SME rant - stolen from Baka-trio

This is  not meant to be insulting to anyone, i just wanted to share my thoughts on the subject.i had posted this on my tumblr but now im posting it here.

okay, i’ve always stayed quiet about my thoughts on SM and their treatment towards their bands.I will try not to be as biased as possible. Sment are anti suju…..I said nothing.

*how i found out about kpop*

Well I’ve been into Kpop for almost two years now. i was always an anime freak and i loved japan. still do. so a relative of mine decided to show me Shinee hello baby. since her friend was oh so obsessed about it. i hated them at first. then i watched it . loved it. watched more. got introduced to SNSD AND SHINEE. Obsessed bout shinee for 2 months. SNSD 4 days. Then…RIGHT THEIR out of no where i heard somethign that was beyond PERFECTION.

after i got to know Super junior and i Fangirled Happily EVa AFtA!!!!!!

BUT WAIT!

I honestly am not going to lie. I dont like SNSD. Dont kill meh … im more of a Blackjack. thats not my point. i came across a bunch of comments about SMe and how their treatment differs from band to band, most people mentioned SNSD having better treatment. since i havent paid attention to their Mv's i decided to rewatch them. and so i watched SNSD MV’s.

And i was liek…

SNSD Mv’s had like PROPS and and and Plots and and and it was ALl flashy and eye catching! and then Suju….Sets and Sets And Sets and a chair in SJ m Break down mv!  

…..

I was like maybe its just SNSD. I watched Shinee Mv’s.

Yeah i admit its still Sets and boxes but their were props and Non recycled Sets. *i seee waht you did their sme

Dont get me wrong i have nothing against SHinee.

Then EXO debuted and i was like

Im speaking  honestly hear and no im not gonna insult EXO or anything i am a more not civilizeded  citizen of the kpop fandom.

I get SM is Trying to promote EXO since they just recently debuted.

Still, EXO in which i think are getting better Treatment. ESPecially their Mv’s. 

SNSD ANd SHinee have also been around for a while and THEY STILL have better Mv’s than SJ.

And its not liek suju are a fail group they are REALLY POPULAR and have dedicated fans such as myself *cough*self praise*cough*.

and they bring in Buttloads of DOugh!! by dough i mean money…i bet you already knew that….

SO, SME i doubt they will ever read this and i KNOW that plenty of ELFs were worried about this very point. my message is.

SM why you SO SNSD/EXO biased??

and on another point. i read something that went along the lines of “SM did not treat Super Junior unfairly, Super junior have more sub groups than any other band…"

Ehm

Super junior Trot was only like what one album.and are inactive.

only 4 are active and not AS much. including the actual group.

anyways i have concluded my awesome rant that makes no sense

Even though I am a hardcore SONE, I do believe that SJ needs more attention. SM has been trapping them in boxes for the past 4 years. Their last meaningful MV was probably "It's You" but afterwards, it was box after box after box. Then again, SJ began to gain popularity internationally dancing in a box. Sorry Sorry, Bonamana, and Mr. Simple were SuJu's 3 biggest MVs and those were of them dancing in the boxes.

The investment rate on Super Junior compared to Shinee and SNSD however is on the minority even though SuJu pulls in a large chunk of the money for SM. I guess they thought that since Super Junior was already popular, it would be a waste of money to invest in a higher budget video for them.

I can see where SM is going with EXO. It is normal for a company to invest in a high budget video for newer groups. However, SM over hyped and released like 30 teasers of them. I believe that they could have taken a bit of the money from SM's mass over-promotion of EXO in beefing up SuJu's videos a bit.

In the end, SM should focus more on Super Junior because when they decide to disband (and I hope that doesn't happen soon), it could be a while for another Kpop boy group to reach SuJu's level of popularity in the Kpop world. SuJu along with Big Bang are the 2 top male Kpop groups in Kpop and with all of the new groups coming out with what I have seen, they REALLY need to work hard AND hope for a miracle to even dream to be as popular as SuJu and Big Bang.

Well that sums up my rant.

My final words on this topic, "Give Super Junior more attention, SME."

no wonder hangeng left and kibum isn't active anymore.

i don't think any group from the 3rd generation can get near sj's level. the fact that kpop's quality is dying these past few years...

they may be biased over exo, but exo is like the most hated rookie band on s.korea so their bias-ness for them isn't really worth it, unless we're talking about how they milk money from the fandom base.

and about snsd, i like half of them, the other half ... i don't care about them, but no, i'm not a hater. In s.korea, gg is the current no.1 girl group, I can't blame sm if they are putting their efforts for snsd, but I hope they'll treat everyone equally, especially sj and fx.

compared to exo's bunch of HD teasers, sj's spy mv looks so cheap. i feel bad for them. i like both groups though.

the only idea i could think of them letting go of suju is because some of them are getting at the age of marriage (?) i'm not sure

Ok, lemme crack my knuckles for my likewise ranting. I've also seen comments all over YouTube saying SNSD gets better treatment. And I do believe it's partially true. EXO I believe does as well, since they're like the "new SJ". In 2005, Super Junior 05 debuted with 12 members, and a year later added another. In 2012, EXO debuted with 12 members. I wouldn't be surprised if they added another member this year. SM's just trying to make the most money off who ever's the most popular right now, and right now, it's EXO since they just debuted and they come from such a huge company like SM. I love all groups equally, so I see no reason for this unfair treatment. They're all really talented groups, so they all deserve the same amount of attention. I also agree with MintyPetals. SJ is getting old to be in the singing industry in terms of boy bands (except for Shinhwa. Shinhwa is just like man-gods that don't age.), and EXO is the new rookie group that's taking everything by storm. Not a single member of EXO was born before 1990, so they're pretty young. I feel so bad for our SJ oppas, because they've worked so hard, and then this happens to them. I wish they'd get a break, and have a real music video for once since 2009. :p

I have always wondered why SM is so unfair, it was even some moment when pained me, because Super Junior is an amazing and great K-Pop Band. They deserve better treatment.

I'm personally a big SuJu, SNSD, SHINee and EXO fan, plus a whole lot of other fandoms. I haven't really noticed this but now that you mention it, yeah, SM do seem very biased. I have a feeling they're promoting EXO because they're new, they're fresh and young and they're basically candy to all the brainwashed little fangirls out there. SNSD are also an incredibly famous band, which might be why they're so popular. Super Junior have been famous for a very long time (don't get me wrong, I still adore SuJu and they're still perfect as ever to me) but they are reaching a time when they may disband in however many years. I mean, a few members are already thirty years old, so SM are probably paying more attention to EXO and SNSD because, while they are incredibly famous, they also have some time left until they have to disband and retire from the whole pop stuff. I hate it a lot because I adore Super Junior but there's not much we can do :(

Lee sooman said it himself .. they debuted suju out of pity. They never expected sj will be THIS famous.
