What should I do?

So today I had a little, wait no massive annoying problem and have no idea what to do. I am really starting to hate people. So many people I know and have met are so imature, disrespectful, back-stabbing, mean and just down right horrible. Like seriously, what is wrong with people nowadays? Someone please tell me. Is it really that hard to be friendly or at least cordgial to a ,oh I don't know- oh yeah a friend! WFT? Like I don't even know anymore. I have to reinvent myself. This one kid blames everything on me and only me. I have been nothing but nice and friendly to him and this is what I get? So pretty much what happened was I try to help him with his plan to go see his girlfriend, who is also my best friend, and she lives far away. His parents won't let him drive a few hours away to see her so he asks me to drive him and I say yeah but then my sister who is back from Europe needs to use my car so I tell him I might not be able to. And he was like ' oh well tell your sister you really need it. I have to see her and miss her.' My sister needs it for her job and he should figure that out on his own it's his girlfriend after all, right? So he keeps bugging me about it. Then last night, I try to sleep and he keeps texting me so I ask him and our friend to text in another group chat without me so I can sleep. They continue to spam me so I turn my phone onto the "Do Not Disturb" mode. I forgot it was still on and when I turned it off my phone was blown up with text messeges. So I go through and reply to my family and whatnot then talk to my friends. One text said that I ws being childish giving the silet treatment. I texted back and told them that my phone was on DND mode. Then I charged my phone and went to go out with some family. I got back and checkd my phone. I was being insulted and wrongly accused of being a "selfish ' and was a girl who always had to have everything my way. Do they seriously think I like being trolled 24/7? Then one boy texted 'oh 'i guess your phone is on DND mode again?' like are you really that stupid? I told him I was busy and at least had my priorities in order. This kid needs a rality check. Then he insults not only me some more but my sister. He called her a , said she brainwashed me then said just accept the fact that you will never be better than her. Stand up for yourself and quit being so damn selfish like her. Then he said I am just too selfsih and wants to blame other people for everything.I only blame people for the wrong things they do but I don't do it in a rude way. Later I had finally had enough and told him to never contact me in anyway ever again. I blocked his number from my phone, deleted him off facebook, skype and instgram. Do you guys think I am over reacting? Did I do the right thing? What did I do wrong? What should I have done? What should I do?
