personality — Kana is the type of person that would really make you think about by not judging a book by its cover. I say that because when you first meet Kana you see a person that looks like someone you really don't want to mess with but the funny thing is she probably the funniest and kindest person you'll ever meet. She has this personality that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy and what not. Kana grew up on the island of Maui. She is half Japanese and Spanish (Japanese from the dad and Spanish from mom). She grew up living different nationalities all around her along with her father, grandma, grandpa and her 4 brothers; her mom passed away when she was still little. Growing up in family and a neighborhood with music playing and people dance she couldn’t stop her self but to love music. She was into band when she was in middle school along with her best friend Mari-Chan and also they both got into k-pop.
At the age of 15 she got into rapping, because of her brother and cousins. They said she has a talent to become a rapper and meant a lot to her because people didn’t see girls as rappers; even her father who didn’t seem to like it at first now loves it. Later on in the years she and her friends heard about a new about an audition and its world wide. So her and her friends decide to make audition tapes, they sent them and waits and see what happens. A couple of months later she gotten a call from the company saying if she would like to auditions for them live, she could believe and said yes; When she got home she told her whole family the news; her father closed up the ramen shop to have a dinner celebration with her, her friends and family celebrated the news.
Then there was the other thing she felt wrong, she would have to leave home and move to a new different country even though she knew the language she still is a bit of the beginner; her grandma pushed her to follow her dream no matter what because she might not get the same opportunity like this ever again and said her mother would of told her to follow her dreams also. Her brother Isamu went with her to Korea so she wouldn’t feel alone; as she auditions, the entertainment loved her then training begins. Her and her older brother took Korean classes together after his college classes; he would always help her, he even drop her off and pick her up from training and drop off her lunch. Then when she was old enough she moved into the dorms but she and her brother would always have Friday dinner nights together and Saturday together also she would help him study for his test. Then when she gotten the new of getting into a new girl group Kana could really believe coming from two different cultures she thought she couldn’t do it in the music world especially in a different country; even others thought that also but she proves them wrong.
