Personality: Park JiHae is someone who is full of youth and very childish. She has a habit of getting on her brothers nerves as she acts younger than he is at age 15. Like a child, she is stubborn and won't take no for answer. Would sulk if not given her way. Yet she is very determined and ambitious. JiHae tends to bite off more than she can chew and refuses to admit it. 

This strong attitude leaves JiHae to be a great friend. She really cares for her friends and loved ones and will do anything to make sure they are happy. Her favorite way to cheer people up is through aegyo. JiHae overuses her aegyo to the point it has no effect on her members. It only works on new people. Then after a month, they realize just how much she uses it. It doesn't became annoying. Everyone just realizes this a normal thing. 

JiHae, even though she acts young, doesn't want people to believe she can't handle herself. That is why she would keep in all emotions until she is alone. She tries to be strong in front of everyone and doesn't like crying in front of people. Is very bad at admitting feelings and will ignore such feelings as long as she can. JiHae is overall very strong headed and stubborn. Some see her as fake being that she is always seen with a smile. If you see JiHae cry, then you must be someone special for her because their are few she actually will let see her cry. JiHae cries when things get too stressful or when she hasn't seen her family in forever and she starts to deeply miss them.

Backgrounds: Park JiHae is the oldest child in her family and was born on April 28th, 1994 in Busan. Her parents are both teachers for an elementary school which is where they met. In shcool, JiHae would get in trouble because she could never sit still. It led her parents to be utterly embarrassed to call her their daughter. Her uncle suggested putting her in dance class to calm those legs of her and that is when they saw that their daughter had a talent. It didn't keep her still in class, but her grades improved so they kept her in dance classes. JiHae however, didn't consider this as a future until she stayed at her uncle's for a week. Her parents went out of town leading her uncle to be in charge. This was when she was ten years old. She spent the whole week dancing for her uncle and telling him about everything she learned in her class. Her uncle responded by asking "How would you like to dance for a living?" JiHae was overjoyed that it was possible. 

Her uncle got in touch with some people that he knew and got her an audition with Woollim Entertainment. They turned her down, saying she needed to work at it a bit more. Her uncle trained her himself and a year later auditioned again and made it in. Even though her singing wasn't that strong, her dance was passionate and her singing improved. She trained for four years but no debut ever came. Thinking this was all pointless, her parents made her leave to focus on her studies. To them, clearly she wasn't talented enough. However, her uncle didn't give up. He talked to Woollim's CEO who recommended that JiHae try out for SM Entertainment. At the age of 16, she got into SM Entertainment as a trainee.

How you meet: JiHae stayed late one night at SM's dance studio and Xiumin had gone to work on his dancing. Seeing that JiHae was already using the room he was going to just leave. But JiHae said they could share and practice together. Xiumin was amazed by the passion she put into her dancing and JiHae was equally impressed by him. The way his moves all flowed together.

How you treat each other: They treat each other like they've known each other all their lives. They live to tease one another and are far from serious when they hang out. JiHae loves to rub her fangirl habits of fawning over boys in his face and loves how it really seems to get him steamed. Xiumin is far from shy when he is with JiHae. Their youthful spirits brought them close together and if they are in the same room, they will always be next to each other. They use any excuse to do skinship. JiHae headed down to the nearest coffee shop to get what else besides coffee. She was planning on pulling an all nighter with her practice and Sungyeol was there buying coffee as well. JiHae introduced herself as "that one trainee you almost spilled water on" and Sungyeol recognized her right away. She had almost gotten right in the middle of one of his pranks aimed at Myungsoo but luckily she saw Myungsoo and let him go in the door first. Sungyeol laughed at the memory and told JiHae that he looked forward to seeing him around.

How you treat each other: JiHae treats Sungyeol like the cool older brother she doens't have. When she was still at Woollim, she loved to pull pranks with him. Sungyeol looked out for her and tried to keep her all to himself. He would be jealous seeing Woohyun was teaching her to be greasy or that Sunggyu was trying to help her with her singing. The two grew close to the point where they almost dated. But Woollim wouldn't allow it so they stayed friends. Sungyeol is still protective of JiHae who grew out of her feelings when she left.
