❝ don'thateme.

personality — Su Oh is an independent person with great leadership skills. She has a lot of confidance and determination. Whenever she sets her mind on something, she'll do whatever it takes to achieve that goal. She is driven and hardworking, and she puts 110% into everything she does. Su Oh loves the feeling of overcoming things. It makes her feel powerful and strong (in a good way, not a dictator-ly way). When she runs into something she can't handle by herself, she'll try even harder or she'll rely on others for a little help. So it's safe to say that she is a perfectionist who will try her best to achieve anything she desires to.
A negative trait about her is that she is really stubborn. No matter how hard you try to convince her into going your way, she'll just ignore you and do whatever she thinks is right. Sometimes this can lead her into sticky situations, but she will always find a way to get out of it. Her stubborness is also a key to her success. Without it, she might've given up on a lot of things. At one point her in her life, specifically when she started high school, her parents were telling her to stop taking ballet lessons because they thought handling school and her activities outside of school would cause their daughter to stress out. But Su Oh pressed on and pushed their idea out of her way, and she was glad too. After that event, her parents were happy that she was so stubborn about it because Su Oh became quite successful with her ballet skills. So her stubborness can come in handy too.
Even though she grew up with proper manners, Su Oh is never afraid to speak her mind. She always says what's on her mind, and at the right times too. Her choice of words is amazing. She can be very persuasive when needed with her outstanding vocabulary. Su Oh is never afraid to share anything about herself with others. What's the point of having secrets about yourself when they're just going to be out in the open sooner or later? She'll keep secrets about others to herself though. When people talk about her behind her back in a mean way, she won't back down and will confront them face to face. She isn't afraid to talk back to people (although she'll only do it when she thinks it is needed).  Su Oh just has good judgment of things, so she knows when to use her big mouth, but actually, she doesn't cuss at all. Unless you think "darn it" or "poopy" are bad words.
Something that not many people know about her is that she faces a lot of insecurities about herself. No matter how strong and confidant she looks on the outside, she is actually really judgmental about herself. Whenever she does something, she'll always have to question herself. 'Am I doing the right thing?' 'Should I have done something else?' She asks herself these questions quite often. Su Oh likes to contemplate over her actions, which is why going to quiet and less-crowded areas to hang out is one of her hobbies. When others think that what she did is perfect, Su Oh will always try to find something wrong about her actions, even the most smallest details. It's just her sense of character. It makes her laugh because the person who annoys her the most is none other than... herself.
background history
— Su Oh was born into a prestigious family filled with talented artists in pottery, photography, and musicians. The Han's even own a museum in Ulsan, South Korea. Su Oh lived a happy life with her parents and her older brother, Jaehun. She was raised with a mature and hardworking mindset. Her parents taught her and her brother proper manners, and pushed them to do their best, but in a kind and supportive way. With the skills taught by her parents, Su Oh was able to do exceptionally well in school and social life. Aside from academics, Su Oh was really focused on her artisitic life. She started ballet at the age of five, and gymnastics and  piano lessons at the age of seven. Su Oh also started playing the harp at the age of thirteen. In school, Su Oh was quite popular with the other kids. Everyone liked her strength and determination. It was really easy for her to make friends because she is so outspoken and courageous, plus she had great leadership skills.
♦ why did she leave, why did she return — Su Oh left the town because her parents had to move to Ulsan in order to inherit the museum that her deceased grandfather left to her father. In Ulsan, Su Oh furthered her studies in both academics and art. She attends the University of Ulsan, majoring in Dance (ballet). But something unexpected happens during her ballet class. As she was practicing a routine, she landed on her foot the wronf way, causing her ankle to twist horribly. After going to the hospital for treatment, she was told that she may never be able to dance like the way she does again. So as rehab, she leaves Ulsan and goes back to the town. There, she hoped to find inspiration to get back on her feet again.

