents room only to find her father eloping with her boyfriend's mother. She screamed and ran out the room. Later that day her father tried to talk to her but she only locked herself in her room. She didn't mind her father finding new love but the new woman was her first love's mother. If they married then she would have to be brother and sister with him. She was absolutely furious. The next day she spilled vicious rumors all over the neighborhood. Her confident tone and image convinced everyone that they were true. Her boyfriend's mother was shunned. A year after, the woman committed suicide. Yumi was shocked. Soon after her first love broke her heart because he found out she was the one who made the horrible rumors. She felt ashamed and devastated. Her once-innocent heart shut its doors. Her loose-lipped habit bit her back in the real hard. From then on, she didn't care what the results of her gossip lead to. She dated countless number of guys just hoping to meet her first love once again.
