Character Background (Please be descriptive 2-3 paragraphs) 

Seomi was born in Busan, South Korean and lived there until she was six years old.  They moved to Seoul because Seomi's mother, Eunmi job.  When Seomi was seven her younger sister was born and she was so excited to be an older sister, but that excitement soon faded when she found out that her little sister had a heart condition.  Seomi's little sister was in an out of the hospital.   Seomi's father Seohoon walked out on her mother, older brother, and baby sister when she was 12 years old.  She vowed that she would never forgive her father for leaving them.

Seomi is a very bright girl who loved music ever since she was young.  She took lessons for the piano and the violin since she was three years old and started to lean the guitar and taking vocal lessons at 13 years old.  Seomi went to an international school where she learned Japanese, English, and Mandarin.  Seomi is fluent in all three languages.  Seomi has always been in the top's ranks in her grade and the school.  Everyone thought when Seomi graduated from High School that she was going to be a doctor or engineer, but she took a different path.  She chose music even though her older brother disapproved of it. 

Seomi worked in a cafe during her college years where she was one of the main performers.  Seomi was performing in the cafe when she was spotted by a scout from SM and he told her that she should come to the SM building.  Seomi was accepted into SM's training program.  Her brother still did not approve of her wanting to be an idol. The first year and a half went well, but she soon started to feel that SM wasn't her.  Some of the trainee's that she came across were rude to her and asked her why she was here because she can't sing.  They told her that she was just a pretty face.  Seomi waited another year and a half before leaving SM and auditioning for Woollim Entertainment. 

Once accepted into Woollim entertainment she was happier and made friends quickly with Dongwoo.  Dongwoo said to her since they were the same age that he would look out for her. He acted like a hyung to her even though Seomi is about three and a half months older than him.  Seomi became friends with Sungjong after she overheard him talking to himself how no one would go watch a horror movie with him.  Sungjong was shocked when Seomi appeared behind him, but his shocked expression soon changed when Seomi told him she will be his horror movie buddy. Seomi met Sunggyu when she was singing alone in a practice room.  She did not notice him at first, but when she did she tripped over her own feet.  Sunggyu helped her up and told her that he liked her voice.  That was when she started to have feelings for him.   After two years of training, Seomi was approached by Lee Jungyeop and he told her that he was going to debut a new group soon and he wanted Seomi to be the leader, but he told him that she must keep it a secret from Infinite.  When she asked why? He told her that he did not want them to know yet because they with their world tour. 

Personality

Seomin has a lot of spunk, and tough skin.  She is not scared to take risk, and it sometimes gets her into trouble. The trouble she normally get's into is an injury, but she hides them.  She also hides when she is feeling sick because she does not want to disappoint the fans and the rest of the members of Cosmic. She is really stubborn.  Seomi can change her personality depending on the situation she is in.  She is very motherly and overprotective of the members of Cosmic. Seomi is book smart.  She is very down to earth, and tried to find the best way to solve a problem so both sides are happy.

Family Background

Seomi comes from a good family, but it is also broken.  Her father is from Busan and lived there till Seomi was six and her brother was ten.  Seomi father left after five years after Hyomi was born. Hyomi was born with a heart condition that constantly has her in the hospital.  Her mother is just a well known designer in Korea, and her family lives in Seoul.

Seomi's mother is a well know fashion designer in Korea.  She designs many clothes.  After Cosmic Debuts. Her mother uses them as models for their clothing campaigns

Song Youngmi - Older Brother - 28 - Doctor

Seomi's brother is very protective of his two little sisters for different reasons.  Youngmi finds his sister Seomi attractive and often tells her not to wear certain things.  He is against her becoming an idol because he does not want her private life made public, but when he sees how happy it makers Seomi he changes his mind.  Youngmi is also worried about Hyomi because of her health.

Song Hyomi - Little Sister - 17 - Student

Hyomi really looks up to Seomi and wants to become and idol, but she cannot because of her heart condition.  She was slightly jealous when he sister was scouted, but she is proud to be Seomi's sister.  She goes to the hospital a lot to get check.

Jang Seohoon - Father - 52 - Unknown

Seomi's father who left after five years  Hyomi was born.  Seomin does not know much about Seohoon because they lost contact.  Her father is a bad man, but not much is known about his whereabouts, but returns when Seomi debuts, and tries to get her to pay for his gambling debt.

 How were you discovered?

Seomi was discovered when she worked in a cafe.  Seomi was one of the main performers at the cafe and someone from SM was scouting the day she was singing.  Someone from SM came up to her and brought her in as a trainee.  They liked her look and her voice.  Seom trained under SM for five years and she was very unhappy there because some of the trainees she must were arrogant and rude. They were all backstabbers.  She left SM and started to audition at other companies to find her right fit.  Seomi auditioned at Woollim and got accepted on the spot.

They never liked each other.  Seomi and Serri went to the same international school.  Serri got angry because she believed that Seomi stole the guy she liked.  Seomi did not confess to the guy he confessed to her, but she rejected him because she was too focused on her studies. When she ran into Serri again she still blamed Seomi for things.  She says some terrible things about Seomi's sister, even though she wanted to punch the girl she did not.  Seomi did not want to cause a scandal.  When Serri finds out that Seomi likes Sunggyu she tries to steal him away.
