Banners?

Uhm, OK so I'd just like to address the fact that I have a Macbook Pro and exactly no idea how to even make pretty banners like most people have and it's really bumming me out... /le cries

SO! Is there a specific website people use to make cool banners, or? I don't even know. If you make banners, could you gimme tips or like tell me if there's an ap I need to download or whatever? /creys

Ah, also, poster artists tend never to use websites or apps, they almost always use GIMP and Photoshop. :3
