Personality:

Xan is nothing if not adaptable. After all, living basically her whole life in the underbelly of Rome has drilled that painfully into her dainty, scarred head. When in any situation or dealing with any person, you can count on her to acclimate to the circumstances. When talking to a person, she examines their interests and conforms herself to their likes and style of diction, which makes it easy to extract information when combined with her irresistable charm. Because of the different natures of the various jobs she takes on, she can change from a heartless killer to a sensual seductress within minutes. Her ability and skill is by far advanced, and her work ethic is flawless when it comes to the business she's affiliated in. She is the perfect employee, and when on the job, she separates her own emotions from the goal of the assignment. This, paired with her abilities she's garnered over the years, is what makes her so successful and expensive in Rome's underground.

However, sometimes, success comes with consequences, and in Alexandria's case, it arrived in the form of a corrupted mind. Though she does separate her emotions from her business, she cannot do the same for the things she's seen. The faces of those she's murdered come to mind each night before she goes to sleep. They torment her, torture her own sanity until she's left passed out from the stress and fear and guilt. Unfortunately, those are not the only boundaries of her crooked mind. Her morals as a person have gone from normal to despicable; it is to the point that even if she walks by a someone begging for help, she'll go on by without batting an eye. Despite this, she often feels like she is trapped within her mind, and she can't get out. Inside, she is trapped in an emotional, psychological maze that she's trying to claw her way through. Though she is plagued with disgraceful behavior and tainted memories, she continues doing jobs mostly because she needs the money, and it's the quickest way to earn abundant amounts of cash in a short amount of time.

In general, she strict, practical even, especially with herself. She's become a hardened soul over the years and has learned that not everything is what it seems in the beginning. The only time when she goes thorugh a complete personality change is if it affects the success of her job. There aren't many people she allows herself to relax with, excluding Tablo, and even then, she still retains a sort of line to which she can relax to. Though she is strict with herself, she isn't above sarcastic remarks, especially when it comes to Tablo. She doesn't abide by the rules of anything, and she marches to the beat of her own internal drum. She is stubborn, and she does not let anything or anyone get to her. Often, she views as the job's success as a competitiion, and she never ever likes to lose. Her internal fire inside her lights up when she is arguing with someone or proving some wrong because she never likes to be wrong. It is to her understanding that she is tainted with the things she's done and the things she's seen, and although she does not bring it up, she does not turn away from the truth that she is as low as scum and maybe even lower than that. She is a professional in everything she does, and she intends to keep it that way until the day she dies.

Background:

Xan was born in Barcelona, Spain to a Spanish chef and aspiring Chinese painter. In the early days of her childhood, her parent's relationship was rocky with fights occurring more often and doors slamming, signaling that her father left the house. Eventually, the fights led  to their divorce and their mother taking custody of both her children, considering that their father would not fight for them in court. In search of a new life, they moved to Hong Kong, China, and after the amounts of money spent on the divorce, they found themselves short on money. It is there when Alexandria was first introduced to the underground world. Though she did not spend much time there, she did get the gist of some things, and did some jobs here and there to help earn money, albeit rarely and sporadically. Whereas it wasn't anything like assassination jobs, she did do drug dealing and other small jobs, even resorting to stealing at certian points. When she turned 17, her mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away half a year later. Julian, who was now Xan's legal guardian, followed in his mother's footsteps and decided to leave China to start fresh without any bad memories. This led them to Brizo, and once there, Julian found love. A bit estranged after her mother's death, Xan felt as if she was left by herself since her brother was so busy with his own life and with his own lover.

Soon after, the siblings ran though tough times as jobs were getting scarce and the pay to the ones available were minimum wage, hardly enough to pay the rent to their apartment. Desperate to keep them afloat, Xan returned to her knowledge of the underground and did other seemingly harmless jobs to earn a bit of cash. Unfortunately, their tough times also resulted in their semi-estranged relationship. They argued and fought more, and she became more immersed in the world of drugs and . It remained this way for the next three years, in which Julian occupied himself with work and his girlfriend, and Xan busied herself with learning the skills and rules of the underground from various "mentors." During her time there, she fell deeper and deeper into corruption, choosing to accept assassination missions and other tainting jobs. Eventually, Xan felt as if there was no longer any reason to stay with her brother, considering that he had fallen so in love that he invited his girlfriend to stay with them despite their financial troubles. Furious, she stomped out of their apartment and went homeless, looking for jobs she that accommodated her set of skills. She accepted any job that paid well and even joined a gang. Julian tried looking for her, but he was out of his experience and didn't even try treading underground territory. This went on for six months, that is, until she met Tablo.