family
♦ Mother | Han/Lee Tang Wei | 47 | Photographer | Caring, Wise, Witty, Stubborn | Tangwei and Su Oh are like best friends. They always share what's on their minds to each other. Su Oh always feels safe and secure whenever she is near her mother. They always gang up on Su Oh's father and brother because they have so much in common personality-wise.
♦ Father | Han Dong Jun | 48 | Potter - Pottery and Ceramics | Smart, Strict (in a fatherly manner), Kind, Stubborn | Su Oh isn't as close to her father as she is with her mother. Dong Jun is a very strict father who pushes his kids to do their best, but he is actually kind-hearted and understanding. When Su Oh's mother isn't around, he is the one Su Oh goes to to let all her frustrations out to. She likes to talk to him too because Dongjun is a good listener. They have a really strong father-daughter bond.
♦ Older Brother | Han Jae Hun | 23 | Orchestra Conductor/ Professional Violinist | Stubborn, Serious, Blunt, Passionate | Jae Hun and Su Oh have a normal sibling relationship. They fight, compete, and make fun of each other, but they love each other dearly. They're like twins because they're personalities are so similar. They're a very competitive duo; always butting heads and seeing who's better than who. But they're similarities is what
best friend
— The Fifth Plot Line | She is quiet and hardworking. She has a lot of determination and strong-will, which is why Suo and her get along so well. They both like to talk about they're dreams and their futures to each other whenever they see each other. When Suo has problems, she goes to her best friend because she likes how her best friend can listen to her and stay quiet without much commentary. Suo relies on this girl's intellectual insight though. She always goes to her best friend for advice, and help with school work of course.
friends
♦ Jia - Miss A | 20 | College Student/Dance Instructor's Assistant | Smart, Laidback, Confident, Reliable | Jia and Suo are classmates in dance class. The two have been classmates ever since college started. They always have each other's backs when someone tries to mess with them. They both share an interest in gymnastics, and like to practice ballet and gymnastics together. If Su Oh doesn't have her family or best friend to go to, Jia is the person she would go to if she had any problems.
♦ Jongup - BAP | 19 | Student/Cafe Barista | Shy, Carefree, Understanding, Funny | Even though he is younger than Suo, he actually takes care of her. He's like another 'older' brother to Suo. They have a cute noona-dongsaeng relationship though. They met back in high school when Suo stood up for him when he got bullied. After that, they became good friends. He is also a great dancer, so he teaches Suo hip hop dancing while Suo teaches him ballet (but he usually ends up making a ballet routine into some hip hop thing).

rival — Victoria Song [f(x)] | 21 | College Student/No Job | Competitive, Snobbish, Determined, Snarky |  Victoria and Su Oh are classmates in dance class. Both of them are very talented dancers striving to be the best. Both of them don't like to lose, so they have a competitive rivalry, which only pushes them harder to be the best.

❝ killthislove. ❞ —

love interest — Lay
birthdate + age
— 10/07/91 - 21
how you guys met — Lay and Su Oh met at the dance studio. Lay was walking down the hallway of the studio, while Su Oh was having ballet class. As he was passing by the room Su Oh was in, he stopped and watched her dance passionately and gracefully. He was in awe. Su Oh noticed him by the door and ushered him to come in. Lay hesitantly obliged, and walked over to Su Oh. She introduced herself and asked Lay if he wanted to dance with her. The two kids danced and laughed together. After that, Lay took her out for ice cream across the street from the dance studio, and they became friends.
personality
— Lay is the quiet and humble type of guy. He lets other people do the talking while he listens, unless he really has something to say. He is also hardworking, but forgetful at the same time. Once he remembers something, he might end up forgetting another thing, but it's only for small things, likes objects, and some big things, like important dates. It's not like he has amnesia everyday or something. And lastly, Lay likes to make people laugh with corny jokes and derpiness. He just has a personality that lures you into liking him (in a friendly way - or more).
relationship

♦ Before the big split, Su Oh and Lay were super duper close. They always shared their thoughts with each other. Being a quiet guy, Lay wouldn't share much with just anybody, but Su Oh was the exception. He was carefree around Su Oh; he forgot about his humble ways. Su Oh was the same. She felt like a free person whenever they were together; being all mischievious and playing pranks together. She especially loved his corny jokes that would make her laugh, no matter how dumb they are. They were really close to each other. The common interest in dancing and music made their bond even stronger. They loved to compose music and make up dance routines together.
♦ Once they saw each other again, Lay became shy around her. He didn't realize how pretty she was until now, and he felt jumpy whenever they were together, but this was only at first. Su Oh was still the same; a girl who is as free as a bird. After Su Oh told him about her accident, Lay swore to her that he would help her get back up on her feet again. He became her support, her rock, someone she could lean on when she fell. Of course, Su Oh was grateful for his support and effort to help her. With his help, she learned to have faith in herself again. Almost everyday, Lay would take Su Oh to the dance studio to help with her rehabilitation in dancing. Both of their personalities were still the same as before, except their maturity levels got a little better. They still liked to share their thoughts with each other, and would spend hours talking to each other. Su Oh still laughed at his corny jokes and Lay was still the funny guy with his forgetfulness.

requested drama scene(s) — Not drama - Lay teaches Su Oh how to play the guitar | Drama - Can't think of any, sorry~
finale — Unrequited; After all that they've been through together, Lay lets Su Oh go to chase after her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. At first, Su Oh was hesitant because she didn't want to let go of what they had together, but he just pushed her away. He didn't want to hold her back with a relationship. Lay figured that it would save her the stress and drama, but in truth, he was regretting his decision. And so, they stayed as friends, but deep down, they still had feelings for each other.

comments + suggestions — I hope it was okay that the sibling was an OC. I didn't know if any of the idols in the masterlist had the last name 'Han', so I just made an OC. By the way, for the finale, I guess that could count as a suggested drama scene because I didn't know if I had to elaborate on the ending. I know my character may seem too perfect, but that's what I was kind of going for; a perfectionist with a lot of aspirations. I hope you don't mind that I put a small diamond at the top of my application; it's just a link to the story, so I that I can have quicker access to the fic.
