Description: Haebyul stands at 167 cm and weighs 51 kg. Her long, brown hair is usually tied in a pony tail (high or low, depends on her mood) or braided and resting on right shoulder. She rarely lets her hair loose unless she feels like it, which could be at any time and place. She also has bangs covering her forehead which she likes to run her fingers through at times. Her body is fit – not too thin and not too chubby either.

Haebyul’s style tends to vary but when it’s all said and done, she often goes for the comfortable type. Depending on her mood and the weather, her clothing varies from shorts, skirts, t-shirts, sweaters and everything in between. In summer, she goes for the stronger colors which stands out a little more like yellow, green, orange, red and so on. During winter, she tones it down with slightly darker colors like blue, black, purple and more.

Personality: A wallflower means a person who doesn’t socialize but for Haebyul, instead of looking at this as being antisocial, she prefers the silence which comes with being alone most of the time. Not having people up in her face all the time is quite relaxing for her to know and she likes to spend time alone. This doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t welcome anyone who took the initiative to talk to her. In fact, she would like to embrace them in a hug (which would probably freak them out so, considering how it’s their first meeting, so she refrains from doing so).

One would think that a wallflower would go unnoticed by the people around, and she does most of the time, yet she still stands out like a sore thumb in certain situations, the P.E. classes being the perfect example. Her classmates are doing a good (and rather wise) job in keeping a distance from her when they do activities using tools. She’s very clumsy and doesn’t seem to have much coordination which usually ends up in someone (mostly herself) getting hurt. One thing she’s good at is running, she can run fast and run long distances as it seems that she has the stamina for it, surprisingly.

Another reason to why people would keep a distance from her is the way she talks. Whatever she say is understandable, most of the time, but keeping a conversation with her could be a pain in the unless you were as strange as her, had something in common or you just thought she was interesting. When talking, she often answers a question with a question or ends the sentence with “you know?” when speaking in English. She likes to beat around the bush and easily loses track of the conversation if someone doesn’t stop her, e.g. while talking about different love theories she could suddenly be talking about trains.

While being peculiar, she has never tried to even fit in, thinking it’s a waste of the person that she is. Even if she gets weird glances and people might be talking behind her back, why would she change and become like everybody else if she’s happy just the way she is? Haebyul is cool about being a peculiar wallflower and has no thoughts of changing anytime soon.

Background: Haebyul was never the one to boast about how her brother was Big Bang’s Daesung, yet, when people found out about it, they claimed that she used this fact to become popular at school. Not liking to be accused of something she definitely didn’t do, this was one rare time where she totally lost her cool and threw a fit. She put this event behind and moved on, but to avoid it to happen ever again, she doesn’t mention his name (or her sister’s name) when people asks her about her siblings. It also helps that she looks nothing like him so people wouldn’t suspect anything. Daesung is fully understanding of the situation and lets her do as she wishes (he knows she still loves him so he doesn’t really care, honestly).
Lifestyle: Although she’s old enough to move out and live alone, she chose to live under her parent’s roof because she likes to have her family around (she also loves the smell of the food the chef makes – the family lives on the second floor of the restaurant they own). Haebyul doesn’t have a fixed job but rather run small errands here and there for people in the neighborhood, which is why there are many people who own her favors.

Closest Friend: Haebyul likes the confident and bold personality of Break the Friendzone. Although the two girls are quite different, Haebyul, being the quirky girl that she is, has always opted for the friends whose personality are different from her, liking to see how their friendship would turn out with such different personalities.
Distant Friend: Despite not having any hard feelings for the girl, One More Chance seems too gullible for her liking. Haebyul doesn’t really believe in old lovers becoming new lovers, but then again, who is she to speak about love and judge what other people do?

His Personality: Friendly and easy-going, Jongdae, at first glance, would seem like a wallflower just like Haebyul herself, but over time he proves himself to be more than that. Behind that gentle demeanor hides a childish boy who is easily amused by the littlest things. It’s as if he saw the world through the eyes of a five year old and he proves to be more carefree than Haebyul initially thought.
His Initial Reaction: To him, it sounded logical that two people who had the same interests would fall in love with each other. Yet, he also believes in other cases, such as two people who were meant to fall in love with each other, but they were not meant to be together. If that was the case, then so be it.

How you act: Haebyul is definitely more talkative being with Jongdae and it’s mostly because he’s the one starting most, if not all, their conversations.
Anything Else:
♠ They both love to eat food quite a lot, but unlike Haebyul, who can’t cook to save her life, Jongdae proves to be a very good cook. On the contrary, she’s good at baking so she doesn’t fall behind much.

What are the interests you have in common with him? Train rides (travelling in general), going to concerts in the summer, reading, eating food, riding the bike to get somewhere instead of taking the bus or train and they both have a collection of something.
Where did you meet him? Their first meeting was on a train ride back to Seoul. They sat across from each other on the train and when he saw what kind of book she was reading, he began a conversation and the trip back become less boring for the both of them. They later found out that they attended the same university when they met again in the library, reaching for the same LP plate.
