Personality:
Darren is the most optimistic and most eccentric person you'll meet. He's always happy and excited to meet new people, often scaring most with his overly cheery greeting (which he's learned to tone down). He puts the safety of others before his own, he even puts the safety of animals/nature before his own. He's extremely selfless, caring, sweet, and kind hearted. However, when needed, he's strict (mainly during practice), commanding, and a bit harsh with others. Family background:
Darren was raised in Toronto, Canada to two dads. His whole family was completely male, yet he grew up just fine without a mother figure (because his more feminine father was like a mom to him). His parents eloped to Canada after being shunned in China by their family members. Darren was adopted by the young gay couple from Korea when he was still an infant while Henry, his cousin, was raised by Aaron and Aiden at the age of 3 after his parents died from a car crash. Years later, the Chiu family moved to Seoul after Henry passed SM's Global audition in Canada. 
Life in Korea wasn't as bad as he thought it would be despite not knowing any Korean. He attended school while Henry trained at the SM building. Aaron, their dad, found work as a photographer for CeCi while Aiden, their 'mom', works as an MC/Host for various events (he's currently working for SBS and often helps with Mnet America and Pops in Seoul). At the age of 16, Darren came out to his parents and introduced his first boyfriend to them. Of course, being raised by a gay couple, he was accepted immediatly by his parents and Henry.
At the age of 17, Darren visited the SM building to see how his cousin was doing. The two ended up dancing in one of the dance studios just for fun. At that moment, one of SM's choreographers passed by and was extremely impressed by the two cousins. Darren became known as the mysterious dance machine because no one knew who he was. Henry introduced him to the CEO and Darren became an official trainee of SM Entertainment.

Personality:
Taemin | He is extremely sweet, caring and a worry wort, much like Key is with him. He, like Darren, puts the health and safety of others before his own and often gets hurt. Since he's so optimistic, he's usually always smiling yet he can be stubborn. He loves using his aegyo on people to get what he wants, like banana milk. However, in the practice room, he's focused and lets out all his emotions through dancing or singing.
Kris | He is the chic and cool guy with the big ego and a y smirk. He's usually calm and very understanding, keeping his mouth shut during any awkward or tension filled situations. He loves skinship and isn't afraid to show it, on and off the camera with whoever he wants (his current target is Darren). However, his huge ego sometimes makes him unbearable to be with but he tones his down and has a soft spot for those around him.