Tablo is a freelancer who does jobs underground for anyone who will pay well. He doesn't side with anyone, and he doesn't get into anything without confirming his neutrality. He is well-known thorughout the underbelly of Rome and is highly regarded for his skills and work ethic. When returning from a job, he spotted Xan on the side of the street completely soaked from head to toe because of the constant rain that day. Sympathizing because of her young age, he tried to coax her into coming to his place to clean up, but Xan, world-weary by the ripe age of twenty, refused. After that day, he took the same way home, and each time, trying to convice her to come with him. Eventually, his hard work paid off when he found her in the same place with a bleeding gunshot wound, and too hazed in pain to conprehend anything, allowed him to take her to his apartment. After finding out she had been shot in a gang fight, he sought to deepen their bond as friends because he saw himself in her, considering that he had gone the same road she had. After he had learned her from the inside out (which took about four to five months), he convinced her leave her gang life, and using his wide influence and connections, got her out safely. After that, he took her under his wing and taught her everything he knows, eventually leading her to have the same occupation as he. To this day, they still live together and sort out different jobs together, their bond never wavering.

→ Personality: Flirty and uninhibited, Jaejoong pretty much seems like he doesn't know what he's doing, but in reality, he's always two steps ahead of everyone else. He is a strategist, and with his charming personality, it makes him perfect ot extract information. Though he may seem like he doesn't his job or anything seriously, he always knows what he's doing and knows what he's going to do next. Ever-so-alluring, Jaejoong keeps women on their toes and men entertained with intelligent small talk. Paired with his innate elegance and grace in everything he does, he leaves people wanting more of him, making him a popular person. The reason of him joining the Resistance is simply because more people are suffering than they are prospering, him formerly being so. 
→ Relationship:

How they act | Jaejoong is quick to advance on Xan whereas she is just as quick to reject his advancements. They have more like a whiny dog and strict master relationship. He tries to use all his charms on her, but they continue fail one after another. He doesn't know what to do, and so he submits to an old, different way to woo a woman. Whereas Jaejoong views her as this mysterious enigma who he can't wait to crack, Xan pictures him like a fly that won't go away and leave her alone. He is whiny around her, trying to initiate playful banter with her and learn more about how she acts and who she is. She, on the other hand, gives him curt straight answers that reveal very little of who she is and where she comes from. When their feelings grow stronger, their playful banter turns into intense tension and ual desire. Their need for one another seems almost indescribeable and irresistable.

How they met | He saw her after meeting with the leader of the Resistance, and after seeing her few times, became intrigued with her because of how she acted and who she affiliated herself with and what she does for a living. Then, one day, he saw her walking home at night after one of her jobs and decided to "bump" into her, which earned him a hard glare and a quiet growl. From then on, he's made it a point to make himself known to her outside of the Resistance (to protect his disguise as a spy), but only arranges their meetings are points of the night where he knows for sure he will not be spotted and where he will intercept her.

Who likes who first? | He likes her first.

Other information | He's a spy for the Resistance and disguises himself as a(n) [insert role] to Emperor Julius Caesar/ the Roman government. However, he only reports to the leader of the Resistance, in order to reduce the chance of getting caught, and therefore, no one else in the Resistance knows about his existence.

→ Personality: Kris, in short, has a stick up his . He is the exact same as Xan, with strict morals and impeccable work ethic. There is not really a good time to approach him, as he looks like he is just about ready to kill someone all the times. He approaches everything with clinical, cold calculation, and there are very few times where he jokes around. He is pretty much serious all the time, and with an icy voice, it is obvious that even though he is at the top of his class, he doesn't have much of a social life. Influenced much by his father, he believes that Emperor Caesar is what is keeping this empire from collapsing and that he is a god in doing so.
→ Relationship:

How they act | Their relationship with each other in the beginning was filled with tension. They regarded each other with a certain amount of respect because of their similar work ethics, but the amount of similarity in their personalities clashed with one another. This, in turn, caused dislike between one another and arguements that resulted in fists balling and venomous words spewing. Eventually, when they discover their feelings for one another, their relationship takes a turn from heated arguements to awkward interactions, as if the other one is about to break. However, they cover this up by ignoring the awkward atmosphere and continuing to spit out derogatory insults and remarks to one another. Their relationship when they are forced to confront their feelings is akin to teenagers confessing to their first love, and therefore, there is a lot of blushing and hesistancy in doing things.

How they met | Kris was trusted with the assignment on researching this "Resistance" arising in Rome. He was scouring around when he ran into Xan, who was making her way back home. Friction was created right off the bat, and he kept meeting her after that, arguing with her each time they met.

Who likes who first? | There isn't really anyone who really likes the other one first. It just kind of happened around the same time.

Other information | The son of the current general under Emperor Julius Caesar. He's currently learning the ropes from his father to learn how to run an army correctly along with his Academy education also helping him in this area of expertise.

 

Scene Requests: Maybe later deeper in their relationship, Xan's love interest just breaks down because of something, and she just stands there awkwardly because she doesn't know what to do. Then, she decides to hold his hand (fingers intwined) and just sits there, clutching onto his hand as if it's life or death.

Comments/Anything Else: So, I'm not really sure if you'll allow kind of heated moments in your story. Not really scenes, but like, with Jaejoong and Xan's relationship, just heated gazes that just say that they want each other.
