emalie y. lee; most commonly known for her exuberant laugh and quirky demeanour. she's a lively young woman who's a bit too loyal and selfless. she strives for positivity and dislikes looking on the dark side of life; having known the results of it after seeing her older sister suffer from it. she likes seeing people smile; but she often has no sense of proper humour to actually make you laugh.
she's not very welcoming at first, at first glance; you would percieve her as quiet, polite and maybe even a little cold. but don't be fooled by her slight demeanour and light smile! the girl is one tough cookie and you wouldn't want to get on her bad side by messing with her or her friends. she was a rhythmic gymnast for eight years up until she started training; and she has learned discipline, determination and strength since a very young age. she can break your nose with one go! emalie is very very protective of her friends and family and would do anything for them. but she can get very selfish at times and often, when she gets selfish, things go wrong for her.
the girl doesn't like people seeing her sad, but she's one hell of a firecracker when you fire her up! she has a quick temper and an even sharper tongue to go with it. whatever witty comment you have, she already has it stored in her bag; so i wouldn't recommend you go into a debate with her. emalie's known to be super scary when mad. she screams and takes her anger on tables by banging them hard if she's at her boiling point; she once dented a wooden table. tears though, don't come easily for her. when she's sad, she instructs herself to it up and put on a blank face. she despises crying and the only other people who have ever seen her cry are her family and members.
the thing is with emalie; when you get to know her, you realize she's just a weird, caring and a bit blur teenager. she loves to have random dance parties; you can see her on a rest day learning all the latest dances. she laughs a bit too loud and you can't help but love her for that. her expressions come in a wide range and sometimes you can't tell if she's sad, happy or even a mix of the two happily sad! she's known to be the best person you'd want to be around when you're sad. her positivity lifts you right up!
on stage, emalie exerts a lively, charming and maybe a little charismatic aura, that merges well with the other members. her camera-self is very extroverted and she doesn't care to act properly. she's energetic and lovable; and many hosts comment on how natural she is of a variety wildcard.

emalie yerin lee was born to lee il sung, south korean businessman who was starting out in the malaysian market and alexandria chew ee wenn, a lively young woman who had just finished up her masters in child psycology. while she was given the korean name, yerin, her mother gave her the english name; emaile - the name of her late grandaunt. the girl grew up well, and went to malaysian kindergarten. she learned english, malay and korean (her father thought her well). but by the time emalie reached the age of six, the family moved back to seoul; her fathers' hometown.
it wasn't that hard to adjust for emalie - who went by yerin in her school - she was young, and she made friends easily. her mother ushered her into rhythmic gymnastics at the age of eight, and with the help of her natural flexibility, she easily got into the south korean national rhythmic gymnastics team a year later. but her older sister though... didn't have smooth sailings like emalie did. her sister was outcasted for not being good in korean and soon enough she started skipping school and mixing with the wrong crowd. her sister started to become a smoking bully and she pondered in negativity; constantly disobeying their parents.
it affected the family gravely, and they slowly tore apart. netherless, emalie continued to do what she loved. she was scouted by CUBE at the age of twelve and got in. without her parent's permission, she quit the team and joined CUBE and that's where it became her escape from her home life. after the time she was transferred to jellyfish, her sister got into an accident, being hit by a car. she lived, and that made the family reunite, where her sister cleaned up. emalie currently goes to seoul performing arts high school.
