My heart is breaking

I was supposed to finish writing the next chapter for Donghae’s story but I spent most of the day out.

If you follow me on Twitter, then you would know that my family & I have been bringing  our dog to the vet the past few weeks because she’s been sick and weak.

I still can’t write a full proper blog post on it now, even with this short write-up I already am crying. But to keep it short and simple…I just had a ‘Marley & Me’ ending.

My family and I just made a hard decision to put our dog, Labby, to sleep to end her suffering. My heart is breaking…I feel like I just lost a close family member, my baby, my friend.

It was only last year that we overcame a big medical crisis on her life (previous posts: 06/01/2012 & 06/04/12)

Some of you may think that I’m just overreacting but if you see your pet as a part of your family, then you would know what I feel.  It’s not surprising how attached and close my parents & I are with our dogs because of the years we spent with them. This is also the first time for my mom & I to lose a dog and we just had a breakdown. My head hurt so much from crying.

Labby, came to our lives after we saw her straying on the streets and adopted her. We got her July of 2008 and we lost her July of 2013.

I would like to think that she lived her life as a spoiled and loved dog.

I do understand how you feel. I've lost my dog of 14 years, it's still painful even though it's been 2 years. Stay strong! Labby will remain etched in your heart. Cheer up *hugs*

I know just how much you lost her. I lost my baby brother on 26th June. He's going to have his 2nd birthday on 15th July, but he passed away just a month before it.... to make it worse, I was away cause I attend my university out of my hometown. So yeah, I understand your feeling.

I'm so sorry for your loss! It's hard to go through this. She is in a better place now running around and eating all the treats she can where she is now. She will always be by your side by being in your heart. She may be gone but will never be forgotten. I'm sure she left this world knowing that she lived the last years in a great place with the most loving family she has ever met. R.I.P Labby <3

I know how much it hurts to loose a pet, because by the time they are gone they're not only pets. They're part of our family.
She was a lucky dog to have a family that adopted her and loved her no matter what.
She lived happy and she's resting in peace now, that's what you have to think about.
Be strong!! (:

Be tough girl. Reading your post it reminds me of my old blog.
Just cry out if makes you feel better.
Take good care of yourself, you need some time to grief over.

Aww. No hun, I think all animal lovers know that you're not overreacting.. We all know what that feels like. RIP Labby. ='(
On another note.. she's no longer suffering and is at a better place. I know that's not much comfort, but.. I bet she's watching over you and protecting you. =)
