Five sakura petals flowing with the wind
in the season of new beginnings.

One petal brings joy to whomever it meets.
One petal is there whenever you seek.
One petal tangles with another,
forming two halves of a whole,
while the last petal falls,
the wisest of them all.

The wind comes and the petals scatter.
In this season, their hearts are shattered.

The joyful gradually loses its cheer,
and now the petal only sneers.
The selfless changes and turns away,
learning how to keep friends at bay.
A whole is brutally cut; split into halves
as both petals soon forget their laughs.
The wise realizes it is a fool,
for the other petals were more than just tools.

The bonds shattered when the petals scattered,
the petals belatedly realized they could be mended.

They braced themselves as a breeze blew by,
determined not to say such painful goodbyes.
The petals rise and float in air
as the wind blew by and they meet mid air.

The wind dies and they fall together,
knowing the bonds among them were for forever.
