Anybody remembers their first love? Well, I do. haha. 

My first love was a sweet one, even though I didn't confess.

He is sweet to everybody, a gentleman.

Every time I see him, my heart flutters. He is cute and handsome. He is all-rounded. Smart, athletic, funny.

Is it love at first sight? I can't remember but I know I had a crush on him for 5 years. From the day I entered secondary school till my final year. I am the type of person who takes a long time to forget somebody, like my crush.

I thought of confessing but I never had the courage to. My friends encouraged me too. Still, I didn't.  Since I am unable to confess, I just allowed myself to admire him from afar. 

I am scared that when I confess, our good friendship will be ruined and it will be very awkward. I also do not want to disturb him. I don't want to be a hindrance.

However, during my final year, I found out that he is close to one of my classmate, and everybody was shipping both of them. Of course, I was heartbroken.

At first, I was skeptical but soon the truth revealed itself. They are close and maybe they do feel more than best friends to each other.

I didn't cry but I was really really upset and disappointed. I wasn't angry at them nor myself. I am actually glad that he found someone he like and had the same feelings as him.

Luckily, I didn't confess. Even though we stayed as mutual friends, I am contented.

To be honest, I am quite dense. Sometime I wonder 'is this love?' Really.

I am happy that my first love wasn't a jerk but a sweet boy.

I can't say I had fully recovered from this heartbreak, but I will cherish this first love.

My first love taught me that when you are in love, you will overlook the person's flaws. He will be deemed perfect in your eyes.

Also he taught me that even though he does not have the same feelings as me, as long he is happy, I am happy too.

Thank you, my first love for teaching how love feels.
