kpop artists are actually poor. trust me.

so.. Raynie1995 (too lazy to hyperlink, sorry :'( ) posted about the richest kpop artist.

Well, i read news in the interner and also hear news from friends, and lots of people, and rumours, and such...

don't ask me where >< it's a long time ago.

but actually, kpop artist don't get all they money the supposed to have. for example, exo sold thousands copies of album, they don't get the money. suju participate a lot in variety shows, they don't get the money.

so, this is why and i'm going to elaborate it as detailed as possible. not going to bash certain company.

SM actually.

sorry for SMStan. I'm a SMStan too.

but we need to open our eyes and help or biases out there in every available company in korea.

during trainee time, companies pampered their artist a lot. to salon, teachers to train them, dorm, (and in some artists) plastic surgery. lemme tell you guys, it was all not for free. those artists didn't pay back then. they pay it now. when they debuted, making mv, costumes, album, concert.. it's all not free. it is considered as money the artists owe to the company.

they work hard to pay those. So where they get their money? They get around 5-20% from the album sale ONLY if the album sale reach a certain number. in Super Junior's case, they got 10% percent if they sold at least 100.000 copies of album. If they don't, no money. and also they got around 5-20% too from concert, fanmeeting, and showcase. only if the tickets are sold out.

so when will the artist receive the money they deserve to have? it depends. when they make scandals, or members leaving the group (not because the company forced them to), company fined them. i don't know how much, but guessing how TVXQ and Super Junior suffered, i guess it's a big number of money. Suju finally owned a small percent of the company's stock, and also got their fair share of money (not just that 5-20%) after the y free & single era. that was.... 7-8 years in total. because hangeng leave, kangin-heechul-leeteuk-yesung left for military service, kibum being deactive, it took them years to pay SM back. TVXQ is different. 3 members dropped out and started a new group and also filed a lawsuit against SM. that's a lot of trouble and SM must've fined them.

so will they get money? yes of course. but a small amount. beside on album sale, they depend on music shows. everytime they win first place, companies usually give bonus. that explains why Suho cired badly and sooman was the first name he thanked. also when suju first win, i remember all members (even sungmin) cried. they got money dude.

it's hard to be a kpop artist. Hangeng left SJ, saying SM didn't treat their artist well. they didn;t get paid and such. of course.

i am not bashing SM or something even tho i'd love too because i hate sooman, my friends hate sooman, we all hate sooman.

those artist desrve to be paid. so let's buy their album, ne? help them get their money. vote for them in music show. support them. attend every concert and fanmeeting if you can. that's the only way for them to get money.

eunhyuk once stated, suju used to live depending on siwon and sungmin's money(lol, they're filthy rich even before they join suju) because they didn't have money.

so, support our bia, ne? especially on rookies like EXO, BAP,BTS, VIXX... they still have a long path before they are able to enjoy the money they produced.

Hoya was able to buy his parents a house o.o
He is not from SM though. But I understand. SM needs to get back all the money they spent on the artist and then some...

I think it's really sad. It's worse for B.A.P out of all those rookies. TS spent so much money on the One Shot video that it is one of the most expensive music videos, *ever*, and B.A.P are going to have to pay it all back. It's sad :/
You can see why JYJ and Hangeng left :(
